Long-time AAA member. Used this East Thomas shop multiple times no problems before. Dropped off my daughter's car for a basic A/C check. They recommended replacing a sensor. I asked if it was guaranteed to fix the problem they couldn't give me any guarantee. So I declined and decided to have a family person who knows cars look at it instead. Told Von Hall I just wanted to pick up the vehicle. He got extra sassy dismissive, sarcastic, irritated, then straight-up walked away while I was talking. Disrespectful and completely unprofessional. This shop has treated me very well through a very challenging blown engine evolution. First trying to limit the work by doing just enough to complete the diagnosis. And then through two bad out of the box engines from the manufacturer! I trust their work despite the way this has drawn out through no fault of their own. Very courteous and professional communication updates throughout from Scott and Vaughn. Excellent cooperation on logistics despite not getting the same from the manufacturer. The verdict isn't yet as the engine should arrive within the next two days and be installed. But I would definitely bring my vehicles back to this shop for future issues. read more

AAA towed my car to this repair shop. I was charged $180 for diagnostics which would NOT be applied to any fixes. Was told it was my transmission and new one was ~$6000. Had the car towed to another repair shop and found it was not the transmission but the catalytic converter. Called the manager Scott, who said there were no codes generated from the diagnostics and mechanic did not really do any other diagnostics. After I complained they returned my $180. I do not know if this was driven by greed or incompetence, but BEWARE! read more

AAA Auto located at 3638 E Thomas has failed in many ways to satisfy my customer needs. Not only did they misdiagnose my cars issues, they also refused to issue out a refund. AAA trains their tow truck drivers to convince you to get your car worked on at a AAA shop. They then charge you outrageous prices and fail to diagnose what is actually wrong with your vehicle. The site supervisor was difficult and unwilling to understand what my issues were with their service. I can't even imagine how to display how disappointed I am with AAA. read more

This place is incredibly dishonest! My check engine light was after my catalytic converter was stolen. I needed to smog it, and I knew it wouldn't pass with the check engine light on. I took my car in and they said I would have to replace both converters (the other was brand new, it has been stolen a few weeks prior and I replaced it), plus a bunch of other stuff. They said it needed special more expensive converters since my car was bought in California. It's been registered in AZ for years. The estimate was thousands of dollars, more than my car is worth. The guys even said the mechanic suggested replacing additional parts, but he thought that was unnecessary (probably a sales tactic to build trust.) I ended up taking it to a muffler shop and they replaced just the converter for about $300. It passed smog fine and the cars been running great! Total scam in my opinion! read more

I was traveling from out of town and a warning light telling me to add oil immediately appeared on my dash. Drove into AAA they took my car back immediately, added a quart of oil and I was back in my car in 10 minutes! Super nice folks and they got me back on the road in minutes! Couldn't ask for better service! read more

Scheduled a 8:00 am appointment. When I arrived promptly at 8 and talked w/the representative he advised that I should not wait for the work to be completed because he coukd not guaranty that the work could be accomplished that day. When I asked why and noted that I made an appointment he said that the "appointment" only guaranteed a place on the wait list to get into a service bay sometime that day. I have never heard of such a policy. I will not be going back. read more

They are very friendly and responsive. However, be prepared to overpay and get suggestions to replace everything they possibly can on your car. I would avoid this place unless you could care less about costs and just want a good customer service experience. read more

Keith helped me out and was great. Thought I might of had an issue with my brake pads. Instead of charging me for brake pads I didn't need they inspected and let me know everything was in good condition. Very honest shop, they could have charged me for pads and I wouldn't have known the difference. Got an oil change as well, great price. Will be back read more
