Our small business was charged approx $1400 for 4 locks. Locksmith demanded payment on the spot before he'd leave our business instead of sending an invoice. If you need payment on the spot, you should simply mention so before scheduling service. Turns out one lock didn't need to be changed. There was a toothpick stuck inside. An easy fix is to use a match to burn the toothpick. Instead, locksmith said the entire unit needed to be replaced. This $1400 didn't even include new locks. In one instance he just moved a closet lock to the back door, "to save you some money". Poor customer service. After researching the matter, price for a service that took less than 30 minutes should have cost SIGNIFICANTLY less. Get an estimate before starting any with. Better yet, find a locksmith with a record of excellent service. Not this one. read more

My excellent experience with AA Locksmith began in their shop in 10th St in Clarendon. Was greeted with a smile by Jaclyn, a knowledgeable member of the owner's family who presented different locks and handset. I wanted a smart lock and received good advice on purchase options. When the products were received a few days later, an installation appointment was scheduled for the next morning. A price for the labor was given as was an estimated amount of time to complete the job...about an hour. The next day Alan, the locksmith, arrived promptly at 9am for a 9 to 11 window. He was friendly, knowledgeable, wore a mask, and completed the job in 37 minutes including taking my payment with a mobile credit card reader. He also made two new spare keys in his truck. Called for a quote. Nice receptionist gave me clear simple quote, which BTW was significantly cheaper than Baldinos and Spencer. I made an appointment to rekey 7 locks. He showed up within the appointment time. Very friendly, polite and professional. He not only rekeyed all 7 locks, he also corrected 2 knobs that were installed upside down so they faced the same direction as the deadbolts and also must have greased or cleaned everything up because all my locks and deadbolts work smoother than before.
