I take my car here every time it needs a smog. When they're not busy you can be in and out within 10 minutes. One time there was a mix up and I had to wait forever because they forgot about me. They gave $10 off my bill to make up for their mistake. Friendly employees. They also have a fax machine if you ever need one... (random I know). I don't remember how much they charge but I remember it being cheaper than UPS and FedEx. read more

I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. Awesome! Guys were friendly and the shop was easy to find (same parking lot as All Star Cards and Emmas). Printed out the coupon on their website and was out the door for $41.75. $10 more without the coupon. Couldn't have been easier and I will definitely take my car here anytime I need a smog certificate. read more

I've never had to smog a vehicle before and needed it completed on a Saturday, I randomly picked this shop because they fit that need. Matt, the Store Manager, helped tell us what we needed to do and timeline to upload info to the DMV. We also took care of our tags at the same time. He made it SO easy. We had a minimal wait. We interacted with 3 people total and they were all friendly and professional. The shop is also really cool inside, the wall mural is beautiful and they had relaxing music playing. I was really impressed! I have another vehicle due for smog in a couple months and I'll be coming back here. Wouldn't hesitate recommending them to others. read more

Fast Service, Fair Price and best of all..Great Customer Service! I initially took my brother's car here over the summer since he was out of town, and needed a smog ASAP. I found their Ad and noticed they were open Sunday's, so I immediately contacted them and was told that they would be able to accommodate me the same day. I drove East County just to get the car smogged. Once I was there, I was greeted and they worked on the car and within 15 min it was done. I've taken my car just a few days ago for Star Certified Smog, and again same great service with a quick turnaround time. The shop is family owned, and the couple that own it are very nice...as if I'd known them a long time. I highly recommend AAA Smog Center for their Fast, Friendly and Fantastic services! This was my 2nd time coming here. When I called for a price for a smog, I was quoted $50.00 including certificate. Wow! The guy even told me he could get it done that afternoon. When I got there, they took the car right away, all was good until I was told the total of the bill. Had to pay $65.00 and NOT the $50.00 I was quoted over the phone. I even mentioned that to the guy, but he didn't seem to care at all. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, to NOT honor what they quote! Also had one of their business cards as proof as a return customer, and was told I'd get $10.00 off, which didn't happen either. read more

Okay so just a few days ago a police officer pulled up behind me and I'm thinking to myself, is he going to have mercy on me because I don't have my tags current, they expired in August and it's close to the end of September; he followed me a bit, that was a warning sign! I need to get my car smogged. I came to this shop 2 years ago and I was so impressed with the greeting I received and the prompt Service, i decided to come back. Well today an older indian lady, sweet as pie, greeted me so nicely and warm, I didn't want to leave. We had a small conversation and i was out in about 15 minutes. This place is ahh mazing. They're all beautiful people here, cant wait to come back. P.s. they're open Sundays and have other services. read more

Very disappointed in the owner of this place. Came to get our Motorhome smogged as repeat customers and the office staff was super friendly and helpful. However when they were done with the smog we noticed there were dark greasy footprints on the carpet near our engine compartment in the front of our coach. We notified the staff who was very understanding and called the owner who said to give us a $25 discount and call the next day so they could arrange cleaning the carpet. Upon calling the next day to speak with the owner, he stated he would not clean it and would have to recharge us the discount if he was going to clean it. He said it is our fault for not putting something on the carpet when taking it to an auto shop. In my many years of experience taking vehicles to auto shops, they always put plastic or paper down to protect the carpets, but not this place! I am appalled by the way they handled this and will not return nor recommend this place that I previously loved, before this interaction with the owner! read more

I was lucky enough to show up when there were no other customers, so we got our car in for a smog check super quick. The person who helped us was friendly and efficient and got our car in and out in under 30 minutes. The price was reasonable too. There's a very small waiting room, but it was air conditioned, which is important when you're having work done in Santee on 100+ degree days. Zero complaints! read more

Went on a Saturday in Oct of 2021 with no appointment to get my 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 340K miles smogged. They got it done in about 45 minutes, and since I have just bought the vehicle, I had them do a title transfer as well. These guys were the most polite, professional, and knowledgeable people I have encountered in a long time. I really had much lower expectations, but was pleasantly surprised. And the prices for their services were quite reasonable, given how much hassle and time it saves if you do it yourself. read more
