I'm not happy about the move. We were quoted for about 3 hours and it was stated it will probably take 4 hours, and they ended up taking almost 8 hours for the move. In addition, the guys kept complaining about how much stuff we had and it felt very disrespectful so they also complained that things wouldn't fit up the stairs when they actually did. They also did not take everything from the old house so I had to make an extra trip myself to try and fit things into my small car. I've had many moving experiences from different companies and these guys are by far the worst experience I've had. read more

This review is long overdue. In June, we bought a home and we were looking for full-service packing and moving, materials included, of our 3 bedroom, 2 bath apartment + garage storage to our new home a few miles away. We had a newborn so we really needed the help and as easy an experience as possible. I was looking for on-site estimates or video estimates and a flat-rate or not-to-exceed quotes. I contacted 7 companies including flash, but also the big names like pure, shamrock, ace, sweet lemon, jay's, etc. Bids came in from $3000-7000. I wasn't looking for the cheapest, but the right mix of value, professionalism and good vibe. Flash was first to respond and looked at all my stuff in-person same day. I liked the guy who came. A lady called me later that day with the quote and kept in touch with me until move day. And... they also just happened to be the cheapest. It honestly worried me a little. But they crushed it. Packed us so fast on day 1, professionally, but without overusing materials. Day 2 was the move. It took 2 trips even though the truck was full-size, but we were still done by the afternoon because the guys are FAST and they brought an extra man. In the end, everything went as well as a move can go. Very few casualties for the amount of stuff moved: 2 broken wine glasses, a few dead small plants that ended up getting put in boxes we didn't discover for a few days, and also... they should tape the remotes to the TV's. They were in boxes we didn't find for days so we had no remotes to operate tvs with. But that's small stuff and for the price and speed, I thought they were excellent and would use them again. read more

I've moved a fair share, and I've come to learned not to cut corners is hiring professional movers. It leaves you less exhausted (if that's possible) and ensures someone who knows how to load things into a truck is taking care of your things. For my most recent move, I shopped around a lot to find movers who were fairly priced, flexible during the complex COVID shelter-in-place situation, and had solid reviews. I spoke with plenty of businesses, and obtained several quotes. I went with Flash Movers for a few reasons. They send a 3 person crew, rather than the norm of 2. Their pricing for the additional manpower was nominally more per hour than a crew of 2, and made a huge difference in their speed and efficiency. Tania in the main office was communicative, flexible, and very nice. She texted and phoned at the right times, and was great about working with me when I had to move our date around. The crew showed up a few minutes early, did a quick walkthrough to get a lay of the land, then got to it! As others mentioned, they were FAST. Not so fast, though, that they were reckless. They took good care of our things and asked clarifying questions as needed. All three of the guys were polite, friendly, and were very professional. All in, they spent about half an hour or so loading up. It would've taken us hours. Unloading at a new to us storage facility, they were patient and collaborative as we sorted what needed to go where in the unit, and what needed to be reloaded into a friend's truck for the short trip to a small on-site storage at our new place. They stacked things carefully, and high (but only when safe to do so) and were really good about letting us configure the space as we needed it to work for us. After they were done and we had already settled up the bill - which came in under the quote from any other business (and they offer a 5% discount for paying cash) they didn't just cut and run. Instead, they noticed our bikes weren't going to fit in the friend's truck, and would require our making another short trip with our bike rack, they offered to bring the bikes to our final destination in their truck. They totally could have been done and left, but they went the extra mile. We'd HIGHLY recommend Flash Movers as our first choice in the Bay Area, and if we move again, they'll be who we call. read more

Flash Movers was absolutely incredible with their service! I had a couch that was too big to fit through my narrow stairwell and tricky door opening, and I was desperate to find some way to be able to keep it. They actually hoisted the couch up and through my second story balcony and into my living room! They covered the couch with blankets, secured everything, and by the brute strength of just three people, had the sofa in my home in less than an hour. Not only that, but they were punctual, communicative, responsive, and had great attitudes. They also quoted me fairly and less than $200 compared to some other movign services. Such a pleasure to work with and I honestly can't recommend them enough - the main piece of my living room wouldn't be here if it wasn't for them! They were generally careful with our items and were flexible in getting as much on the truck as possible. We were moving some furniture and stuff out of the bay area into a second home about 150 miles away. They were fully loaded in less than 3 hours, drove up, unloaded and were done by 5pm. So far as I can tell, everything arrived intact and undamaged other than some tape residue. Overall, the pricing was fair but a little confusing. They worked 9-5, and then needed to drive back home. I expected to pay for 11 hours (9 to 5, plus return trip of 3 more hours) at the rate we discussed to account for the drive back home. However, when I got the total, it was 8 hours + 6 hours drive time, for a total of 14 hours. When I questioned it, they changed their mind and said the extra charge was for gas. Either way, they worked hard, got the job done and were pleasant throughout. And, all tolled, the price was still fair and I would hire them again. read more

I needed someone to move me locally same day and Flash Movers was able to accommodate me at a reasonable time *and* cheaper than other places I had been looking at. The movers showed up a couple minutes early; I had received a text saying they were grabbing lunch and then in almost no time they were there! Omar and his crew of two were great. I just kind of stood there and watched all my stuff magically disappear into their truck. Overall, my studio/1 bdrm + kitchen + tv stuff move took about two hours, including the 30 drive time. They expertly packed everything into my storage unit. There's a minimum payment of three hours worth of time, but even then the price I paid was $500 - far below anything else I'd been quoted. When I requested a quote from them, I got a response very quickly and even better, they provided full details of their service and rates, as opposed to a lot of other movers who asked "how can we help you" or "please call us" even though I provided several important details regarding my move. They arrived 20 minutes early, and they moved everything crazy fast--overall move took about 2 hours with minimal effort from me. They brought their own tape and wrapped up my furniture. We moved to a storage unit and they placed cardboard on the ground for furniture we didn't want dirty. They even helped me with the lock on the door as it was really hard to close. This is a rating for my experience with Joaquin (sorry if I'm misspelling that). My move had some unexpected issues with a separate company I was using to store the furniture. We had to reschedule things on the fly, and move my items into storage a day after the original plan. Joaquin and his team adapted and made it work. Due to the unforeseen rescheduling issues, there was some miscommunication that happened. It wasn't showstopping, and I could have prevented the issue by getting the rescheduling terms in writing. That being said, to avoid any potential disagreement, I'd advise future clients to get any amendments to the original terms in writing. Ugh, this is a weird review to write. Pros: movers were on time, they helped package up our remaining items, and did a long move from the Bay Area to 2.5 hours away all in one day Cons: once their truck was full they just left everything else at our house for us to figure out on our own (we have a 8 month old baby... so moving anything by ourselves gets challenging quickly), they also hit one of our stone pillars at the new house with their truck. Our neighbor saw them to do it while we were still driving in, but they never mentioned it to us. Several stones are broken on the pillar now. There's also some damage in our house as they scuffed the new hardwood floors. They also left some of the items we asked them to assemble, unassembled. It was a grueling day of moving, so I understand the mistakes and dings, but for paying over $2k to move, you'd hope you wouldn't end up having to do repairs and go back for another pickup truck worth of stuff. read more

Flash movers aka they are so fast you will be left to imagine what hit you. All 3 of the beds they moved lost their middle posts. The few that remained were installed with such anger that they collapsed right under. When I called in and asked - they were was no response back. They had seen the house before and they still underestimated the size of the truck needed to do they job and blamed it on us. We had clearly labelled the boxes by room and pasted the labels on the top and all four sides. But they could care less. I clearly saw their chuckles as they were throwing boxes with fragile stuff and clothing right in the yard. I would recommend someone with decent reviews on yelp instead. read more

Best service delivered for the price. This is as good as it can get. Just at looking at the pictures of what needed to be moved they gave me a quote and the amount of time it would take. They were as the name suggests quick and efficient.
