New company came out and located my actual septic lid and it was beyond full. Called A1 and lady said that's impossible and I was wrong and new company is wrong. But the tank they did empty wasn't my septic tank. Please people do your research before choosing this company. Also on first visit in 2021 their tanker broke down in my front yard. We made an appointment last weekend for today Wednesday at 430 because this is the only day that I have off to have them come. I get a call today 20 mins before they are supposed to arrive saying they sent their workers home because they have no work so we would need to reschedule. Absolute worst customer service ever. I will not be using this company again and do not recommend. There is clearly a reason you dont have any work if this is how you treat your prescehduled appointments. If I could give negative stars, I would. DO NOT call this company for ANY type of services. They seemed professional until it was time to accept responsability for what they did to my friends septic tank. They were called for a routine pump out. They broke the lid and half of it fell into the septic tank. They let my friend know what happened and even put it on the invoice and said someone would call her to schedule a time to fix it. The following Monday she never recieved a call so she called on Wednesday. The girl in the office said that it was not noted on her invoice and no one told her about it. She also said they were not liable for the lid. They wouldn't answer the phone after that conversation. Once I learned of this, I looked up reviews and found out that this was pretty normal for this company. They cost you more than what they save. I have found that to replace the septic lid can cost between $170 up to $6100 depending on the type of septic tank and lid. My friend sent me pictures of how they covered the lid, they used a piece of concrete from her yard and used one of her cushions from one of her chairs. Unprofessional con artists at this point. Services appear to be limited. Pump out yes, complete system replace yes. But if you want a repair, call someone else. My service request was for them to come to the Mandarin Area and help with septic repair. I was hoping for a younger employee capable of assisting with the heavy concrete septic lid. The gent they sent out was older than me and unable to move concrete lid at all. He was kind and knowledgeable and offered a quote to completely replace my system, exactly what I did not want. I have had two other septic service companies here after A1, asking if I needed to replace and both said no. A simple repair was completed. A friendly offer to rip you off, is still a ripoff. I begged them not to drive heavy equipment up my concrete drive way because there were other approaches, did the listen? No. The rendered my driveway crushed rock, broke limbs off of live oaks, dug up the backyard in way unimaginable. Damage in the 10's of thousands, they compensated me 500 bucks. They claim to clean out tanks but if your not there they don't. No solids. They are a nepotistic family and Diane is at the top of bottom depending on perspective. I called in early January 2023 , Dyanne answered the phone I told her when I flushed One toilet the other's gurgling. She said drainfield needed replacing I ask the cost she said $1,500 $585.00 for the prermit and the rest was applied to the work . So on Jan 7 2023 $1500.00 was taken from my checking acct . A month went by I heard nothing , another month nothing I was calling Dyanne And she would not return my call . This went on for about 3 or 4 months finally I got her on the phone and they had not even applied for the permit.we got into a screaming match and Wayne Joyner who is to the best of my knowledge is the owner heard us . in about 30 minutes Mr Joyner was at my door , said Dyanne was his sister and he would like to strangle her and I replied I would like to help him Dyanne apparently doesn't return phone calls. the last time I talked to Dyanne she said the lot wasn't large enough , I assured her it wasn't going to grow. I was very fortunate and thanks to the city ofJacksonviillegal I was able to provide a way in for the eq that would not ruin the rest of my yard. The end of May they took down 3 panels of white vinyl fence of which Mr Joyner assured me they did every day and started digging leaving A very large hole for 3 weeks waiting for me to get my irrigation man to fix the lines they had cut but did not tell me Joyner had ask if I had irrigation system and if I had somebody that worked on it. Nobody told me that it had been cut just threw the broken pipes back in the woods.it did not pass health dep inspection first time they finally filled the hole June 30 th . They ran out of dirt instead of ordering more to finish the job correctly they pushed the dirt from behind me to cover the 6 inch space under my privacy fence the dirt is so soft I am going to have to pay someone to bring more and even it out I am a widow 83 years old and on a fixed income. It is so soft I got a small bottle brush tree and had to use an old trellis to hold it up. By this time I had paid them $3400 with the same amt when finished . I ask Joyner to pay half of the cost of the irrigation bill $750.00 he said he would that was a lie to . The men that worked seemed to be working hard and it was extremely hot I think it all goes back to management. 8/28/20 I paid to have my septic Tank clean out and replace my old pump with a new pump, 14 days later my septic stop working again, sewage backing up in the house again this was on a Friday evening, company was not open on the weekend, I had no toilet or shower usage. Called on Monday they did send a crew out but the pump they had replaced on 8/28 was not new it was a use pump. Thank God it quit before the year guarantee had expired I have learned from now on to keep my old pump and make sure the new pump Is new out of the box to be replaced. The crew that came out the second time was very knowledgeable and fixed professionally. It was very inconvenient and could have been handled correctly the first time. A little over a year ago I paid $350 for A1 Septic to pump my 1000 gallon tank! Within 24 hours this tank was full and causing lines to back ups in bathrooms and kitchen. The man who came out assured me my drain field was in good shape and I just needed to pay him $95 to snake my lines out, which I did. I was not home to oversee this work, but my daughter-in-law was. She stated to me the never lifted the lid off tank up, but only cracked an opening to get hose in it. Fast forward one year my tank is having issues again so I call out another Septic Tank contractor and they stated that this tank could not have been possibly been pumped out completely with the amount of septic waste that was built up just one year before. Called this company and they responded the next morning only to find out I was misinformed by the company that installed our septic a year ago. They needed to dig in the yard, however, I had it blocked. They said no problem, get it accessible and we can come back tomorrow morning, so I did, they showed up promptly Saturday morning. Found the tank real quick, accessed the problem, tank was full and should not be after one year. Turns out the drain field is bad and should have been replaced along with the new tank, the other guys missed this. A1 stuck with the original charge to pump it out, no additional charge for coming on Friday, very professional, understanding, and also educated us on septic care and maintenance since we have never had a septic system. We have a Home Warranty and they were contracted by the HW company to come out and fix our septic system. their interpretation of problem is "pump the tank" We do not have a "pump the tank" problem; our problem is the drain field. Set an appointment over 2 weeks in advance to have our septic drained on Saturday. Was given an 8-12 time frame. When no one showed by 12 started calling and no answer all day. Was basically held hostage for the entire day waiting to see if they showed up. Called at 8am on Monday and was told crew didn't show up on Saturday and they would try to get us worked in today. Called back and ask if there would be some kind of a discount and the very nice receptionist said she understood and would have the dispatcher call me back. Dispatcher called me and said best she could do was move me to next in line and there world be no discount and she didn't need these kind of messages. I was very kind everytime I talked to them. Being a southeast regional planner for an LTL Company I was taken back by what she said. In my business it's all about customer service and that's how you keep the customer coming back.
