We just did a second local move with A2B and they're awesome. No problems with either the office end or the movers. We'd heard horror stories with so many other movers (pricing games and hidden fees, using people who don't really know how to move and load, etc). Juan O. and his team were fantastic, super friendly, treated our stuff with care, and made it a quick move. Note that they're located in Springfield, VA, and you pay for their mileage for the trip from/back, but the rates were great. I couldn't recommend them more highly! read more

I have no problem with the service or the movers. They have horrible business practices. They billed me for tip and services separately, then a few days later on December 31 I was billed for the whole amount! I have called them 3 times. First I was lied to and told it would be on my next statement. The last two times no one has called me back. What it looks like to me is that they were trying to get their year end numbers up and thought I wouldn't notice. Do not use this company unless you like paying double, being lied to, then ghosted. They came to the house and gave us a binding estimate. The movers showed up on time. They carefully wrapped our furniture and stacked our boxes. They covered our floors with runners to protect them. The unloading went just as smoothly. They told us not to pick up anything, they put everything where we asked and very nicely rearranged it when I changed my mind. They were very polite. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER !!! Don't believe ANY of the 4-5 star reviews ! I used this company to move all my household belongings including one-of-a-kind artwork. I was naive and assumed they were professionals who knew what they were doing. These hacks managed to damage nearly EVERY piece of furniture I own from scratches to gouges to dents....etc. They left a mark on everything. Even some of my artwork is damaged. I don't think they used a single moving blanket to protect my belongings. They take no responsibility for their recklessness and simply stop taking your phone calls. I completed tedious claim forms and submitted them. I never got a response. Hiring a lawyer and putting this company out of business is the only way to stop the misery they spread. I have had some truly terrible moving experiences and I am so thankful a2b was not one of them. We did a zoom meeting around my home to get an accurate estimate for my move. They even pack the day before of you need it like I did, and they didn't even have a single cracked glass or anything. They showed up the next day to load my stuff, went over another estimate for what they thought time would be, which he was only off by 15 minutes. Staff was very respectful, asked questions or if I had certain preferences. When all was said and done they were under the estimate they gave me by $200 and it was by far the best experience I've had hiring movers. My only suggestion, pay by check because the card transaction has a 5% fee by the bank so that added $90 to the total. read more

Cheyenne was great working with me through my move. My Mom passed during my move and me and my brother cleared out her house first. Mom wanted her stuff donated and not just piled up in the landfill. I received confirmation that most of her furniture and boxes full of kids stuff was accepted for donation. (Except bed frames, strange?) For my move, I didn't have anything to donate. Moving can be stressful, especially when it is long distance across states. A2B made my move smooth and the service was excellent. Samantha was able to answer all of my questions prior to booking and was extremely prompt in doing so. Travis was excellent from pickup to delivery. At pickup Travis and Armondo were super efficient and took care with my possessions. It was a tight squeeze with getting my couch out but they found a way. They were also able to take apart my bed and desk to transport them. The load time was less than estimated which was also awesome. At delivery Travis and Shane were again super efficient in getting my boxes in the correct room. They also put my bed and desk back together as it was prior to pickup. Nothing was broken! A2B did a great job moving our home possessions into storage. On the packing day Boss & Samuel were quick to understand our need to segregate goods into short term storage and into long term storage. As we have two additional moves from storage to make later. On moving day Hunter, Armondo and Carlos were able to efficiently load our goods for moving to a storage unit. They segregated the long term goods at the back of the unit. They then put the short term goods at the front with an aisle in the middle for quick access. Our entire process from Ryan doing the bid, through packing, and moving went very well. Communication between bid date and moving date was also done well. We were so far behind schedule, after renting a truck from Budget, that was not road worthy (they said we should call roadside assistance before we left) we made the decision to hire out the move. I had contacted A2B in October thinking we would be moving in November.... but we decided to do it ourselves (Wa to Fl) called them back Monday, December 7th with a SOS - and they came to the rescue!!! Great sales pitch, but worse mover I have used. Movers are not efficient, they just tried to kill hours. I do not recommend. We were moving from a unit to next in the same building. We got referral from one of friend and called A2B. Rose, the customer support lady, she is great, helped with rescheduling and all. She sent an estimator at home, estimator said it's about 3 hours work for 3 guys without truck. Moving day came, 3 guys showed up, I walked through 3 rooms. So they started working and I went to check on other things. When I came back and checked, they moved 1 master bed (without unassembling) and 1 kids ikea bed. They I had to work with them to make them work. I asked one of my friend to come help and We 2 had to make moves work as support. Then we moved 70% of work in last hour. They took 3 hours for 3 guys to move 30% item (which is 2 beds) So, I had to pay 160/hr to move 3 beds and couple boxes for 4.75 hours! If you are moving and need helping had, then this might be good, but they were nowhere near efficient. read more

I had quotes from probably 12 different companies. Which, is a lot! I researched every one of them and A2B had 97% great reviews! (Can't make everyone happy right?!) Anyway, when Ryan came out , I liked that he was honest and upfront about everything. He even advised me about companies asking for money upfront. Never do it! I had quotes from $26k all the way down to $6k(but they wanted 5k upfront! Nope!) So, I chose A2b and I am so glad that I did. They did an amazing job. We had a 3000sqft home with every bit of it full. They got EVERYTHING! done in 2 days. My hubby and I were doubtful that they would get it all, and they really did! Plus, the bill was almost exactly what Ryan quoted us! which is like impossible right? All in all I'm really glad I chose A2B! read more

Unfortunately, the biggest issue with this company is that I did not feel safe, nor did they acknowledge the issues that happened after writing to them about the situation. The start time was between 8:30am-9am, however, they did not arrive until 9:45am. This led to a cascade effect of issues throughout the day unfortunately. I asked kindly if the movers could come earlier because the storage closed at 8pm sharp, and they said no. I explicitly told the owners and the movers several times throughout the day that the storage unit closed at 8pm, but they did not seem to take it seriously. The movers agreed to take a 30 minute lunch because they were late, however, they took a longer one, and left the truck parked in front of our neighbors driveway. We called them to move it so they could get out because he had the keys, however, it took us calling them twice to do this. Our estimate said that a 26' truck and 3 men would do the job, however, the 26' truck did not fit our stuff, nor was 3 men enough. We had to leave behind our sofa and loveseat because they would not fit in the truck. Also, they called in a 4th guy for a few hours and he was also late. Question - the 4th gentlemen had a collar on his ankle. Was it a probation tracker? Please let us know what this was? If it was, this should 100% be revealed ahead of time. I was with the men supervising at the storage unit for them to unload our stuff, emphasizing the importance of completing by 7:55pm as the gate would close at 8pm sharp. The administrative staff left for the day. They did not complete by 8pm and I had to leave them to go outside of the gate to call someone to let them out in an emergency. It was very stressful and I felt very unsafe with the men by myself. I was able to get a hold of the emergency line and one of the property managers had to go back inside to manually unlock the gates to let them back out. When we were completing the contracts I was asked for a tip, however, I feel with all of these issues and stress that A2B Movers should compensate the men out of the very high cost of the services. I wrote them to this effect, but received zero acknowledgment. read more

No! Just no! Awful experience. Please don't use them if you have expensive stuff and do really care about their service quality. Here is my story: I was scheduled for 3 moving crews for unloading at Bellevue area. I have contacted our loading assistant company talking to Rose and Caroline on onloading day and two times prior to my move, continuously asking them to please make sure that there are three crews available. On moving day only two people showed up. I called them right away, and they said they will look into this (Rose). I mentioned my stuff are heavy and hard to be picked up. I do need three people. 20 mins after I called again since I haven't heard back from them. They told me to be patient as they are looking into this. At that exact moment as soon as they start unloading my first item, dining table, it cracked and the legs broke. They tried to rotate it in order to have it over their dully. I have attached pictures. I was only told the only option I have is to wait and see if three moving staff will be available tomorrow. I am not able to do that since my husband and I took today off work and we couldn't leave the trailer over night in our loading area. Very irresponsible moving staff. I talked to Serene who is "titled" as manager. They are claiming that the table was already damaged! Of course.... I have attached before and after images. How can a table be damaged and be able to hold a +50Lbs chair on top of it? My dining table worth $1200 ! Don't go to them... I wish somebody would have told me.... Answer to Laurene: First of all the way you responded to this review, tell everything about your behavior and customer service. It is not your call to define if I need two movers or three. It is my judgment to pick how many. I would really appreciate it that you could only focus on your side of the business. When did I say the table was 4K? Did I mention it here? I did send the table description myself to the claim department. What are you talking about? You weren't even there to make a call to see if the table was damaged or not. Nobody called me for having third person onsite. I called the company three times and I was told we do not have anyone else. How could you really claim something which is not accurate? omg.... Yes, I tipped the driver. You know why? Cause they helped us assemble the bed. Which wasn't part of their job. We requested an internal move for a senior resident. We asked for the estimate and they said $400 initially. I explained it would be less than a hours time and they said this was the minimum charge. But indicated I could talk to the owner and see if we could get the rate reduced. Mind you, we have given them business for years at Farrington Court moving residents in and out. I called the owner to get a more reasonable rate for 45 minutes worth of a move and she did not return my call. These are senior residents on a fixed income. I am giving two stars for the guys who did the move. They called the morning of the move and tried to cancel, reschedule the move and we said no. So they changed the time, they were able to go to Mercer Island that morning and swing by Kent before returning to Auburn that evening. Highly recommend this company. Setting up the move was very easy. Did a virtual walk thru and sent Laureen pictures of our storage units. She sent back a very reasonable bid with excellent explanation of how costs were calculated and how that estimate could change based on weight. Received Excellent email reminders along the way. The crew who came out to do the actual move were very, very good. This was Brandon, Demarius(spelling?), and John. We have no complaints with them whatsoever. The reason for the negative rating is based on the initial estimate done by Ryan Peltier. We have moved a number of times and do understand what a non-binding estimate is, however the estimate Ryan gave my husband was 4 times lower than the actual cost. The estimate was so far from reality it was ridiculous. The crew was surprised when they arrived at the home and saw that the estimated time and effort had been greatly underestimated. This is such an unethical business practice in many ways and does a huge disservice to both your customers and your crew. We will never use your services again and would never recommend you to anyone else based on this unethical practice that your company engages in. read more

If a lead named Tim shows up at your door, refuse to work with him. He blew up when ai explained I was looking for hand soap and asked the crew to use the one bathroom with soap. He yelled at us and when r asked him to stop, he pulled the crew and absconded with our belongings. The previous day I walked into MY own kitchen and found Travis without a mask. He said, "COVID not big deal!" Tell that to the 3000 people who died yesterday!!! I doubt the company reprimanded him. He repeated the same in the truck in Front of he lead for the day. The company has now gone into the review section of my business on google on the same day I posted their reviews and posted a negative review of my business in retaliation. After throwing our belongings into storage (see pictures) NO ONE RETURNED OUR CALLS AND EMAILS...for days! We finally had to retain an attorney. Laurene told our attorney we would have to sign a "liability waver" to have access to our stuff. Our attorney said no way! But it seems even Laurene knew A2B was at fault. read more

I would NOT recommend A2B for cross country moves. We were told our stuff would arrive on May 5th. May 5th rolled around and we hadn't received any updates from the company. We called to check in and was informed it be an additional 10 days before we got our stuff. Then we got a call informing us of another delay, now our things wouldn't come for two weeks. We called to talk about getting a discount and were told we didn't qualify because of the weight of our things. So now, we can be kept waiting as long as they'd like without ever qualifying for compensation and just informed that the driver hadn't even left Washington yet. We've been given a slew of contradicting information and are incredibly frustrated. Find a different company. This has been a nightmare. read more

A2B Moving did a very good job with my move. They were very timely with providing their estimate which came in very competitively. They sent out regular correspondence & reminders prior to my move. The actual movers showed up right on time which anyone who has used a moving company knows is not always the case. These movers seemed to be well prepared with packing material & number of trucks. They were relatively careful with my inventory with minimal damage. They also were willing to move additional items that weren't on my original inventory list. It did take a little longer than projected but I attribute that partly to my adding these additional items. Bottom line, I would recommend using A2B Moving for your moving needs. read more

OK, I've used them 3 times now and I have been very happy each time. As you can tell I have been a repeat customer! They do keep your previous records on file so they can record what they have moved for you. It was very convenient the next time I used their services and needed a quote. The first two times I have moved the move time was much faster than the minimum time of 3 hours. On both occasions the guys asked if they can move or put things together for me so I can get the most of my money. They're always cognizant of the labels on the boxes. If you do mark them as fragile, the guys will take heed of your belongings and treat them with care. They'll even lay protection down on the floors so they don't ruin or dirty it. I really love their attention to detail. I hope I don't have to move again but if I do, I definitely will use their services again!
