They were flexible when I had to change the date on them at the last minute after my house didn't close on time. I used A2B Moving twice: from house to storage unit, then storage unit to house. Quote: They were prompt at responding but I think they overestimated how long the move would take. They estimated 7.5 hours and in reality, it took 2 hours the first time and 4 hours the 2nd time. But it is better to overestimate than underestimate. I just kind of felt bad for the guys that did the actual moving since they don't get paid for the other hours not worked. Movers: The guys that did the move were great both times! They were fast, efficient, and super nice. Really appreciated their hard work. If I could give ZERO stars I would. IF YOU LIKE YOUR STUFF, DON'T HIRE THIS COMPANY. I had a house of furniture that was bought brand new and never moved until I hired A2B Moving. Nearly every piece of furniture that I can see (some is in storage) has some level of damage - a scratch, nick, scuff, chip, etc. It is as if they only wrapped the furniture in stretch wrap and didn't bother to use moving blankets in the truck. They are very calculated about rushing to get your signature on the day of the move without explaining that they have pre-selected the minimal damage insurance option for you. Despite this, I filed a claim and submitted pictures of everything. After that, they don't respond to my phone calls or emails and try to drag the process out with ridiculous requests. They never paid the claim and simply decided to ignore it. I have procured a lawyer and will shut them down if I have to. BTW: Don't believe the "owner's" responses to the bad reviews. The actual owner is not involved in the business and the responses are outright lies. I should also mention that they ended up charging me 200% more than their bid. I am sooooo glad I hired movers!!! I don't know how my hisband found this compnay but I'm so glad he did!! These guy were done in three hours even with a 45 minute trip to our new place. I love how they don't nickle and dime us over travel time like some of the other moving companies we got quotes from did. And then these guys booked it down the freeway and were right behind us, so they didn't stech the travel time at all either. I just can't believe how fast they moved our stuff. We purchased a dining set that was located 300 miles from home, and looking at options to move it home. After reviewing a number of companies, we felt comfortable with the quote and approach from A2B. The service was impeccable, courteous, and the movers were very friendly. They put down floor protection that was clean! We have seen so many deliveries through the years where that's not the case. They placed the pieces exactly where I wanted them and even tipped the furniture up so I could attach felt pads to protect the hardwood floor. Everything was just as you would hope - clean, professional, on time, considerate of our property, and friendly. We had scheduled a move with a big moving company. They never showed and didnt answer any of the contact numbers we had. Found out they went bankrupt the day before. I called many moving companies they were all booked and to be honest a bit rude when asking for info. Called A2B and spoke with Renee. She was so sympathetic to what we were going through. She was able to shift her scheduling and had movers to our house the next day. When Tayvon and Chris showed up with smiles on their faces, it put our mind at ease. We were so stressed before. I was extremely disappointed with this company. They missed moving an entire closet and didn't move all of our belongings. They just pick and chose what to move. They would have forgotten a boxed tv if I didn't point it out to them. The movers shoved items out of the door and completely gouged it. When I asked them how they planned to fix it they told ME to just 'buy some spackle and paint it'. My family ended up moving things ourselves for five hours after they were done. They damaged SO much furniture! 2 pieces litterally smashed into pieces on the sidewalk and walked over beyond repair and had to pay to have taken to the dump. They didn't use a single blanket in their truck to wrap anything then slid heavy funiture across my newly refinished wood floors leaving deep scratches. When I saw this and asked them to put something under it they still didn't. I was told that I only needed to send photos and a description and the lady I spoke with would file the claim which could take up to 90 days to process. When this date came and went I contacted them again and they said i needed to fill out a form that clearly states on it it has to be filed within 60days of damages! They completly scammed me and were nice as pie on everything up until I contacted them again to follow up. They are not responding to my message requesting to know the status of my claim either. These guys will cost you more money and time then advertised. Also They were late/couldnt find my place but started the clock charging me on time and tacked on 15minutes to the end of the bill as well. They also left all my doors with stuff inside including the garage open at the first house wide open. I came back to find this late that evening. I'm glad I chose A2B Moving last weekend. My move from Bellevue to NE Tacoma was awesome! They showed up 30 minutes early and finished earlier than the estimated quote I received. They even moved extra stuff that wasn't previously mentioned. These (2) guys worked quickly and were very careful with my furniture, etc. and had no problem working with my 2 dogs running around the house. They came prepared with blankets, plastic wrap, boxes, etc for protecting my valuables in transit to their final destination. To be fair, I did a great job at packing/planning everything for the movers so to make things as easy as possible for them to get in and get the job done. I also moved my own TVs, fragile dishes/glasses, glass shelves, lamps, and expensive picture frames. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS! We were expecting 3 movers, but only 2 showed up. Mike was rude, almost belligerent. I was most concerned about my 5yo's bunk bed (it's a huge, heavy walnut with stairs with drawers to the top bunk) and when Mike put it back together he stripped bolts, lost a dozen screws, and even left some bolts out. I called the day after the move to express my concern about the safety of the bed and Mike's attitude, and the owner told me she'd talk to Mike and at the very least find out where the missing parts may have been left. After follow up calls, emails with pictures of the broken bed, over two weeks, I still have not heard back from anyone. I have moved many times and this company is the absolute WORST. My brother did not install the floor: I paid a professional to install the floor. My brother is a carpet installer not a hardwood installer. The reason why I had a new hardwood floor installed was because the New house I was moving to had carpet when I purchased it and I wanted hardwood floors in my new home. I left the house that I was moved to after seeing what the movers had done: they ruined my new hardwood floor so badly that it was a total loss ( this was determined by my homeowners insurance, not me) They tried to shove a new refrigerator through a door that you could clearly see was too big to get through. This left my refrigerator with large scratches; this refrigerator is now in one of my rentals and I had to buy a new refrigerator. I observed the movers doing this and told them "you are going to have to take off the door" I left the new home in distress only after observing the damage that was being done. I then sent my brother and a friend to drive to the house to watch over things for me. I refused to pay the movers after seeing all of the damage until I was able to talk to my attorney the next day, to get advice. I paid when I was given the name of A2B's insurance company. I had close to 50,000 of Thomasville furniture that was moved by your young son and 2 other very young helpers almost every piece had some damage. I have no reason to write a bad review unless my stuff was damaged. It was awful. I am a sick woman and this ruined the joy of moving into a new home. I had to hire an attorney to get your insurance to pay for the weight of the items. You still have not paid your 1000.00 deductible. If I had more time and energy I would have taken you to small claims court. I wish this move had gone well. By the way I saw no felt being used. I did see red felt being used at my new neighbors house when they moved in ( different moving company) and I wished that A2B moving would have been so respectful. As I said, the damage to my perfect furniture "I live alone, my 4 year old furniture was in perfect condition" and to my new home was so devastating to me. I have no reason but to tell the truth about my experience with your company. No vendetta.... I wish that I could have written a wonderful review; the would have been the very best outcome for the both of us. BTW, this is the first time I hired a moving company in my life. Update on this review after reading comments below from A2B moving: My initial review was politely put. Here are all the details. Not disclosing damage up front - the center table was broken. The glass of the table had been taped to the base of the table and so we only discovered the broken piece after the movers had left and we removed the tape and found our table lop sided. The response I got was "at least the glass is not broken". I called the movers within half hour of the move being completed (WHILE THEY WERE STILL IN CA) to tell them about the table and to come repair it but I was told that it wouldn't be possible since they were on their way to another move. I asked if there was anyone in CA that they can arrange for to come fix it - but they couldn't do that either. I tried to work it out since the goal was simply to get it fixed. In addition, the bed was put together very haphazardly and was creaking until we discovered that the hinges on one side were just not there. They had either been lost or misplaced or just not put during the assembly. The bed was disassembled and reassembled by A2B moving & I had a perfectly non-creaking, in one piece bed before this point. Misinformed - we were told the box was in the warehouse and that it would be shipped to us within a week. This was said to us on delivery. Three weeks later I was still trying to reach someone to get some update on the box. The many phone calls and emails were mainly one sided. I received a call back after three weeks of repeated calling/leaving messages with still no info on the box and then another two weeks before I was informed that the box is no where to be found. The dishonesty is not regarding the 0.60/lb coverage, but everything else around this move experience and the slowness, frustration & lack of communication in dealing with a botched up move job. ------------------------ Highly disappointed with this moving service. They lost and broke multiple (some expensive) items and acted in a way that was dishonest by not disclosing the damage done & misinforming us about things. Getting a claim from them for the damages was an extremely frustrating experience with very poor communication over a few months. The first person I spoke with was friendly and helpful. However, someone else called me the next day and said that even though they had confirmed my price in an email, they quoted me incorrectly and had to add an additional $250 to my price, making a bed set move from Marysville to Tacoma cost $550! I asked if she would be willing to discount the price to try to get it closer to the price they confirmed with me and she said no. Updating my first review... I finally did hear back from A2B regarding the charges a month and a half later via an overnight letter to my new home saying they would send my "bill" to collections if I didn't pay it. The owner (Chris) had said I would hear back from his wife (Laurene) the next day when I spoke to him mid-September and I never heard from her, so I assumed they had decided not to overcharge me due to my awful experience. Laurene said she saw my review on here and decided to go through with the charges after all. I called as soon as I got the letter to debate the unusually high charges. She immediately said they made a mistake and we only owed half of the $150 and kept changing her mind about what we were being charged for (at first they charged for the lunch break, then extra time over, then an extra travel charge on top of the hourly rate). We ended up being charged the extra travel time rate. Laurene brought up an old e-mail in which we were discussing the estimate. I had asked her point blank if there was an extra travel charge and she responded in such a convoluted way that I was led to believe there was not one. This company has absolutely no integrity and they will attempt to charge you for whatever they can get out of you. If I hadn't called to debate the charges, they would have charged me double. read more

We moved our considerable load of housegoods (over 10,000 lbs) from the Seattle area to the Palm Springs, CA area in early February, 2013. Our goods were picked up on a Friday and delivered the following Tuesday morning. They gave us a 2-day delivery window (unheard of ) and delivered early on the first of those days. On the loading side, five of them got busy with our 3-story townhouse. They were family members, unerringly polite and very careful with our goods. The loading and packing of our stuff clearly showed their professional experience. They unloaded our goods with 4 of them, including two professionals they locally hired. OUR GOODS WERE NOT RE-SHIPPED AND HANDLED OVER & OVER AS WITH MANY BROKERS and even van lines. Loaded into one truck and off-loaded into our home in CA.. There was NO breakage, including fragile and delicate items. They used many blankets, large bands, shrink wrap etc, whatever was needed to protect our items. IN SUMMARY I WILL SAY THAT CHRIS AND LAURENE HOOD AND THEIR MOVING COMPANY ARE JUST PLAIN GOOD PEOPLE TO DO BUSINESS WITH AND THEY HAVE OUR UNQUALIFIED RECOMMENDATON. TKP read more

However I was pretty disappointed that the estimate I had received was about 200 dollars under-and that was with the yelp discount....that is a lot of money when you just bought a new house! The guys worked hard and I appreciated their efforts, but we did not agree with some decisions that were made that ultimately led to it taking longer. They did a fine job, and much better than we could have done on our own, but again I just was disappointed with the time estimate...because we were running so late we had to start helping move things which really was not what I had anticipated. Recently got A2B moving company to help us with moving few boxes from the palletts on the curb to the apartment. I was very disappointed with the service. Firstly, they arrived an hour late. The appointment was at noon and they showed up at 12:50pm. It was less than an hours work to bring the boxes inside the apartment but they took more than two hours. They were extremely slow. Thirdly, I asked them to put the curtain rods in the living room, they left the job half way through as the hand drilling machine ran out of battery. Apparently, they do not even carry spare drilling machine or batteries?! Just stay away from them. read more

Looking for a great experience in having your home or condo moved? I think I have found the best. A2B Moving was the greatest gift anyone could have received. The three days before Christmas is a very busy time of year and there were tons of things to do. I had no idea that there could be so much stuff in a condo the size of my folks. If it wasn't for the A2B team of extremely courteous and hard working gentlemen lead by Chris, the owner, I don't think we could have survived. I have moved personally three large homes with moving companies. None could hold a candle to the A2B Moving organization. These guys are the best in the business. They were extremely clean and careful with everything. They cushion wrapped hundreds if not thousands of items from china to crystal to collectibles. On the first day while my folks were still in the condo, the A2B team was extremely polite and patient with my father, who suffers from Parkinson's disease and has a bit of dementia as a result. Chris and his employees allowed my father to be involved and in the way without any problem or level of frustration. They had smiles on their faces all the time. They explained and answered every question he asked. These guys have heart and were very caring in how they did their work and how they treated their customer. In essence we had belongings going to five different locations. A2B worked closely with our family to help separate the items going to each and delivered separately the items moving to Mercer Island, Bellevue and Montana as well as set aside the items going to Alaska and Bainbridge Island. A2B Moving was the best moving experience I have ever had in my lifetime. They came 20 minutes earlier this morning, and did a quick quote for me to make sure there won't be any surprise. They set up the protections for the doors, floor and stairs. Not sure why I didn't review these guys when they did our door to door move in April. They were damn good. We did the prep and box packing (got lots of experience) and then these three guys came in and picked up our stuff and delivered it. Three hours to load, 1.5 hours in the road and 4 hours to unload and spot the boxes and furniture. 1. - We were quoted $8,000 by another company (including packing). These guys provided the service for less than $1,500, and we did the packing. 2. They were totally professional. Everything was handled carefully and there was zero damage. 3. They were easy to work with and we could not have been happier with the service. We were very fortunate to find this company among the nationally known and heavily advertised companies in and around Seattle. Very impressed with the way they conducted the move and I not only recommend them but would definitely use them again if the need arises. Good company and good crew. read more

All in all, in fairness, they did what they said they would do. The move was below the estimate because they could not move our huge Diebold safe so they did not charge for that. They were going to try to move us in one day in two trucks but their truck broke down, so it was a 2 day job. We had lots of antiques, so I was told they knew how to wrap them for long time storage. Our move was quite unusual, I am sure. We did pad and wrap most of the fine antiques ahead of time but I did leave my most valuable antiques for them to wrap (I thought). They shrink wrapped my best furniture. When I asked Ryan to remove it because moisture might form under it and hurt the wood, he was very sarcastic and uncooperative about wrapping them differently. They did not bring blankets to wrap them in. The same thing applied to the Oriental carpets. He wanted to bend them and put weight on them and I did not think that was best for them. And that seemed to anger him because I countermanded him. Although, I was paying for his labor either way so what difference was it to him? When they arrived at our storage unit, there were three units to divide them in. By necessity, I needed to supervise because there was a unit that was going to Phoenix and two other units that I wanted some things in front so I could get at them. These units are long term storage. Ryan was an excellent packer, but he was very resistant and unfriendly to my requests of where I wanted things placed. I can say that it was a very unpleasant 4 1/2 hours. Moving is never fun but we were paying for their time, so why did the attitude have to be so petty and unpleasant? Laureen was very pleasant and nice to deal with. I would not say that the workers hustled but perhaps it was the nature of the job. read more

The 2 guys they sent to my place were fantastic! They were in & out of my place in under 15 minutes. They set me up in my new place in less than 20.
