We hired A2B Movers during our move on December 2020. I honestly didn't think we had much left to do as I needed movers to help pack the "big" stuff, like beds, dressers, etc. We lived in a 3-story home at the time and a few hours turned into a whole day. I have to say, they packed everything really well.. wrapped everything, re-assembled and even put things in our new home where we needed it. I was concerned about our Peloton bike the most, as I've heard some other people had a bad experience with movers cracking the screen. Glad to say, the Peloton bike was in perfect condition. I highly recommend. They're professional, thorough and efficient. I left some area's in our old home to pack at a later time (aka, last minute, before I had to hand my keys to the new buyer, lol) but I was surprised they did it for me and I had no issues finding anything. We went with A2B because of the fast, courteous response to our inquiry. Their quote came in between $50 and $90 LOWER than any of their competition. We used the Yelp $50 savings voucher as well. Overall we saved more than $200 from a previous move with the same amount of furniture. We couldn't have been more pleased with the service provided by Nick online to set everything up. Then the two gentlemen who moved us, VS and Kerry were fantastic! They were very professional, courteous and helpful. Everything was packed meticulously and no damage was done. One item that needed attention, an Ikea tv stand, became wobbly in the move and the guys worked to tighten and make it as good as new. THANK YOU. II booked a local move for a relative who lives in the bay area, with the idea that the movers could take the furniture and I could wrangle the boxes. Conformed the date and time both by phone and email as my time was very limited. They missed the estimated arrival time, with no phone call. I called them and they promised two hours they would be there. They missed that too, saying it would be another 3 hours. At this point I canceled, rented a uhaul, and completed the move on my own. I used A2B movers for my move 2 weeks ago and finally got around to writing this review now... I saw the reviews on yelp and reached out from their website. Jeff provided a quote that was very reasonable among companies I checked with. They sent reminder emails on day before move to confirm timing. Eric and team showed up on time and worked diligently to pack and move all my stuff in the next 6.5 hours, without wasting time anywhere. And they were polite and patient with additional requests we had to move around boxes few times at the destination. Definitely recommend for any one doing local moves in bay area. read more

I booked these movers for a move from a 1 bedroom apartment to another 1 bedroom apartment in the same city. I chose them based off of the positive reviews I read on yelp. Unfortunately, my experience with the two movers, one of them in particular was not the best. First, the movers arrived almost 45 minutes late. Understandable, things happen. But second, during the move, the movers were not the most careful and did hit my furniture into a few walls. Third issue, and the main reason for me leaving this review, is at the end when the movers were finished, one of them told me how much I owe and then proceeded to tell me how much I should give each of them for a tip. The mover proceeded to just stare at me and wait for me to pull more money out of my wallet. This made me feel extremely uncomfortable as the mover seemed as though he would not leave until I gave him and the other mover the exact amount of money they said I should be giving them. I have never encountered this situation before and thought it to be extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable. Because of the entire experience I will not be recommending them to any family or friends for their future moving needs. I surely believe in tipping, but tipping fairly for the job that was done. The tip amount should never be pressured on the customer, especially to the point of making them feel uncomfortable as I did. read more

My move day started with a pleasant surprise, when Ron gave me a call just to let me know that he and Alex would be arriving in ~20 mins. When Ron and Alex arrived, Ron had first kindly reminded me of all the terms (eg. fuel surcharge, double drive time, etc), and thereafter, my move had been very pleasant throughout. I particularly appreciate that Ron would always keep me appraised of the time, as their charge would be by the hour. Ron would say things such as, "We are starting at 9:30;" "We will need to secure the items, it would take ~ 20 minutes;" or "We are heading out at 10:50." Needless to say, as Ron had told me when they started, Ron and Alex completed the job "as quick as possible." I would highly recommend Ron and Alex to anyone who is looking for a mover. Update: we just found out that our table was chipped too. Very slow and they broke our cot. We had everything packed and ready to go, and thought it will be over within 3 hours (We were moving within 20miles). But it took them 7 hours for moving a 1bed apartment!! Details: The charge is per hour. Two people arrived and they split up the work. One was packaging furnitures (dining table and 2 chairs, desk, book shelf and a cot), and the other was transporting boxes. My husband was standing downstairs to keep the gates open. But the other guy never showed up with the packages (1 floor below and we had elevator) for a long time after he left. And the guy packaging furnitures at home was so very slow. And he bent our cot where it's not supposed to be bent - he bent the screws! We did give them tip of 200$ for working non-stop for 7 hours. But it was not what we expected. I will not choose A2B again. read more

We had a fantastic experience with A2B movers! Our rockstar crew was Max and Valeriy. Prior to their arrival, they gave me a call to inform they were on their way. From the moment they greeted me, they instilled confidence that they will handle everything just fine and that my job was to relax and coordinate - something I was so happy to hear after days of intense work packing and getting ready for our move. The guys packed everything with such good care and attention to detail that none of our stuff got damaged. This is something we were particularly worried about because during the previous move, several pieces of our furniture got damaged. They worked very hard and efficiently but always with a smile on their faces! It took longer than expected to load everything - a good lesson learned by us as we underestimated the amount of stuff we had and should have hired at least 3 people, and not 2. Because of this delay, we arrived late to the storage facility and were not allowed to unload. At that point, the level of stress was just overwhelming me. Max and Valeriy were quick to take the situation under control - they called their manager and arranged to park the loaded truck on their parking lot. The next day, at 7am, they were back to the storage facility and unloaded the whole truck in just 2 hours! They had a full day of work after that in a totally different location so the very fact that they committed to finishing the job in such tough circumstances speaks volumes. If I could make it Ten Stars I would! Talk about hard worker! I moved every single piece of furniture in my house from one room to another (up and down stairs if a tri-level house). We changed things around twice. Centered carpets. Moved my great grandmothers cherry bedroom set. Moved my office. Took couches to my brother's house in milpitas and brought back a bed to set up. Rearranged my Christmas boxes in the garage. They were amazing!! Help me clear off a couple of shelves that weren't ready. SO GENTLE WITH MY THINGS. Wrapped things on blankets and plastic to protect the items and the walls. Brought tons of moving things in case i needed boxes etc. I PICKED THEM OUT OF THE BLUE AND THEY EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS!! Rus and his team is very efficient and professional. They arrived on time. All staff wore facial masks during the move. We are a couple moving together from two separate addresses but they handled the extra pickup pretty well. Our TV stand was broke during the move unfortunately, but things happens so the team helped us to get rid of the old one. We also realized that we had two last pieces left on the truck, called Rus who quickly helped us to check and brought them back. If I could 0 stars I would. First I was quoted incorrect price just to have manager try to stick me with a mistake her employee made. Then I get my belongings back and the crew tried to leave without assembling furniture they took apart. I was charge a 6 hours job for less than 5 hours of work. Edited: they asked me to leave a five star Yelp review (of at least five sentences) while holding my credit card, so I didn't feel like I could be honest. Here's my honest review. Pros: they arrived on time and worked late to finish our move. None of our belongings broke. The team worked fast. And were available on the weekend we needed them. Given that the team wasn't correctly briefed on the job, I do think they did the best they could. Cons: our description of the move wasn't passed along to the team, who were then unprepared for the size of the job. While they worked fast, they weren't very organized, to the point that boxes from three rooms were all labeled "kids", and we had to sort out which room (and which floor) they went to. We had to move furniture in almost every room after they left. Masks did not stay on correctly all day, and at least one team member smoked during a break, which then stunk up my belongings. If and when we move again, we will not be calling A2B movers. read more
