They were open on April fools/Easter Sunday! The advisor was super friendly and extremely helpful. Everyone was nice and fast! I could tell they were working really hard to accommodate all the customers there. At the time there was only 3 people working but they still finished a completely booked day on time! We original came because of the yelp coupon but I didn't read the fine print. We had '95 and older cars that needed the smog and so we knew the smog would take a little longer. We were happy with the service and kindness and left satisfied. Be sure to know that they do charge for retests and the discount is for newer cars! read more

They're just so damned nice, and HELPFUL, u actually feel GUILTY for even considering NOT writing a review! They EARN it! A fam friend gifted an old Kia to my son, and, after changin tha batt, oil, n plugs, the ECU had been wiped, so it wasn't ready to test. Manager took the time to explain how the ECU stores data, and how I needed to drivit about 60mi, and return 4a free retest. Bingo! She passed w/flyin colors! Just take yur rig there, n thankmē later! I have been taking my vehicles here for years. They've always done a good job, and go the extra mile to make things are right. Recently, my Jeep was in a minor accident, and the insurance company totaled it. It was a simple repair, but I had to get new tags and inspections and??? The awesome people at Smog and Tags walked me through the process, smogged the jeep, took care of paperwork, sent me to DMV for a quick VIN check, and then gave me new plates and boom.. done, easy. I was Thrilled to pay their meager fee for making this easy. Great people, reasonable prices and just awesome. read more

Here, everyone is keeping each other and the clientele safe and following social distancing procedures. That's impt to me, and perhaps it's impt to you! * great staff -- they know their stuff and are well staffed. Short to no lines, easy going, and fun folks. * comprehensive service -- I purchased a car out of state and they educated me on the title and registration process. It's complicated working with or through the DMV right now because of Covid, but they made it super simple and straightforward for me. I really appreciated that. I have a 2004 Nissan Maxima and needed to renew my registration and get a STAR smog check. I found this place near my home and I will never go to another smog place again! They have low prices and are open on the weekends AND holidays. The staff was very nice, knowledgeable, and they were FAST!! I was barely there for 10 minutes! I also had a toll road violation that was preventing me from registering my car online with the DMV, but they were able to look it up and help me take care of it while registering my car; saving me that awful trip to the DMV! So in about 10 minutes I got my car smogged, registered, and left with a new tag. Excellent place, low prices, great staff, fast service! This is your one stop smog/registration service. She got it done! I was having a lot of issues finalizing a title transfer and getting current registration on a dirt bike. After getting nowhere with the DMV Virtual Assistant I came in hoping to get some kind of information. Not only did I get the information but she was also able to finalize everything, hand me a green sticker and tell me my title should come in the mail in a couple weeks. I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out and how fast she was able to get everything done. The final piece of a year long project is finally over thanks to her! Open on Sunday's?? Yes, they are!! I work late on weekdays so this is definitely very convenient for my schedule... We're off to a good start. :) My first time coming here to get my car smogged. When I walked inside (as everyone mentioned already in other reviews, you notice right away some pretty awesome murals on their walls) I was attended immediately! I realized before walking over to the counter for assistance, I had forgotten my smog notice... ugh! Well that wasn't an issue at all. All they needed was my license plate number and they were able to get me going! How great is that?? Anyway, I gave the smog guy my keys and he said it was gonna take about 10-15 mins for my smog test. Before I know it, he comes out, gives the results to the guy I pay the certificate to and he said "You passed beautifully!" And with so much relief, I paid the man, he gave me my certificate and I left a very happy, new customer! My first and definitely not my last time I will be going here for future smog tests! When I needed a notary in Santee on super short notice, a colleague of mine recommended Smogs N Tags. I was a bit thrown off by the name of the business, but after doing a brief search on their website I saw the offered notary public services so I headed straight over, nervous I was going to have to wait in a long line of some sort. Fast, friendly and priced well! Randomly discovered while on Yelp and decided upon this Smog station based on its reviews and how close it was. Great service from start to finish. From leaving my truck, walking in for a smog, tag renewal, and getting back and starting my truck, it was a total of just under 30 mins on a Saturday morning. The customer service was phenomenal, especially in the smog business. I've been to smog stations that took close to 1 hour plus needed a trip to DMV. smog was $65 for a light truck, and the tags for CA, but for how quick everything was done it was well worth it. Can't say it enough that the front desk at both the smog and registration desk was incredible. Highly recommend even if it's out of you way!
