It has been over a month and I spoke with her 2 weeks ago to check and she said it would take at least 3 weeks but it has been more than 3 weeks. She offered me a credit card but i guess forgot to process my renewal. my birthday is coming up on the 26th and because she didnt process my license i am unable to drive to work, unfortunately I wont get paid if Idont go to work. Waited five hours in my truck for roadside assistance (as they told me I had to be there and my original pickup time was 2.5 hours from my request, which I waited) for a flat tire. After 3 hours went by I called three times each time being promised someone from dispatch would reach out within minutes, never happened. After that it says on my app I don't have any open request so I call once again, this time they tell me it was reported that my truck was towed at 340pm an hour and forty minutes after my claim was submitted, seeing as how I was in it from 2-7 that was impossible. Called it quits after the five hours of being jerked around and now allegedly I'm a priority pickup and no longer have to be there so we'll see how this goes. My husband and I had a terrific experience in 2010 with AAA Saugus travel agency so we used them again this past Oct 2022 but the experience was not at all the same. We sat with the agent for over an hour taking time off work on a Wednesday with Agent "A" who seemed knowledgeable and honest saying they are busy but she could put together our 2 week vacation by the following Monday. Monday came and went so my husband sent an email. After no response for 2 weeks, I called and left voicemail. By the 3rd week I left a voicemail saying we're getting worried and instead of calling me back she only emailed my husband saying she has pricing for the rental car. My husband emailed back saying we cannot commit to that until we first have the hotels secured that she quoted to us when we saw her in person. No response. Meanwhile, we'd already put in for vacation time at work for specific weeks in October but we had nothing set up yet and getting worried. I left a stern voicemail (she never seems to pick up the phone) saying if she's just too busy to help us to just let us know and we will just plan it ourselves. She then emails my husband- again never contacts me at all- says they were busy helping people with many flight cancellations. Finally she sends us an itinerary but one of the Vegas hotels we wanted was now $1000/ night instead of $200 ( because she waited weeks to book it and all the prices went up). We chose a cheaper alternative instead. And one of the hotels in CA we chose because of its on site spa facility - which was actually closed when we arrived- a fact that she should have known if she had done her due diligence. The kicker- my husband called her to come down to put the payment on his credit card in person rather than over the phone. It should have only taken a few minutes. Instead he was there for over an hour- more time he had to take off from work. Ms A didn't have any of the hotel itinerary that she emailed to us set in stone and my husband had to sit there while she recreated the itinerary all over again. He almost left. When he got home, I told him at that point I would have been so angry that I would have left and we could have booked everything ourselves via Expedia. Back in 2010, they created an itinerary which we reviewed with them once and approved so when we came in to pay, it only took a few minutes. They didn't make us sit and go over all of it from scratch again. I think that agent A was unprepared, put us on the back burner and didn't have the professionalism to admit to us that she was swamped and couldn't handle taking us on. They shouldn't take on more clients if they can't devote t he time necessary to provide quality service. This location is only good for License renewal and passport pics. Don't bother using their travel agency- it doesn't really save you any money and definitely will waste your time. read more

Saugus employees were to busy playing with their phones and making customers sit waiting to be helped. 5 women we're playing on their phones and only 1 lady was actually waiting on a customer. I was told to sit and wait or I could make an appointment. I asked one lady , and she told me she had already been waiting 20 minutes ! It was a slow rainy day so I made an appointment rather than sit there for a half hour or more. When I got home I decided to do my business on line , it took less than a minute so a few days later I stopped in and canceled my appointment and again only 2 ladies out of the five I saw that day we're waiting on customers as the other 3 played with their cell phones. I guess their boss doesn't pay attention. They should all be terminated or told to leave their cell phones home during business hours. Saugus AAA is a terrible run business. I hope other AAA offices are run better. read more

My husband and I had the most remarkable service at AAA in Saugus MA. We were in to renew my husbands license. Pamie handled the paperwork to review it to get ready for the RMV line. We had an issue with the paperwork and she was so helpful. Because of her patience we were able to get the necessary paperwork and move on to get his license. I have a 2004 Toyota Camry Solara. After finding out my basic car insurance policy covers only one tow a year, I decided to join AAA. Best decision I ever made. Customer Service was friendly, and answered any questions I had. I needed a tow the day before my mid-level coverage went into effect. There is a 7 day waiting period. The Basic level only allows 3 free miles. My car was towed 5 miles. I should have paid for the extra 2 miles. The supervisor at AAA towing service waived any charges. I now get 100 free miles. I needed AAA help since then. Customer service was prompt and cordial and got me the assistance I needed. I highly recommend AAA in Saugus, MA. read more

Great experiences @ AAA except for one woman who "greets" folks; she is not nice (I'll leave it at that)! Once my daughter visited the office and had a terrible experience; when she told me about the person who was "mean" to her I knew exactly who she meant! License renewals, movie tickets, maps are great. One of the women who works there (I think her name's Christine) has made reservations for me several times for car rentals in TX & NC. Please don't EVER use Silvana Comeau as a travel agent! I called and spoke with her March 19th about booking a trip to Italy the end of May-early June and then sent a confirmatory email with details about the booking the same day. Hearing nothing more for a month and sending a few emails, most of which replied with an out of the office until a certain date she did get back to me stating she had received all my emails and information. Again another month goes by and I after several attempts by email and phone to reach her to no avail I had my husband call and I finally get an email back, 23 days before the trip that she has done NOTHING and won't be able to help me and good luck with things with a suggestion I try booking tours on Viator. I wish AAA Northeast had a yelp page. I have roadside assistance and I called for the Battery Service wanting to purchase a new battery. They sent a AAA fleet vehicle out. That battery was rusted in there real good but Ashley the girl that came out to assist me worked diligently to get it out. I thought I needed a new cable but she cleaned it up nice and even replaced the terminal that was so rusted that it cracked. 4 hours labor to do that battery. Free installation so I lucked out on that labor. Glad I went with AAA for my battery. My father wanted me to buy it elsewhere and pay someone to put it in for me and replace that cable. 4 hours of labor would have been quite expensive. read more

Silvana is EXTREMELY rude, unhelpful, unprofessional, and frankly should not work in customer service. We used AAA to book our honeymoon. Silvana spelled my name wrong despite having it correctly (from me) in writing. She is now telling me "don't worry the TSA people won't notice." This is my HONEYMOON and my name is spelled incorrectly so that I am not listed on board for my flight and she is not helping although it is her mistake. Needed to get my driver's license renewed and dreaded it. Realized I could take care of this at the AAA branch and it was ridiculously simple. Walked in, waited about 2 minutes, was done in 5 and everyone was friendly and helpful. While I was waiting I even bought a few movie tickets which sweetened the experience. Oh and all of this was in the last 20 minutes the branch was open. The best thing we ever did for ourselves and our car was joining AAA. Over the past 2 weeks I have called them to have my poor car towed and both times the service was fast, practically free and tremendously friendly. AAA has also gotten us discounts on hotels, movie tickets, Six Flags tickets and of course Trip Tics. Not to mention it's very, very inexpensive to join AND it works even if you're riding in someone else's car. read more

Everyone knows about the car towing and trip tix from AAA. But, in case you didn't know, they also offer loans and insurance. I just got my third car loan from them. For used car loans, they are the best. They make is so easy, and they have the best rates. If you go to the Saugus office for a car loan, you will end up working with Steve. Normally I absolutely hate going to the RMV, but this one is wonderful. The atmosphere is much more friendly and inviting. The workers are polite and really listen to your questions or concerns. You don't feel like just a number. I went to get my registration renewed, and they made it as painless as possible. I was in and out within roughly 10 minutes. Now granted it was early Friday morning. If you have AAA I recommend going to this location. read more
