Don't waste your money. I've been a member since 1992 and pay for memberships for myself and both of my children ($171/yr). On 12/22/24 I was traveling from Somerset, KY to State College, PA for Christmas. Outside of Armagh, PA we had a tire blow out. We called AAA at 4:00 PM and requested that they send someone to change it. It was 15 degrees, I'm 73 and that's what I pay AAA for. Even though their Agent Danielle tried repeatedly, no one responded. We were finally told after repeated calls that no one would be coming and it was now our problem. By now it's 8:00 PM, dark and even colder. Luckily we found someone locally who came out and changed the tire within 20 minutes. I will be canceling my membership forever. Update: I was told by the last AAA agent I talked with to submit a request for reimbursement for the $50 I spent to get the tire changed. I did that and now AAA is denying it due to the fact the receipt I was given doesn't meet their requirements. Come on, quit jacking me around. read more

(Note: This happened in Winchester. I assume they are part of the Lexington office). I have been an AAA Plus member for two years. I'm well aware that I am only allowed four calls for service per calendar year and anything over that will incur a charge. I was going to be needing a tow to get my disabled car back home earlier tonight, and I knew this would generate a charge. I called a CSR to confirm the amount since my mechanic would be able to get me an inexpensive tow and I wanted to find out which would be the lowest rate. The AAA rep told me it would be $95. Since my mechanic could only get me a $100 rate I went with AAA. So I arranged the pickup and since the car was going to my house the driver over the phone agreed that I didn't need to wait but I needed to be at my house when he arrived so I could pay. But with still well over an hour before he would be able to arrive he told me the tow charge was $168.77. This of course was not accurate so I asked him to contact his dispatch to confirm the correct amount. He called me back and said the $168.77 was correct. So of course I called AAA. I told the rep the story and how they had quoted me $95. She told me it's actually $95 plus $5 per mile over five miles. This was NOT what the first representative told me. Needless to say I was quite unhappy, and I told them that if this was not fixed I would be taking my business elsewhere. She told me to hold and she would see what she could do. I held for over ten minutes. What they had done (and I had hoped they would do this) is review the original phone call. She admitted the rep gave me the wrong information and "she would be reprimanded". But she said the $168.77 would still stand. So make sure when you deal with AAA if you are with them get info like this from multiple sources in the company because obviously they have reps that are not well trained. And their mistake cost me almost $75. Needless to say this will be my last time dealing with AAA. read more

I feel so bad that I have to write this review as this business has probably helped my family in the past. My dad recently had to call a tow truck driver to check my car and see why it would not start. It was found that the battery was dead. My dad stated that a guy had come from triple AAA to change it as my mom had their card (shows how my family is a member). But two days later, today, at a gas station my car would not start. I had taken my car to a reputable mechanic, Firestone, in the area and they had found that the terminal of the battery was damaged. So did the tow truck guy give a damaged battery to me then? I had called a tow truck driver independently because I am not a member of triple AAA to get me to the mechanic and he stated that the battery was covered under a warranty and to get triple AAA back to come and replace it. HECK NO! With something so severe as starting a car, I would be willing to pay the mechanic to install a brand new battery. Then again, he told me that he just needed to replace the terminal and wire, but I would have paid for a brand new battery. There is no telling the competency level of anyone hired in triple AAAs crew from this experience. I would state to use triple AAA as an option, but if one finds fault, to let a mechanic take it from there no matter the warranty. My dad spent the $200 on the new battery, not me. I just want a fixed car. Edit: Response to comment: Ms. business manager, You state that this location does not deal with roadside assistance. Would you be able to put me through a branch in Lexington that does? Unless I see another branch with address and contact information on Yelp, I am not going to take down this review! read more

They sent a tow truck that damaged my car. They claim to have done an investigation and have "proof" the tow truck did not damage my car, but REFUSE TO SHOW ME ANY PROOF. I' switching to Allstate motor club. I response to me "posting a review of a specific aaa office": I did my research the person that was assigned to the case is associated directly with your office, or at least that's what the emails from her claim address wise. I'm sorry that you don't like my review, but I don't like that AAA won't take responsibility for the damage done to my car by their contractor or do an actual investigation instead of just taking the contractor's word for it. So maybe change your business practices to better serve your clients. read more

Avoid!!!! I haven't done business with them in two years and they recently sent me an "overdue" bill. Mind you they didn't get in contact with me at all throughout the two years. I don't owe them any money. Two years ago I cancelled my ins. and they had to send me a check for the remaining year. Now suddenly I owe them the exact same amount as the check they sent me? Me thinks not. AAA get your act together! ----- When I first signed up with Palomar, Lexington, KY location the guy was great. I switched my car ins and rental insurance over to AAA. But then the guy was always MIA, never there to take my calls. I gave him two more chances this year. I switched my car and home ins to Safeco. The customer service is just as important as the coverage. Btw, I now have better coverage. read more

She is impossible to reach on the phone and does not return her calls. Some people should not be in a position of customer service, she is one of them. Today @ 1:30 my mother's car didn't start. She has been a platinum member for over 20 years, she was told by the representative they would be here in 2 hours and that we would receive a call back from dispatch with their ETA. After 1.5 hours, no call. We called and they said they would arrive at 3:27, 3:35 we call back, and they have no record of the calls... After 5 calls finally Bill in customer service expedited our call. Brandon came out and was was very helpful. However, I'm wondering what in the hell she paid for... this is shit show. I have been a customer with AAA for over 10 years. I used to think that this company was the best thing since sliced bread. Now I have thinking other wise. Every period my rates do up and I have to contact my agent Solina Cole to see why and see if there is anything that can be done. Now Solina will not return my calls or emails. My mother-in-law has had the same issues with Solina. I understand people get busy but customer service is your job!!!. I hate insurance shopping but I will be shopping over the next few weeks and this will probably be the end for AAA with me. read more
