Chad diagnosed the issue and discovered that Ford had removed the original switch and never replaced it. He even had us run down to a local junkyard to pick up a working switch, and then installed it for us at no charge so we could enjoy our vacation. Fast forward 15 years, and Chad has serviced all of our cars and trucks, as well as my daughter's vehicles. He's an excellent mechanic, incredibly honest, and someone you can truly trust. I own a 2014 Ford, I have taken my car to the dealership since I've owned the vehicle and have always walked away unsatisfied but felt I had some kind of recourse if something went wrong. Gonna leave it the same but will add that I ended up with AA for 8 total years and it bums me out that I've moved to NYC and will have to find a new mechanic. Chad is probably the best mechanic I've had my entire life. (below is from 2013...) Moved from Walnut Creek to Concord looking for a new mechanic to help with replacing the battery on my Toyota Rav4. The 5-star reviews on Chad and his crew are legit. He fit me into his busy schedule since it was a quick fix. Personally, I think it's rare to find truly genuine caring service these days. Just a quick note to thank the crew at AA Automotive. Took in my 2007 Chevrolet Corvette for the typical oil pressure gauge problem where the gauge stays pegged wide open. I got the car back faster than promised, cheaper than was quoted, and I ran late picking up the car and they waited for me. What the hell? You would think this was the Twilight Zone or something. I met these guys handling an insurance claim on one of my customer's vehicles so I did not know them from Adam. My original meeting with this shop was an indicator these guys were better than average. I have to pay full price, get receipts, and all that good stuff or I can lose my job. No "Favors" or "Good guy" deals. Any shop that is busy enough that an appointment is sometimes necessary speaks for itself. I highly recommend this shop. read more

These folks are the best! My partners family has been going to them for years. When my tacoma had some minor issues pop up they got me in quickly and solved both issues (both errors made by the tire spot and the oil changers I went to within that month). Every single aspect of the service was handled very professionally - from the initial response to my service request to the car pickup. Chad provided the estimate, the price was better compared to several other estimates I got. Scheduled an appointment and everything was done accordingly with an initial estimate, even more! My car had been given a full inspection and I got the printout of recommended services for the car. At the pickup time, Chad went over details on the inspection list, explained all findings, how serious are they, and provided recommendations, but no pushy sales gimmicks!
