I called every used tire shop in Union Co. where I live for the best price on a complete set of 4 for my 2007 Tacoma. $50-$60 per tire, mounted and balanced was the average depending not just on tread wear but the brand and it's original price and tread wear warranty therefore prices can greatly vary. Not one could give me an"out the door" price until the tires were selected. Not so with Used Tires Express. They sell every brand of tire no matter the original tread warranty for a flat rate of $44 "out the door." I purchased four tires with about 60% tread remaining (2 Toyo 2 Firestone) for a grand total of $176 with a 30 day warranty. I came here after reading the reviews and seeing that this was the nearest tire place to where I was staying. I had a nail in the tire and was worried that I had to get a used tire- instead I was able to get the tire plugged. Once I walked in, I was greeted by a very nice young lady that asked me what was wrong with my tires. After I told her, a gentleman came out and took my car to the back to remove the nail and put air in the rest of my tires. Since I came here on the weekday, I was literally in and out. I was probably here no less than 15-20 minutes. Overall, great place- HIGHLY RECOMMEND coming here if you have a problem with your tires. I took my car in to get front tire plugged being that the tire was fairly new. When I left the shop I saw that the low tire pressure light was on and it usually takes a few minutes to update. Took it to my mechanic who told me that Used Tire Express broke the sensor. When I went back to them to see if they would resolve the problem, they said it wasn't there fault because they did not remove the tire ( when I clearly seen them remove the tire and take it to the back.) They told me they were not responsible and would do nothing about it. I told the manager (who wasn't friendly or helpful) to expect a nice review from me, and he said that don't affect them anyways. I will never go back to them hackjobs. read more

The owner is very professional, Fast service and the team is very attending. I really recommend this place!

I have been going here for about 5 years and I am always happy with the service and the tires. I always call ahead to make sure they have the size I need. I just like to remind people that this is a used tires shop make sure you inspect the tires they select for you (they always show you before the put them on) and make sure the tread is decent. The worse experience ever, arrived looking for Two used tires, for my Honda Accord, the employee who initially attended me, was supposed to be looking for the size tires on my vehicles size except he was walking around the store for at while not looking for tires, another person approached me who later turned out to be the owners daughter, asked me for what I needed then I informed her that the men walking around was supposed to be looking for used tires for my vehicle, then she told me that she will show me the tires they have, she then called me to the side and showed me two tires on my vehicles size, one Brand Michelin and the other was continental which is the brand my vehicle uses, the continental was in a good condition and the Michelin was worn out but still aceptable, they replaced the tires, Later the male employee came to me telling me that my tires was supposed to be more expensive than the price listed on the board, they showed me a list with the tires sizes that are supposed to be more expensive and my tire size was not on that list, I'm usually charged $35 or $40 for my used tires else where, they wanted to charge me $45 plus tax, when I showed them that my tire size was not in their list of expensive tires the men told me I'll charge you regular price this time but the next time know they cost more, he knew my tires were not on the list so he didn't even look to verify, the owner daughter charged me and then they took a very long time to bring my vehicle, to shorten the story. When I noticed the tires on my car we're not the same that they showed me, they were worn out worse that the ones that I was replacing and dirty as if they took it from the trash, they are scammers I'll never go there again And hope you readers don't have to either. read more

Always had good experience until today went back to have a new tire put on. I purchased the previous day. I also advised the young man that there was a nail in another tire that needed to be plugged. The you man started on my car and when another customer walked up and told him he was in a hurry stopped walk off. When he returned I advised him I was on my lunch and didn't have much time he basically blew me off. I continued to wait while he put my new tire on. When he finished he let my Jeep drop hard gave me my keys without doing the plug. I could tell he had an attitude so I went to the desk to talk the young woman. I told about him dropping the car hard and not doing the plug. I walked outside and the young man made a comment it come down how come down which let me know he did it intentionally. Then started smarting off at the mouth. I chose to leave at that point because I don't react well to disrespect and rudeness. I did not trust him with my car any further. Sadly I will not go back. I really liked the place and service is great. Sad how one employee can ruin it. read more

Went to Firestone and they couldn't get to us today. Remembered a friend telling me about Used Tire Express. Went and got 4 tires for $200 less than my son would have paid at Firestone. They were friendly, helpful and had us in and out in under 30 minutes! Used Tire Express on Old Lawyers Road is great! read more

Do NOT buy tires here!!! I got 3 tires, drove the car home where it sat for 4 days while I was away. One of the tires was almost flat when I got back. no problem, right... there's a 30 day warranty?? Umm no!! I was told that they don't cover "road hazards", so I'd have to pay $8 for a plug. After discussing it with the ray of sunshine that wears glasses, what must have been the manager comes by and says they'll plug it at their cost but my warranty on that tire would be voided !!!! I guess its one claim per tire!! They claim they water check all the tires for leaks but I didn't see any rims the tires could be mounted on to check 'em. One of the other tires I'd gotten had a gouge in it and I wanted that changed out, you wouldn't believe the bologna skin tire they brought out, if they really do "check all tires" this tube of lunch meat managed to slip past them. Bottom line, GET TIRES SOMEWHERE ELSE. read more

I have no reason to take any stars off for this place. Went to have my own used tire swapped because my original tire (with tons of tread left) was totally flat. I had been told, after only brief inspections from two other "reputable" places that it was impossible to patch and I was better off replacing it. Used Tires Express could have charged me a good 10 dollars more for the swap, but instead the mechanics (technicians?) had a feeling that it indeed could be patched. They showed genuine compassion (I'm a poor college kid) and said they would see what they could do for me considering the flat was nearly a new tire. They worked for the good part of an hour on cleaning the tire (I had used fix a flat which made it hard to patch/plug) and finally managed to seal it and deem it safe for road use. They then mounted and balanced it and still only charged me the $7.73 with tax the patch would have cost. Unfortunately the place I got the tire from was unable to refund my money, but I will be sure to consult this place first from now on. Would highly recommend. read more
