I was scammed on labor charges. The technician was ambiguous on a simple repair and charged for labor not performed.

Terrible customers, techs have been out to fix my whirlpool frig 4 times and have not completed the repair. I have been without a frig/freeze for more than 45 days. When I call to advise them of the issue they do not care and still provide bad attitude and rudeness. Thanks Gail for all your help in getting my Dis-Service scheduled. I call over the weekend and asked for someone to call me about my issue. I have still not heard back from them in the afternoon on the following Monday after my Service call that did not fix any issue. I do not recommend them for service. read more

I don't even know where to begin with this... My husbands aunt and uncle bought a washer and dryer from you guys, gave them to us to use. The dryers motor went out and was in your repair shop for about a week, was told that it would be under warranty if something else happened. About 2 weeks later, the heating element went out. Called up there to see when we can bring it in, told them about the warranty. Brought it back up that Saturday. Monday morning they call my husband told them it was $87 dollars! What about the warranty? Oh it didn't apply to the heating element.... Go up there yesterday to get it. Tried to see why it cost so much, started a fight with my husband and father in law and told them to get out of the store or they were going to call the cops! I am disgusted with how we were treated and will be taking action. read more

After having AAA out to do some plumbing work (faucets etc) and spending almost $1000 I called to have them install a shut off valve. The charge of almost $300 is utterly ridiculous, I guess they are more interested in a one time get the customer for as much as we can than establishing a long time loyal customer who would call them back for any needed repairs. Won't be using them again. On a positive note the technicians? plumbers? whoever did the work were nice I realize they don't set the fees and I doubt they reap the benefits of the customer being overcharged. read more

Absolutely horrible experience with this company!! Took over a month and a half to get my ice machine repaired. After replacing the compressor and multiple followup visits by the repairman, the decision was made to take my machine back to their shop since it still wasn't making ice. I had to call repeatedly to find out what the status was. They never called back when they stated they would and ended up putting in a new $319 control board (without my authorization). Even after speaking to the owner, she pushed it off to someone else who said she would call back. After 1 week, no phone call and I had to call them back. Their solution at that point was to ask me what I wanted. I feel they should have just offered to refund the price of the part that I didn't okay. I'll never use this company again and will tell everyone I know not to use them. read more

Excellent service from our tech Andrew & Jessica in the service department. Andrew came out the day I called and diagnosed the problem. Jessica was on top of helping me with a Samsung warranty issue while I was out of the country. Jessica went above & beyond. I am very pleased and will use again. read more

I have used this business a couple times for appliance parts and they are excellent. The first time they had to order my parts it only took a couple days. The second time they had the parts in stock I picked up the same day. Great place to pick up parts, only wish they had longer hours. read more

Excellent service!! We had a great experience using this company for an electrical issue. We purchased a fixer upper home and discovered some concerning electrical issues. Jeremy came out and we were his last call of the day. This guy worked so hard, the issue was hard to find, but he checked EVERYTHING in the house until he found it. He stayed past normal business hours to ensure our home was safe. I offered for him to come out another day to finish, but he refused and said he wanted to stay and finish what he started - AWESOME! He answered our millions of questions and explained everything he was doing. I am so happy we called this company, such a great experience. I am a very picky person and generally find a reason to complain, but AAA Home Service was perfect, no complaints!! We will be having them back out to do some more work for us. I was very disappointed when I called AAA to service the Air and Furnace in my new condo. They did not have a ladder to get up in the roof to check the air and recommended that I call the company that installed the air conditioner originally because it should be under warranty. They then charged me a $78.50 service charge. I did not have any information about the service fee when I made the appointment. I checked with the company that installed the unit originally and was told that warranties don't transfer with new owners. I called the AAA office to complain and they wouldn't do anything. I can't help but think that if my appliance WAS OUT of warranty, that this company would have been happy to do whatever it took to repair it! In fact, that was not the case, and as such, after multiple attempts to repair the appliance, decided, without telling us, that they were not going to make any additional repairs. They just disappeared! It was only after a week had passed since they had been to our home, that I called to learn that they were done working on it. THEY QUIT! And when pressed as to why, they had no answer other than they didn't want to work on it any longer. No apology - no sorry for all the inconvenience - just "crickets". Worst Experience of my life. Rude, unprofessional, lazy, most miserable experience in a customer service situation I've ever had. Dishonest, never took the appliance apart, never removed the back of the dryer, he left me with a mess, he diagnosed the appliance without even looking at the inside of the dryer. Spent the ENTIRE visit, heavy breathing frustration, said he couldn't "take the dryer down off the top of the washer" because he needed "laborers here" to do that. Why didn't they send laborers when the appointment was scheduled 3 days earlier for a "stackable unit." I refused to sign the invoice for work that he didn't even do, so he could order parts that "we may or may not need" for an appliance he NEVER diagnosed by looking at the innards of the appliance. Sure, let's pay for a diagnostic when he never even took a tool out of his "sack" and chose to complete a diagnostic by listening to a machine? C'mon! Was NOT prepared for the appointment, his favorite word was "can't, can't, can't". I then decided to call and speak with the technician supervisor (Brian) just to find that he was equally worthless, rude, justified his technicians laziness and sports the same "can't do attitude" as John and was actually going to "hang up on me" then deal with the horrific experience. If you do business with Triple A, after reading these reviews, than you deserve to be treated as poorly as I was and clearly as poorly as many of their customers have stated here on Yelp. I will be sure to spread the word to anyone and everyone, Triple A is a Quadruple, NO WAY! read more

I ordered brand new appliances from AAA. I not only had my delivery date changed TWICE, they put off my delivery time on the actual day of delivery. The gentleman that I have been dealing with at the St Charles location was nice and accommodating in the beginning but, then became short and snappy towards the end. I feel I could have received better customer service from another company. The appliances are brand new, so there are no problems with the items just the service. I was not even given a discount for my inconvenience. I will not recommend this company to anyone. I also will find another provider for any future services or purchases. read more

This company knows nothing about customer service. They have disrespectful attitudes, and nickel and dime you for every service. They overlooked a part of a job I ordered, told me everything was repaired, and when I noticed it had not been the way I asked, they charged me for fixing their oversight! AAA Appliance came out a day after I called even though their ad says "Same Day Service" and the call was made at 7:15 a.m. A plumber comes out to cable my basement drain and after $300.50 charge tells me that he will have to call someone else that has a bigger cable and it was going to be another $200 (they didn't charge me anymore) and they might be here later that day. I said it would be that day because of their Same Day Service and sure enough they send another guy. He goes down with his helper and they work for an hour and then say I'll have to call the City of St. Charles because there is a broken pipe. Okay, that's fine but in the course of dealing with this problem I talked to 4 other plumbers and all said they would not have cabled through the basement first but outside since the problem is usually between the cleanout and the street considering I have two trees on both sides of the pipe and the age of the house. The other plumbers all said that they should have been able to cable out enough that I would have water function so I wouldn't have sewage in my basement which I do now. AAA's plumber also told me that I would be able to use my tiolet even though it had been raining substantially the day all this was going on and the ground was saturated. I have used this company several times before for appliance repair and have never had a problem and the techs have always been great. Today I spoke to the company owner today and ended up hanging up on him because he wouldn't let me speak unless I raised my voice to be heard. He argued that he could find 5 plumbers that would do the same thing his employee did and when I ask him to give me some of those plumber's names he started arguing with me that if there's a broken pipe it's a broken pipe. True but if other plumbers state that the problem was made worse by going through the basement drain instead of the outside cleanout. Apparently this man does not like people telling him that things might have been done differently. read more

While a repair scheduled for my fridge went well, the attempt to schedule a plumbing repair revealed some concerning incompetence. The fridge technician, if you will, said he'd schedule the plumber for me, took my info, made the call. Despite some specifics shared -- that I couldn't be home or answer my phone due to work but could guarantee an adult would be here to let the plumber in -- AAA's apparently incompetent receptionist/scheduler didn't take notes and they still tried to call me to confirm when I'd already said I couldn't answer and then never showed up, wasting the time of a family member who'd graciously offered to be at my house to facilitate a timely repair. The person I spoke to in an attempt at resolution was rude and would only reschedule -- not patiently hear the complaint and concern or offer any sort of incentive for me to give AAA my business. The combined incompetence of all involved in this failed attempt at giving this company my business is impressive. I won't use them again unless required for warranty-covered issues; if it's my dollar, it's going to someone who can communicate like an adult. read more
