They recommended replacing the battery, charged $150 for it, and wanted another $150 just to install it. I declined the install and later confirmed that replacing the battery did NOT fix the airbag issue, making the recommendation unnecessary. They also suggested the airbag issue might be a recall, which they could have easily verified using my VIN--but it was not a recall. I also asked them to look at a rear leak and was told to pull a drain plug and then referred to a body shop because they didn't know how to fix it. I paid $120 for diagnostics and walked away with no solutions. Unfortunately, this shop has gone downhill over the past few years, declining from a great place to one with weak diagnostics and questionable recommendations. Customers who aren't car‑savvy could easily overspend here. I won't be back.

Our cars run so well (one of them is going on 19 years in 2026! Crazy!), and I know the whole staff at Centerville is always looking out for our family and not upselling every five seconds. And honestly, the turn around has always blown my mind at CSC. This parking lot is ALWAYS full, and our cars are ALWAYS ready on time (We call ahead for appointments. I recommend doing the same).

I had the tires rotated about three weeks ago and the very day after they were rotated I noticed a noise from the front end of the car, it sounded like it was coming from the tires. It was like a rattling type noise.. It only happens when my car hits a certain speed like on the interstate, which, I have to drive multiple times throughout the day. When I had looked up possible causes for this noise one of them was, if the tires had been rotated, but not properly placed back on that, could be the reason. Also, my vehicle has been pulling to the left. So, The technician says that he needs to drive my car to check this out, so I give him the keys thinking he'll drive the car down the road and back and then when he comes back, he'll put it up on the lift inside their garage, and look underneath of it to Make sure that the bolts have been placed properly. Make sure that the tires were properly balanced, and make sure everything was properly aligned. But, that's not what he did, he walks back into the store looks at me and says "so how long has that steering wheel been crooked" I responded "it hasn't been. There's nothing wrong with my steering wheel". Then he says How long has it been pulling to the left? I'm like, since the day after you did the rotation. Then he tells me that the source of the sound has to be the ball bearings, and that I need to take my car to a general mechanic and have them check it out. He Didn't spend one second actually looking at the tires or checking the bolts that hold the tire on. As I mentioned before, I'm on the interstate all throughout the day several days out of the week. If God literally forbidding something goes wrong with this vehicle, it's not just my life! And this is my only vehicle to get to and from my job! And I cannot just keep taking off work and come in there and have somebody dismiss my concerns. So once I got to work, I had to find an automotive repair shop that is open past 5 o'clock so I can go and have my vehicle evaluated for something that even the repair man, over the phone, stated, sounded very much like whoever rotated the tires did not put something on properly or didn't align or balance them. The most troubling issues were the complete lack of communication, accountability, and basic care or consideration for the customer. Your business exists because of the service you provide--services that can easily be completed by many other shops in the Dayton Metro area. This experience made it clear that this establishment prioritizes its bottom line over its customers. Following an oil change, I was informed of a concern that required additional service. I had to call multiple times just to receive follow-up on a recommendation that your service department identified. After finally reaching an agreement, I was told the repair would take approximately 8 hours. We agreed that my vehicle would be dropped off on Tuesday (with Thursday, January 1 being a holiday, which was completely understandable). I dropped my vehicle off early, on Monday evening, ahead of the agreed date. It was also clearly communicated--and confirmed--that if my vehicle was not completed on time, I would be provided transportation for my wife the following week. Tuesday passed. Wednesday passed. Friday passed. By Monday evening at 5:40 p.m., I had still received zero communication. I called the service department and was placed on hold for 18 minutes. When I finally spoke with someone, I was given a series of excuses: the holiday, the mechanic becoming ill, partial work being done over the weekend, and that the job was "about 60% complete." When I asked about the agreed-upon transportation, I was told, "I'm not sure what you want me to do--we're about to close." After reminding the representative that I was told transportation would be provided, I was met with frustration and comments about how long he had been working that day. This response was unacceptable--especially considering I had been awake since 3:30 a.m. for work myself. Eventually, I was provided a vehicle with obvious suspension issues. I did not complain and simply moved forward. The following Tuesday passed with no update at all, despite being told this was an 8-hour job that was already 60% complete over a week earlier. By Wednesday afternoon, still having received no communication, I came in person to inquire. Neither owner was present, and when we went to the service department, my vehicle conveniently was suddenly "ready for pickup." What I expressed then--and what remains my core concern--is this: As a customer, I am not allowed to pay when I feel like it, nor can I be even one cent short on payment. So how is it acceptable for the company to deliver service whenever it feels like it, with no communication, no accountability, and no regard for the customer's time? The answer seems clear: because you can--and because the message being sent is that if a customer doesn't like it, they don't have to return. Unfortunately, that message has been received loud and clear.
