They did a great job both times, and both jobs were done in a reasonably quick timeframe. The paint matched perfectly, and I was very pleased with their overall workmanship. I felt better using their shop for my repairs than some of the larger "chain" body shops in town, where even getting an estimate required an appointment several weeks out. This shop primarily does custom restorations, and I've seen some really cool vintage cars onsite.

This man will hook you up. He understands and specializes in classic car restoration. Going over my receipt now, I see he gave me all the parts at his cost. He only charged for labor!! After going over what we needed he gave me great advice on insurance companies special for classics and for the parts he wasn't working on (transmission). He told me about a place and explained why they were the best (but we will save that for a different review). He really wants to help you with your car. He doesn't try to outsmart you or condescend like the typical "I have something to prove" guy. Don't waste your time taking your summer ride to a different place. This is your guy. He fixed my bumper that was partially torn and falling off my car for under $200 when all other repair shops were quoted me over $1000 and most were in the $1200-$1600 range. I was so grateful I bought him a giant steak burrito from Big Ten Burrito. He had bought the repair shop location from unscrupulous owners in the past and he moved from Ypsilanti. Whenever anyone needs autowork done, I tell them to go see Dan. You can't even tell my bumper was fixed, he's that good.

And I have to say, I'm sad I missed all that time exploring this gorgeous shop! Their selection includes a variety of stones at different price points, sizes, shapes, etc. Some are cut into cylinders and spheres, pyramids, skulls, hearts, etc while others are left in their original shape, though their edges are smoothed from polishing. They carry jewelry pieces with stones incorporated as well as a variety loose stones for making your own. Since then I've also started following some rock tumbling folks on IG (very satisfying, tho I had no idea the process took so long!) and it's been fun looking for some of the polished stones I see in their videos in person in the store. I have a new appreciation for the process and I've even considered picking up some of their unpolished/raw stones and giving it a try myself (though I don't know if I need anymore hobbies!). They also carry fossils, a few different mediums of artwork including works by local artists, plus stationery, prints, journals, tape, decorative water bottles, etc. Plenty of options whether you're giving a gift or getting a lil' treat for yourself!

I walked in on a Saturday, and they quoted me 90 min to get things done. I'm not sure how long it actually took because I was working in the lobby and lost track of time. They don't have wifi back in the office yet. The service guy was nice, and he didn't try to push any unnecessary repairs. I did raise an eyebrow at the price of a little over $100 for the services. The price was higher than I expected, although I guess that is partially my fault for not asking how much it would be before I handed my keys over.
