got alex number from a colleague as he stated that he takes all his vehicles to the car doctor for all the maintenance needs. I had to get my front brakes replaced and the spark plugs also. I provided the parts and it was agreeable with alex. So i stopped by on a Friday morning and he completed all the requests in less than 1.5 hours as quoted. As I said I had the parts, however the brake kit wasn't what I ordered as they were for the rear brakes and not the front. No worries Alex agreed to obtain the the correct parts and the agreed quote changed but all for the better. Alex did a great job on my car. Will start to take my vehicle here often. I was attempting a repair on my mom's car and came across a stripped nut in an awkward spot to get to. After repeatedly failing to get it, I put it back together and reached out to half a dozen shops and mobile mechanics for the repair with the stripped nut. Our catalytic converter suddenly went out on our 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport which only has a little more than 74,000 miles on it. Had it towed to The Car Doctor and met Alex who told me he had worked on a similar recently and said that if it is the converter, the engine is fully warrantied up to 150,000 miles, no matter what year the car is. Very close to downtown Martinez, so I went for a walk. He called and had found the hole- and offered to fix it, 90 minutes ETA. Went to a late lunch (yay happy hour) and true to his word, car fixed and in a timely manner. No waiting room, but again very close to downtown and coffee shops or outdoor bench's.
