After our wedding we looked around for a place to get our clothes cleaned. We stopped at one that was closed, then came to this one that had a note that the owner would be right back. We were about to leave when the owner ran up to let us in. She was friendly, maybe a bit annoying. We asked about having my dress cleaned and she gave helpful advice, recommending that to save money we should just have it cleaned, skip the pressing and the special box, and just put it in a regular box since all you really need is to avoid light. We were leaving for our honeymoon so we said to take her time, and she said she'd call to give us a quote on how much the dress would cost. I got a call from her to call me back and that the dress would cost $120. I called back and left a message saying that was fine and to go ahead. The next day I got another call, much more annoyed, again with the quote and I again told her it was fine. We get back and a couple weeks later we didn't get a call to say if our clothes were done. I thought I'd stop by and they were indeed done. I had to remind the guy at the counter that I had a dress and suit, and he still didn't pull the dress shirts so I reminded him of that as well. The total for a wedding dress, a suit, 5 dress shirts and another pair of slacks came to $169, so I suppose the pricing isn't bad, if you are okay with chasing down your clothes. My wedding dress is not 100% clean. The bottom is still quite dirty. To an extent I expected this because my dress was filthy from taking pictures in the rain, but a "hey, sorry, we couldn't quite get it out, here's what we did to try" would have been nice. I will be posting pictures of my dress. I also asked for a couple minor repairs, mostly to restitch the bra cups that came undone, and apparently the solution to that was to stick some safety pins through them. So. It's a dry cleaner. It did the job (kind of). I wouldn't trust them with anything important and personally I will be going elsewhere in the future. read more

Yeah it's a dry cleaner but the lady working was great. I came in on my way to work Monday to have 3 dress shirts pressed, I hate Ironing. There was a sign on the door that said be back in a jiff with a cell phone number. First impression was awesome, only time for one stop today and the damn person is not even here. I called to see what exactly a jiff really meant and the lady who answered was super nice. She told me I could leave them in the laundry area with my name and phone number and she would call me back when she returned in the next 5-10 minutes. I was a little hesitant considering there were people doing laundry and my stuff was basically just sitting there, but I though what the hell. She called me back in the next 10 minutes as promised and got the shirts ready for me by the next day. She didn't charge me extra, she said since I worked with her when she was away, she would work with me. When I picked up my stuff I could see the price said $17 and some change for 3 shirts, probably cause she sent it to the A1 laundering place, honestly I really don't know. The point is she only charged me $7 bucks, I was really happy and glad I took a chance after a questionable first impression. read more

Old machines where the attendant has to Jimmy to get it to take the money. Change machine is rarely full enough to take a good bill Old dryers take your nice clothes or bed sheets and scrape them up. Old washers rarely get stains out, sometimes clothes are still dry. Owner is clueless about customer service but loves talking about his possessions and vacations. Instead of upgrading machines he puts small change into wall art, signs, and vending that makes you spend more. read more

I hate being that guy that gives a bad review without using the service, but this place didn't even give me a chance to use their service. I stopped by because I had a suit I needed cleaned and it had been hanging around in my car for weeks. A1 was close and had decent reviews. I put it on my list of things to do for the day. Going slightly out of my way to drop the suit off I was greeted by a "be back soon" sign. The note basically said they weren't in, but call them because they were probably not too far away, quite possibly right around the corner. Now I worked at a small business before (three employees, including the owner). We would sometimes have to shut down for lunch if there was only one of us working. The difference was that we worked by appointment. When you run a drop in service you should be there. I had a busy day and I was just going to drop my stuff off and go. I didn't have time to call someone, hoped they picked up, and wait for them to come back. You run a service business, you need to be there to provide service. I ended up taking my suit somewhere else that was a bit further away, but at least I knew they would be there for drop off and pick up. 44/100 read more

Sara was a life saver. I was put into a situation where I needed my entire suit cleaned and ready within a few hours notice. I called to verify that they offered same day service, although it is not advertised, Sara was able to save the day! I offered to tip extra for the inconvenience and quick turn around and she refused to take it. Her response was "Let me help you!" In todays society,customer service is often viewed as an afterthought, but not at this establishment. I will definitely be using this company going forward, they have earned my loyalty read more

I go to A1 Laundry all the time to drop off and wash my comforter. I do like Leslie, the owner...but, so many times when I go there, she is not there. I have to wait or call her on her phone. I have to make multiple trips to get my comforter. Sometimes it is still wet when I pick it up. They don't put a time down for when it will be done. Today, her helper (which I had to wait for) gave me the wrong comforter, so now I have to go back and see if they can find my comforter...I am looking for a new laundry person. I had the WORST experience I have ever had at a dry cleaner. I brought all of my dress pants and a few blazers for dry cleaning and when I went to pick up my clothing, they had forgotten to tell me they wouldn't be ready until the next day. When I came back to pick them up the next day, I noticed that the hem on two of my pants were taken out. I now have to take the pants to a tailor which will probably cost another $30. DO NOT use this company for dry cleaning, Horrible Service, Waste of Money, Ruined Clothes. read more

Lost my $85 shirt and couldn't care less! They don't call me when they say they will, and ask for name and phone number repeatedly. Even said, "we don't know what we are looking for." As I told you multiple times, it is a XXL Ralph Lauren, long-sleeved, button down shirt. No offer of compensation either. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS, THEY DON'T EVEN PRESS SHIRTS VERY WELL. I returned on the scheduled date to pick up my dry cleaning and there was a note on the door saying the attendant would be back later. So, I had to squeeze in a second trip two days later. She jokingly greeted me with the comment, "It's about time you came back." I reminded her that she wasn't there as scheduled two days ago. She replied, "well I've been here all day today." It was 10:00AM (strike 1 for rudeness). When I picked up my clothes, they smelled like cigarette smoke (strike 2)! Furthermore, her credit card reader was slow so she insisted on running it a second time. When I expressed concern that I might be double charged, she said "meh, that's an easy fix if it does." Why risk inconveniencing your customer? Sure enough, I was double charged and now I have to make a special trip back to fix that. STRIKE 3! read more
