Andres responded to our inquiry the next day and was able to show up on a Saturday to get the quick job done. Our door wasn't closing properly, was missing a deadbolt strike plate, and we needed to swap out the deadbolt with a keypad. Andres quickly quoted the service and was able to knock out the job in about 30 minutes. Our door now closes properly, and everything is working great. Andres was efficient, knowledgeable, and on time for the scheduled appointment (no waiting around and no timeline window). I called that morning and he was there at noon (same day service). He's also bilingual (Spanish) for customers who may not be fluent in English. Would absolutely use AMP Nova Services again but I hope I don't have too!! Andres helped with rekeying the door knob and deadbolt keys at my new place. Service was great, locks worked perfectly. Unexpectedly, there was a rare malfunction with the deadbolt a few weeks later. I called Andres and he responded quickly, he came by within 30 minutes and decided to replace both the deadbolt and door knob keys free of charge! Super reliable I would definitely use his service again in the future. 100% recommend! read more

Our door knob failed in the locked position and Andres Matilla helped disengage the latch and replace the door knob with a new Defiant set. I called him late yesterday afternoon and he was willing to come that night but since its quarantine time I said there was no rush and scheduled for him to come to our N Arlington home today. Since the lock failed in the locked position it was keeping our kids from getting into the backyard easily otherwise there'd be zero urgency. He arrived about 30 minutes before our appointment window and went right to work. He replaced the door knob set with a matching set he had in his truck and rekeyed it to match the deadbolt on the door. He also answered a couple questions I had about replacing some other locks. He works very fast and was out the door within 30 minutes with about a $150 check. I should also note that without asking he removed his shoes at our front door to not track anything through the house. Also he wore a mask the entire time he was outside his truck. read more

When you are a clumsy person, you need to make sure you always find the perfect company to help you in a crisis situation and that's exactly what AMP did for me. After I lock myself out of my car and I was desperate because I was about to miss a very important meeting at work, I found AMP! I was really impressed on how quickly he arrived to my location and Andres knew exactly what to do in a matter of minutes while charging the best price compared to other locksmiths I try to contact in the area. Amp, Thank you very much for helping me out today.. you guys are amazing. I never thought I was going to be in the situation of locking myself out of my office. You guys definitely need a 5 ++ review after calling several companies and getting an answer of "ok we will go there to help you but, you need to make a deposit of $50 first " WHAT?? I called Amp and Andres answer was "ok Sr. we will be there in 20 minutes to fix the problem" literally the guy came in 23 minutes!! Well done!! Ps: hopefully I won't be locked out again but, if it happen I have your business card with me!! Thank you so much Andres and amp! read more

Andres was super. Our front door latch stopped working so we sent out a broadcast request for quotes on Yelp. Andres quickly responded and came over shortly after contacting us. After disassembly of the door mechanism, he identified the broken part which unfortunately was not replaceable. He then provided us with a quote for standard replacement. When we agreed, he then went to several outlets to identify an appropriate replacement door system - texting us pictures of options from low to designer for us to choose. Once we decided, he returned with the door handle and immediately installed it in about a 30 minute process. He went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied. Highly recommend Andres. read more

Pros: The guy was on time. Friendly. Professional. Polite. Was in and out in 30 minutes. Cons: Expensive for what was done. Each re-key is $29. So if you have a knob lock and a dead bolt you're at $58 per door. I had two doors, plus one other that had to have new hardware because I didn't have the key for a re-key. $58.50 for handle. 58.50 fir dead bolt. That was with 10% off he provided. Normally $65 each. Total bill for 30 minutes was $241.49. My error: Don't assume pricing. Ask! 3 stars for "pros" i listed. read more

My career began 10+ years ago while working as Sales representative for a Vending machine company in the metro area. While driving numerous hours & restocking I learned to handle all the different kinds of multi-level security locks. I began as a subcontractor for different locksmith companies in order to learn more about the industry. During this time I also learned about the market and all the different ways a locksmith company can serve our community. As a young professional who had a passion for business and the dream of having my own company, this is when it all clicked as I decided to apply all the skills learned at school, & my previous jobs; this is how AMP Nova Services started Getting there wasn't easy I started with a couple small residential contracts from a variety of sources ranging from real estate agents, residential management offices, and with the help of family and friends. It is not a review of National Key & Lock as a company or of any other employee. July 1, 2026 I had a scheduled appointment with a National Key & Lock technician through my American Home Shield/Frontdoor home warranty plan to have rekey service performed on my home. Before the appointment, I received written information from American Home Shield explaining that the rekey service included: * Rekey up to 6 keyholes * Provide 4 identical copies of new keys * Each key will work on each keyhole that has been rekeyed * Test the new keys to ensure functionality Based on that information, I understood that the rekey service included four identical copies of new keys. When the technician arrived, he asked how many doors needed rekey service. I told him there were three and showed him two of the doors, explaining that the third door was located in my basement. The technician then asked for my keys. I went upstairs and brought down my original house keys on a keychain. When I asked why he needed them, he told me he was going to copy them. I explained that I had requested rekey service through my American Home Shield/Frontdoor home warranty plan. The technician then told me I would have to pay $15.00 for each new key. I explained that this did not match the written information I had received from American Home Shield and that I was requesting only the rekey service included in my coverage. To avoid any misunderstanding, I contacted American Home Shield before authorizing any work. During our conversation, the technician stated that this was "between him and me, not them." I requested a callback from American Home Shield so I could verify my coverage before proceeding. Throughout our discussion, I repeatedly explained that I was requesting only the rekey service included in my American Home Shield coverage and was not requesting any additional keys or services. The technician then left my home without performing any work. As he walked toward his vehicle, I asked, "Are you leaving?" At approximately 4:01 p.m., I photographed the technician as he left my property and entered his vehicle. During our entire conversation, my nephew was seated in my dining room and heard the discussion, including the conversation regarding the proposed $15.00 charge for each new key. July 2, 2026 The following day, I received a call from an American Home Shield supervisor. I was informed that the technician had reported completing the rekeying of two of my doors and that the third door could not be rekeyed because there was no key. Based on my personal knowledge, no work was performed on any of my doors, and none of my locks were rekeyed. American Home Shield advised me that another locksmith would be assigned to complete the rekey service at my home. Had I not reviewed the written information provided by American Home Shield before the appointment, I may have believed that I was required to pay an additional $15.00 for each new key. Because I reviewed my coverage beforehand, I understood what my American Home Shield plan stated was included in the rekey service. He stayed and re-keyed all of our locks and took the time to explain our strange, antique front door lock. I had started the job myself but got an anchor screw stuck and figured I should have a pro step in so I didn't wreck my new walls. All the supplies were here, placed where they needed to be, holes were measured and marked for custom made rods and drapes. He charges by the hour and moves very, very slow. He didn't have his own step ladder or anchor screws. In the first hour, he managed to put in 3 screws in holes that had already been marked. He claimed he "needed to remeasure" and that's why it took so long, but he used the holes that I had already marked. He also said it was too hard to do with custom cut rods. He also said it wasn't his fault because I had an anchor screw stuck in the wall already, which was the whole reason I hired him. This is what pros do: they come prepared, know the required materials and techniques, and advise the customer on the best way to proceed. I knew we needed to cut it off when he asked me how to use an anchor screw. He didn't know if you needed to pre-drill or not for a very basic and common anchor. I cannot imagine a professional handyman not knowing that. He used a level to stare at the pre-marked holes for what seemed like an eternity, just eating up time. 3 screws = $200. Seems like a nice enough man, but handyman may not be the profession for him, and that's giving him the benefit of the doubt that he wasn't just trying to take advantage of someone he assumed was too naive too know how long the job should take. He became very defensive, making excuses when I said we'd need to end the job at one hour. Im sure judging by other less than 5 star reviews here (that I really wish I'd have taken the time to read) he will post a very defensive response here as well. Please just don't take a job you don't have the required expertise to complete, and I don't want to hear defensive excuses when I'm still out $200 for almost no work completed.

Something that could have been a real disaster, turned into a pretty pleasant experience. I was out shopping with my daughters. When we returned to the car, I realized I had lost the keys somewhere in the mall! Needless to say, I went into panic mode. Arrived shortly after the call. I met Andres and he was great! Really nice, friendly and talkative! I'm a detailed person and I like to have things explained to me. He didn't mind walking me through everything. I felt comfortable, and was able to trust that he knew what he was doing. Andres was able to make a brand new key for me within 45 minutes! The biggest shocker was the price. I was expecting some crazy amount because I made him rush, but no! It was completely affordable! Thank you guys for your promptly service ! I didn't know what to expect when I called amp Locksmith , you hear all those stories of people getting scam or overcharged. I came into my office early morning to find out my front desk office lock decided not to work anymore ( panic mode on) . Andres showed up very quickly and in a matter of minutes he was in . He explained what he was going to do and gave me an estimate at front . Affordable and quick . I was so happy with his job that I ended up calling him back the next morning to get all my locks Rekey. I don't usually write reviews but after my experience with amp i knew I had to say something :) I was searching for a small local business around my house ( usually the best are small ) I found amp locksmith . Went ahead and place a call , Andres the owner picked up he was very friendly and informative . He showed up next day just how I wanted . Gave me a very reasonable estimate on changing my locks . He was quick , knew all about it . It looks like he's been doing it forever ! In a matter of 45 mins my locks were all changed . I'm very happy how they look how they work . This is the second time I call this guys . Very helpful and knowledgeable, technician showed up to fix the front door lock (very old lock) antique skeleton key . Not a lot people knows how to work on this type of locks. After about 40 mins problem was solved , Second call: I lock myself out my car .... :( called them . Andres was able to provide a flat rate and in a matter of 20 mins technician was there . Open my car very quickly . He was very careful and didn't do any damage to the door . I will never use another locksmith again. I consider myself pretty handy with an automatic screw driver but when I decided to change my front door locks to those automatic (smart ) locks I knew I had to call in a professional otherwise I may have ended up replacing the door too. These guys were highly recommended by a neighbor. Andrés Mantilla came out and literally had my locks installed effortlessly in no time at all. He was friendly, respectful and professional. I called amp locksmith last night after someone tried to break in into the office. Police suggest to change the locks. Apparently one of them was forced open. I call this Guys around 7:30 pm. I thought this is going to take forever. In no time, about 30 mins later the technician arrived an changed the locks. Today I called back for an estimate for a biometric door lock.
