I would NOT recommend A2B for cross country moves. We were told our stuff would arrive on May 5th. May 5th rolled around and we hadn't received any updates from the company. We called to check in and was informed it be an additional 10 days before we got our stuff. Then we got a call informing us of another delay, now our things wouldn't come for two weeks. We called to talk about getting a discount and were told we didn't qualify because of the weight of our things. So now, we can be kept waiting as long as they'd like without ever qualifying for compensation and just informed that the driver hadn't even left Washington yet. We've been given a slew of contradicting information and are incredibly frustrated. Find a different company. This has been a nightmare. read more

Need to move a piano? Let's just say that living on the third floor of an apartment, I was not too eager to find out how good of friends are in my list of contacts. My wife and I needed to find a moving company in Seattle or the east side that was willing to help load up a rental truck to move across Washington. Having working in the industry in my past, I also knew how difficult it was to find a moving company with positive reviews. A2B Moving company definitely knows how to earn their stripes. Even though A2B Moving is also a full service moving company, we only needed the physical labor to load our Budget Rental truck. When they showed up exactly as scheduled, we had everything packed and ready to go. The crew of three was courteous, professional, and went well out of its way to communicate the process with us. Everything went perfectly smooth until it was piano moving time. Erring on the side of safety, the moving crew decided that it needed a different appliance dolly and a few more hands so they called in reinforcements that were on another A2B Moving job in Bellevue and took themselves off the clock to allow enough time to move the piano when the backup arrived. Once a full team of five was on site to help with our move, the piano made it all the way downstairs and into the moving truck safely with all of our other belongings. So, despite that little adjustment on the fly and a little bit more time required than anticipated (that was not charged for!), all was FANTASTIC! If I'm ever in the area with my piano again, I'll be sure to give them a call. Highly recommended. read more

Called A2B. Got the booking confirmed. Was told that I needed to provide the estimates by Wednesday/Thursday. Started adding the inventory item on Wednesday and got a call that they cancelled our confirmed booking. Really unprofessional company that can cancel on your move the last minute w/o any prior notice. Not reliable at all. Edit after the owner's comment: No part of my comment was "not correct". I was told that I had until Wednesday/latest Thursday to complete the inventory work. The semantics - "when the booking is confirmed" - is something that should have been explained to the customer in the 1st call. Trying to get business by not sharing information transparently leads to distrust. Hope you can be more clear when you communicate with potential customers. read more

A2B Moving did a very good job with my move. They were very timely with providing their estimate which came in very competitively. They sent out regular correspondence & reminders prior to my move. The actual movers showed up right on time which anyone who has used a moving company knows is not always the case. These movers seemed to be well prepared with packing material & number of trucks. They were relatively careful with my inventory with minimal damage. They also were willing to move additional items that weren't on my original inventory list. It did take a little longer than projected but I attribute that partly to my adding these additional items. Bottom line, I would recommend using A2B Moving for your moving needs. read more

Don't allow them to move your tv's. I specifically asked them the safety of moving the tv's. They said oh we have pads, they will be fine. When I got to New home,, my 40 inch BRAND NEW Samsung flat screen was cracked! When I called them about it, they said, you should have put it in a box. So they sent me a claim form to receive $0.60 per pound which is about $12 for a brand new tv worth $350!! It makes me sick as I had saved up for months to purchase it, I am on fixed income and cannot replace it. Moral of the story is move your tv's yourself. Laurens, I was never told about a "tv box". Not only did they drag out my claim a full year, but when I finally filed a BBB complaint they canceled my refund check for $100 of the $500 they wanted to pay for the damages they caused. Below is my complaint to the BBB and A2Bs response. I really wanted to like these guys but they could have cared less for my items they took no care in moving and for me as a customer. I'm a single working mom and didn't have a year to spend jumping through hoops for them to not make right on the property they destroyed. I have never experienced such poor business ethics or customer service. You will pay more then you think you are saving with these guys in damages and your time. I hired A2B movers to move my things. They advertised that they were fast, insured, experienced & careful. During the move the movers left scratches down guard rails and trim. At my new home they drug furnature directly across the new finish leaving deep scratches. They shattered my coffee table on the sidewalk beyond repair, they broke 3 drawers in my brand new dressors (2 beyond repair and walked over) and unreplacable by individual pieces(I emailed the manufaturer and theyve redone them so wont fit). other furniture was chipped and marked up. I asked them at one point if they could place something under or around some pieces I saw getting scratched up and they said sure but continued without anything. They had a full stack of untouched unfolded blankets in their truck and didn't use a single one of them. When I arrived home towards the end of the move as I had to go pick up my daughter, I noticed big black marks and marks out of the paint on a dressor and said oh no, and the guys commented I could just retouch it and it wasnt a big deal. They were grossly neglegent in their job because they used NO percautions in not causing damage to my things. They also were late and charded me for time before and after they had left. I called the office that day and sent them the requested photos and description of damages within 5 days. When 90 days came and went with no word from them(as they had told me it could take) I contacted them again and they said the proper paper wasnt filed and they needed me to do that they had originally said theyd take care of. I did this. Again 90 days came and went with no contact. I repeatedly emailed and called the company with no return resolution from the claims department. Finally the owner said shed get them to respond. A few weeks later I got a check for $108. but my Damages exceed $500. The owner now refuses to return or acknowledge me emails or phone calls. My move was Sep. 13, 2018 and it has taken me almost a year with no resolution Response from A2B owner The client was sent a letter explaining the details of her claim payment.  The client opted for $.60/lb coverage.  Several of her items were of press board material and were not covered.  The client made statements that A2B movers did not use any protection on her items.  I find this very difficult to believe when all of our trucks are equipped with moving blankets, shrink wrap and equipment to do the moving.  If this were true, that would mean our employees were blatantly trying to damage her items. My house purchase closed unexpectedly early on a Friday. A Friday that was a three weekend. How could I possibly get movers on such short notice without paying an outrageous premium... A2B Moving. That Friday they gave me a perfectly reasonable quote over the phone and said they could have three guys move me on Sunday. Sure enough Sunday morning the big truck rolled up and three very professional movers had me in my new place by the afternoon. SCARY AND DANGEROUS. I moved with this company a few years ago. They were late and unprofessional. A week later I got a text from one of the guys trying to hook up. He had got my number from the paperwork apparently and now had my address. NOT OK. They took my credit card at the time of the move, but their crew couldn't figure out how to make it work with their scanner. So they wrote down my credit card number (surprised that wasn't stolen too, I was pretty upset about it)... and a few days later they had charged the card 4 times and had tied up over $1000 of my money. Called, emailed, tried to sort it out... They couldn't figure it out but they reversed the charges and I mailed a check, which they cashed. Just got a call from a collection agency (again 4 years later!) saying I never paid! It can go on my credit report now, simply because this company can't keep records. STAY AWAY. EDIT: WOW! Love the company response! Maybe because the man knew where I lived and I didn't want him coming after me? I thought that would be obvious. Thanks for showing the community what your community service is like! Instead of apologizing for YOUR system not working (you NEVER did, not once), YOUR system overcharging me $1000, YOUR employees unprofessionalism, and YOUR incompetence at not having record of a check you cashed, you attack me. I need say no more. Edit 1 more time: So I sent the check, apparently A2B never cashed it. The last communication I have with them is an email saying I sent it and please let me know if they didn't receive it. Never heard ANYTHING in the last 4 years. Today I got to pay $80 to a collection agency for 'interest accrued on the account' because A2B sat on this for 4 years. What a wonderful company!! read more

Just completed a move from Oregon to Washington. We used A2B Moving labor to unload a 16' POD and a 15' Uhaul truck. (Yes I waaay underestimated how much I had!). I have never had such a positive experience with a moving company. They were exceptional. The schedulers Rose in particular and also Cheyene were efficient and very pleasant to work with. Rose's sense of humor made things less stressful. The 2 moving labor teams for each truck were polite, professional, considerate and just nice guys. Thanks to Juvie and Gustavo for the great service and extra storage unit stop. Fast and friendly! Today Tim and Henry were AWESOME. Fast, efficient and kind! They struggled with a huge tempered glass table top we had crated but got it in the house safely. They also took our old washer and dryer for a needy family because donation places are shut down due to virus. Great guys. USE AT OWN RISK....I regret that I have to write this but after being told ...."moving is hard" and "call the national office".... I'm beyond frustrated. I understand mistakes but being given the run around is NOT the way to run a business. The estimate for my out of state moved went very smoothly and that's where it ended. The guys packing seemed to do alright until the end of the day when I was informed that no driver was available to load so they (the packers) would be doing the loading the next day..instead of two days later. My nearly new Lexington sectional was simply wrapped in shrinkwrap which tore easily, even though I requested it be wrapped in pads ("that's not how we do it miss"). I have a new fabric bedframe/headboard that I had requested be protected but ("we don't wrap bed frames miss") and when I reminded them that I had already requested I was told.. "That's an office issue" ... (not my job). Whenever I requested anything be protected I was given the excuse that they weren't the usual loaders so they just couldn't help me. After a long, frustrating day I saw my latex mattress stuck into a plastic bag - BOTH of them were suppose to be boxed, but they "forgot" those and would "take care of it at their office". My stuff was stuck in their storage then reloaded onto a moving truck. The unload with National Van Lines was no better but that's not A2B's fault. It just makes the entire experience horrible..completely. I cannot even get someone to credit my account for the items I was wrongly charged for. A2B who quoted and provided ALL the moving supplies refuse to even credit me for items let alone take any responsibility for their actions. read more

I've honestly never used a moving company before so I have nobody to compare them to. I needed someone to help me transport a fridge I purchased from Costco. Costco only does delivery for online purchases and there was no way I could move a 300 plus lb fridge on my own. I called A2B the same day and they met me at Costco within the hour! That alone was impressive. It's nice that they are located in Kent (I was at the Tukwila Costco). The lady I spoke with on the phone was super helpful. The two gentlemen who met me were Jermaine and Howard. They were polite, professional and funny. Anyway, they literally rolled out the red carpet for me. I just wanted my fridge moved from A2B (get it? see what I did there?) but they put the red carpet over my wood floors to avoid scratching it up. They also wrapped the new fridge I purchased up very well before transporting. I would highly recommend them. I don't plan on ever moving, but if I do I will use these guys again and probably request the same gentlemen. They have a YELP deal going on right now. For the price I paid... it was so worth it! I wrote them a check, but they also take credit cards. Don't forget to tip! It's not required but it's a nice gesture. I tipped with cash. These guys work hard!! They were sweating bullets. Ok, I'm a picky person... Usually when I write my reviews companies either get 1 or 5 stars, any rating in-between was just someone doing the basic job that I expected and and those in-betweeners don't deserve my time for either a thumbs up or down... That said, I wish I could give these guys 6 stars. Unfortunately there are many con-men in the moving industry nowadays, to work with a company that has morals & a good work ethic + not trying to screw you over WAS AWESOME. I needed a large storage unit full of household items moved from San Francisco to Seattle, in order make sure everything was done right I made a special trip to San Francisco just to meet them at my unit. I have done many cross country moves on my own or with movers and I know how things need to be done. In the past I sent another moving company away after loading my stuff only to try and charge me more... I expect good service... I used to drive truck so I know what I am getting into. The price that A2B quoted me was very reasonable, they are competitive and they don't screw around with hidden charges like other companies. A2B showed up an hour early, and the guys were professional and friendly and they were cheaper than my renting a UHAUL + FUEL + MY TIME to move my stuff. They protected my items better than I have done when moving on my own, they take extra effort to protect your belongings. I was reading other reviews and noticed that someones main complaint was about these guys being slow - they are by no means slow, they are methodical, professional and are taking the time to do a 5 star job. If you want your stuff just thrown in the back of a truck in an hour with mediocre packaging and protection don't use these guys (call me - I can throw your stuff in a truck for 1/2 the price... no guarantees or refunds on damage though) That said they did an A++++ job on protection & making sure all my items were tagged and accounted for. When they showed up to my house they were on time, methodical and careful - nothing was damaged. And they had every item accounted for, before leaving. They didn't try to tack on any extra charges and were realistic. I would 100% use them again, and if I move again in the next few years they will be getting my business. Only thing I would change... We moved to a new place about 11 miles away. We had moved a lot of small items ahead of time ourselves and hired A2B to move big furnitures, and some boxes. The initial communication with the coordinator was great! When three guys came to move, they seemed pretty professionally, used rubber mats to cover the floor, blankets to cover the furnitures. However, they did a lot of breaks (reasonable breaks are understandable), some are very long, and was moving things in such slow pace. I felt they just wanted to drag the time longer as they charged me by hours. After nine hours since they started, I had to ask them how much longer they would be done. It was not fun. read more

A2B Moving helped move my wife and I from our 2-bedroom, 2nd story, Seattle apartment to a 3-bedroom home in Maple Valley. The two gentlemen arrived 15 minutes late, but were very friendly and polite, and at the beginning of the move worked fast and assured me they'd be done before the quoted time. I was happy with their confidence, but wasn't counting on them finishing early. They were also very good about not letting our cat out of the apartment which was nice. However, after a couple hours they started taking breaks ever 30 minutes or so. My wife and I would often walk into rooms and discover nothing had been moved since an hour before. They ended up taking most of the quoted 7 hours just loading stuff into the truck, then left many of our belongings still in the apartment even though there was more room in the truck. They and my wife left at the same time for the home in Maple Valley, yet they arrived 30 minutes after my wife, we're not sure what took so long. Upon arriving they took several more hours to unload our belongings. All our boxes were labeled and they were repeatedly asked to put the appropriate box in the corresponding room, however they continued to leave labeled boxes in the garage that we have had to deal with and sort. All in, the move took 10 hours, well beyond what I was quoted. They also broke a bookshelf, and dinged and scuffed several other pieces of furniture. We also discovered several dents and holes where they ran furniture into the walls. I chose this company based on their stellar reviews, and I understand they may have had an off day, but based on my experience I can't recommend A2B Moving. read more

My husband and I hired movers for the very first time and we had a great experience. Our crew was polite, friendly and very fast. I couldn't believe that they just wrapped plastic around my dressers and hefted them out, drawers and contents and all. They packed that truck better than a veteran tetris player and managed to get everything in one load. When they were unloading, they took the time to be sure the furniture was put in the proper rooms and didn't complain about the tiny staircase to the master bedroom upstairs. I made an appointment with Laurene to do a walk through and get a quote. She was on time and very professional yet also very personable. I had a reasonable firm price quote in my inbox by the end of the day. I chose to move forward with A2B because of their prices, their prompt response and level of interest. I like it when I get a sense that people actually care about what it is they are doing. The team showed up on time and did a great job. They protected both the house I was moving out of and the one I was moving in to as well as my belongings. They worked quickly but with care. The job ended up taking a bit less time than the original estimate and they only charged me for the time they spent, and I didn't even have to ask. Now that's the kind of integrity I like in a business. It seems to be a rare quality these days. That one simple item tells me all I need to know about A2B. Easy to work with and best price for an ABF ReloCube unloading job. We got a good quote on the phone and several follow up calls (we booked a few weeks in advance). Sure enough, on the right day, two movers met us in Kent at the ABF depot. They brought a truck that was just big enough, which was oddly perfect, as we needed to take the contents of the cube into downtown Seattle. They broke one item, it's true, but it was overloaded dresser from IKEA. It came as a shock to no one, but IKEA items don't get along with dollies. They don't insure/repair particleboard, but hey, I figured a dresser owned is a dresser not needed to be bought from one more long ass IKEA trip. I tried. But everything else was peachy! The guys drove everything up the freeway and made it to the unloading location. They got the items put where we asked and were careful with the floors. No walls were hit, no scratches made. They did say I was one of the most organized moves ever, so some of this was the result of a lot of planning. They only had to unload and unwrap. But, if you need movers to unload a pod, call them! The rates in Washington have to include travel time, so remember this when comparing quotes. They were the cheapest for us, but YMMV. But they did a good job and that's more than half the battle when hiring movers. read more
