Also, unwilling to help do what is right with situation resolution in regards to their battery not working for my vehicle subsequently having to get the dealers battery to help fix the problem. I've patronized many an auto repair shop over the years from dealers to independents. But this place is definitely on another level. I recently moved mid-summer from L.A. to Arizona and wanted to get my classic Mercury "desert proof" especially because there were clear air conditioning problems... and in a 110* weather? No delay. From Ron the service advisor to the manager to the technician.... these guys were terrific: professional, courteous and skilled. Ron was highly knowledgeable about cars which I have found to be very rare having dealt with dozens of "service advisors." They quickly found the problem with my ride and fixed it in short order along with addressing several other issues discovered with all work done promptly and at a reasonable price. I decided on AAA Surprise Auto Repair Center in part because I'm a longtime AAA Club member... but also because of the good reviews and relative closeness to my home. Excellent decision it turns out. Terrible place. I went for a rear brake job. I drove out of the place and within the next week my battery failed (less than two years old), my water pump was busted ( I don't remember any leaks before I went there, and last but not least, my brakes squeak louder now than they did before I went there. Another mechanic told me he thinks they put the wrong brakes on. And by the way, they charged me a hundred bucks more than the quote. Don't go there! read more

First of all, on AZ.AAA.com it shows Full Synthetic oil change for 59.95, which they refused and instead charged me $69.95, plus the additional oil the vehicle took so I left there with a whopping $84 bill because they said AAA oil changes are not $59.95 like the website shows. Second, I was prepping my vehicle for sale so I took it for a full vehicle inspection on Tuesday at Firestone in Surprise and the only things noted for service were windshield wipers, oil change, brake fluid flush, and tires. Somehow in the span of two days where the vehicle was not driven and sitting in the garage it now suddenly needs $3500 worth of work according to your AAA techs. Leaking shocks, broken control arm (which they only quoted LABOR for at $750+, part price was unavailable), and a whole slew of other repairs that were not issues at an inspection 10 miles earlier... what a scam! At least the staff was nice and the facility was clean upon entering. They even have a courtesy shuttle service should you need that while your vehicle is being serviced. read more

This is the second time I've taken my car here and certainly wish I would have taken it here from the beginning instead of being loyal to the Dealerships. The customer service is great; it's easy to get an appointment; they don't tell you you need all of these extra additional services; and they are performed in a reasonable amount of time. The prices are far below what the dealership charges for the identical service. The previous time I was here they identified a couple of issues but said it could wait a year to do. There was no pressure to get it done that day. This time I got those done knowing full well that it needed to be done. I know if I went to the dealership it would have been hundreds of dollars more than what I paid. I'm so happy I found AAA Surprise Auto Repair Center. read more

I am over joyed with my service last week. I got an appointment in a timely manner. They went over everything and let me know they would again be checking the brakes next visit as they are starting to get thin. I appreciated the heads up so I can budget for the repair. They give me my discount for being a AAA member without me having to remind them or ask for it!! Now, the ride home and pick up when my vehicle is ready is the BEST!! Took my car in this week for an oil change. After they were done, I was told that i needed new rotors, new battery ("it would die any day now... better change it for $250 this weekend"), brake pads and it went up to $2,000! Of course , I was really upset about it . Went to someone very knowledgable on cars and he said I did. not need ANY OF THESE fixed or replaced. Battery was fine , had one more year of warranty and would run just fine for another year. Brakes/brake pads were fine. Rotors were fine. Battery was a little loose and only needed a cap to tighten it up and it cost me only $6. A big difference between that and 2K!!! Will never go back.....They really thought they could fool a deaf woman like me. PFT. They failed. read more

Second time here and I feel as if the front desk workers do not care about their job or the people who stand in front of them. I made eye contact with both of them and fully approached the counter before I was even acknowledged. I'm unsure if they assume everybody knows everything about cars, but I can assure you they will look at you like a moron if you do not understand what they're saying immediately. I wish I went to the 99th and Bell location. They actually explain what's going on and don't charge you 20$ extra on an oil change. I won't be coming back. I've been with AAA for as long as I've been driving. I'm disappointed. This location is closest to me, I'd rather take the drive to 99th and Bell. Hopefully a change can happen here. We bought the battery for our Honda Accord through AAA just over 3 years ago so the replacement warranty period was over; however, the cost to replace was prorated so we still saved a considerable amount of money. Even if we did need to pay the full price, it was considerably cheaper than the dealership that only offers a one-year warranty. They took the car in right away and got it back to us so we could leave my car there to have both batteries replaced. Not only was my car completed sooner than promised but they also filled my wiper fluid because because they noticed the alert. I saved over $300 going to them instead of the dealership and they gave me an appointment much sooner than the dealership. Customer service was great, we will definitely be back! read more

I would not take my car here voluntarily. I was forced to go here because the AAA driver that came to my home when my battery died would not replace it under their replacement policy first without going there first. They charged my battery enough to get it to the shop. It ended up being replaced for free after having to wait more than an hour. This should have been able to be replaced at my house when the driver came since it was a AAA battery still in the warranty period. I feel I was treated differently being a woman. An older guy came in shortlly after I did for the same issue. He was offered a free ride home. I was never offered this option. I also noticed the quotes they were giving to people there and on the phone. I gave a lady there the name on my mechanic as I thought they were lying to her. I think they use scare tactics to get more money out of you. I would personally not use them for any maintenance that isn't under a warranty with them. It is a shame because I always thought AAA would be trustworthy but they aren't. read more

We took our car for an oil change, air filter change and tire rotation at AAA Auto Repair Center on Bell in Surprise. AAA members get 10% of all repairs and they are running a $29 oil change special for members as well. We called this morning for an appointment and they got us right in. Friendly staff and clean shop. They even offered us a free ride home while our car was being working on. We had our car back in 90 minutes and we're provided with a full diagnostic report. We had a very good first time experience and will definitely come back for future maintenance and repairs. read more

We have a 2018 Ford F150 with 81,000 miles. The engine light showed up on the dashboard. We called and set up a time to bring the truck in to determine why the light showed up. The catalytic converters, there are 2 on this truck, needed to be replaced. The price for two, with oxygen sensors totaled $3,200.00. After we caught our breath we agreed to this work. Six days later the engine light comes back on and again we bring it back. The catalytic converter was bad. They had to replace the bad one. Three weeks later the engine light is back on and we are back at AAA Surprise Auto Repair Center. Yep, the newly replaced catalytic converter was bad. Now all the work we had done has a 24 month guarantee. We bring the truck back but now we have to pay an additional $290.00 for replacement because they had to go to a Ford dealership to get a new one. What happened to the 24 month guarantee? My wife asked to speak to the manager regarding the additional charge and I was informed by Mike, the service advisor, that it was the managers decision for the added cost since the dealership has more expensive converters. A guarantee here doesn't mean all the much. Be cautious here as their word and guarantee might only last a few days instead of 2 years. read more

They had my car done by 4pm. My dealer told me it would be a couple of weeks before they could even look at my car! Everyone was super friendly and the shop and waiting area were clean. don't come here unless u want your money took, they lied to me about needing a new transmission they told me I had metal in my transmission fluid and that a new transmission was estimated 6 grand, I went somewhere else and they wanted to charge me 3.5k for a new transmission, so I asked a close friend for their mechanic and I went. Come to found out there's actually nothing wrong with the transmission at all nor was there even metal in my transmission fluid the mechanic I went to (Victor) specializes in transmissions and instantly told me these people at aaa were just trying to take money. Which is just wrong am only 16 years old I've worked very hard to buy my first car and then I was told I needed to pay 6 grand to fix it I was devastated. These people tried to take advantage of a young teen and a old Hispanic lady who didn't even know English. My mechanic (Victor) fixed the problem with my car within less than a few minutes, it had nothing to do with the transmission at all. My car shifts perfectly fine now back then when u would shift into drive sometimes the car wouldn't move but he explained it was something wrong with the stick shift and he fixed it In less than 5 minutes! I was so grateful I didn't have to go the route to buy a new transmission and I found a trusted mechanic. Please don't go to this place especially if u think ur vulnerable to be scammed and don't know much about cars , keep looking around ask different people because if they tried to take advantage of me they might try to get u too ! nice try aaa read more

We have been satisfied members of AAA for 35+ years, so were pretty happy to see a AAA Service Center had opened near us. While driving from Oregon to Arizona, we noticed our 2013 Toyota Highlander might need a front end alignment, so we went there to get an estimate. Unfortunately, we needed not only an alignment, but new shocks, struts, some kind of arms, etc., for a total estimate of $2700+. That's a lot of money, so we decided to get a second opinion at another shop. Upon hearing that, we were charged $72 for the process of determining the car's issues and receiving an estimate. That is the first time I've ever been charged for an estimate. Although the assessment turned out to be correct, and I don't doubt the work would have been satisfactory, we had the work done elsewhere. I don't think charging customers for a diagnosis and estimate is good business practice. Just my opinion. read more
