Service took an eternity even though their website said the wait was 0-10 minutes, It took almost 2 hours to complete. The guys looked confused about where things were in my car and almost forgot to put my $50 wipers on and was rude when I mentioned the wipers before they closed the hood on them. The wipers are the wrong size and won't go all the way down now. They left greasy handprints all over my car too! I have never had to spend this much at any other location either. I have been utilizing Valvoline for my oil changes for many years at multiple locations. I have been trying to give this location a fair shake as it is the closest one to my home. However, I find that each visit they just miss the mark. They are extremely inconsistent with the services provided at this location. Most trips they don't top off the windshield fluid or check the lights and battery. Sometimes they check the air filters, sometimes they don't. As I mentioned, I have utilized Valvoline many times as I have multiple vehicles and many of the "standard" service items and overall customer experience is really lacking at this location. There is a lack of communication that is also concerning - the loud and clear communication between the employees above and below helps to provide the peace of mind that nothing was missed- however this location is unusually quiet in comparison to others. The staff is always friendly but I often leave feeling not fully satisfied. I have given them multiple tries as I can understand an "off" day but the number of instances are stacking up and I fear this is just the norm here. I will continue to utilize Valvoline - but I may seek out an alternative location for future service. read more

So my time is valuable and I won't leave a review unless I have to. Let me tell you about my experience here today and I hope Mr. Valvoline reads this so that he is aware and takes this opportunity to correct the issues. 1st of all, I'm pretty mechanically inclined and I brought my elderly aunts car in to get in n out quick plus the coupon is what brought me in. 1. The lady on the phone was super nice real professional and informative of the services they would provide. Followed by a text with a coupon to come in. I was sold! (She's the Reason why it's a 2 star vs a 1 star) 2. If the boys would have been honest and correct the issues, I would not be typing this while my food is cooking. 3. One thing I hate is when people lie to me in my face. I asked to check and set the tires to 34psi and the CSR straight up told me yes then after the oil change I followed up and checked and he said they are good. (Red flag as I did not see any one near any of my tires.) I Went home and checked and sure enough two over inflated 41psi plus and one under. Smh 4. Got home and checked my dashboard and still had the change oil soon light was still on. Never did they change or ask if I needed to reset the notification. 5. I asked to check for any oil leaks or transmission leaks. CSR quick checked and noticed a little. He proceeded to ask the tech underneath for any bottom notes and i heard him say no bottom notes at all. Csr said are you sure then the kid goes back and says engine leak not sure from where. *another red flag. 2nd lie 6. In short. Did not check tires. Didn't check the lights or wipers. And I had to ask to show me the air filter. And did not reset my oil change light. Went from 15 min oil change to 30 minutes plus. It's hot in the car. 7. This is all SOPs. And clearly marked checked and ok on my receipt. The call outs were very weak compared to other Valvoline service centers and really set a dull environment. As if they were all having a bad day I guess. I will go back to give them another chance. And if I have to I will respectfully ask for the services I paid for. We were told the wait would be a bit longer than usual due to them running off less staff. By longer, I anticipated an hour wait. We were there for 2 hours for an oil change.... Brandon was the tech who did all the work and he was great. Honestly, it seemed like he was the only one working. He was working in all three bays and everyone else just watched him work. Wait time is way too long. It appears the length time to service each vehicle is about 30 minutes. I waited for one car to finish in my line to get the approximate service time before leaving. Fortunately no one pulled up behind me or I would have been stuck. With one in the bay and two cars ahead of me, the total time before I would have been out of there would have been two hours. All three bays were open and seemed to move at the same pace. It's time for this business to catch up with the times. Produce a mobile app that lets customers schedule a service time. This is currently done at medical labs. Check in when you arrive and park in a nearby space. Pull into the indicated bay when the app tells you to approach the bay. No shows would be dropped from the waiting list. People who just show up could be used to fill new openings from no shows and extra time gained if servicing goes faster than the allotted time. However, on this occasion, after a twenty minute drive to this location, waiting 30 minutes for his turn and entering the bay, the workers informed him that they ran out of oil. The workers even mentioned "we typically check when you're in line" but that wasn't done. Wasting 70 minutes sucks, would have been awesome if they informed him when in line that they were out of oil. The only reason I'm even writing a review, is that he even called before going but nobody answered the phone, guess the 6 workers that were standing around talking to eachother were all too busy to pick up the phone at this location. All the employees there I have encountered are very friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. The employer is always go over different services types of oil changes prices on a Saturday or a tip is to download their app or go on their website to receive a five or seven dollar coupon off of your service for oil changes. Over all of these visits I have built a great relationship with Aaron the area manager and he is awesome. I have to downgrade previous my 3-star rating. I took my Acura into have several electrical/mechanical problems repaired at a nearby auto repair shop, and as I was attending to the paperwork, one of the service technicians asked me to come with him out to the service bay. He pulled and wiped the oil dipstick, re-inserted it, and withdrew it for my inspection. The synthetic oil was opaque, black in color. I pulled the Valvoline receipt for the vehicle's most recent service there and saw that the vehicle had been driven just over 1300 miles, serviced two months before. Unbeknownst to me, the Valvoline technicians had stripped the oil plug on the service before the most recent oil change, and the last time it was serviced, they suctioned the oil from the engine -- apparently leaving most of the dust, grit, and suspended solids that had gotten past the air filter in the oil that remained in the crankcase. I contacted both the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence: both organizations say that vacuuming the oil out of an engine is certain to reduce the effectivity of the lubricant as well as have significant destructive effects on the lubricated parts: this practice has been discouraged by both organizations: while it may be convenient for Valvoline technicians to use, it is destructive to an engine and speeds the wear-and-tear on parts. As one engineer said, the only way that could be more destructive to a motor would be to mix grinding compound with the oil... or just fail to put oil back into the engine. Indeed, a sample of the oil was sent for analysis to a lab to determine the amount of metal in the synthetic blend. No doubt, I won't be missed by Valvoline, but I can't afford what is convenient to them but destructive to my vehicle, -- and very expensive to me. In this day-and-age, there's no pride in doing the job right. If you can save 5 minutes by not draining the oil properly, maybe you can get one or two more vehicles per day through a service bay. The skid plate under my car came lose on the freeway after getting an transmission oil change. Doesn't look like they used all the clips and right screws to reattach it. So........I went from driving about 70 miles a day, down to 70 miles a week, maybe. Thank you, Covid? Anyways........I hadn't had an oil change in quite some time, and I am taking a drive out to CA in a few weeks. Figured I would try to get an oil change this week. I usually take my car to my regular mechanic, but they are a M-F type place, and I don't have any time off during the week. Decided to bring my car down here and try out Valvoline. I pulled up and there was nobody here. Legit, the whole crew was having a meeting or huddle or something outside the first bay. They told me to pull into bay 2, and I did. A couple quick questions, and I was on my way to getting my service. The guys helping me out (Garrett and Carlo) were extremely friendly and got down to business. They did their inspection on my car, and made their recommendations (didn't take them up on any due to $$$ right now, but I know what I need going forward). They started the oil change, asked me if I had any coupons, and no joke, was done in about 15 minutes. This was the fastest and easiest oil change I have ever experienced. Price was legit, too. With the coupon, I made out with a synthetic hybrid oil change for just over $60.00. Very reasonable pricing considering how much oil changes cost nowadays. I was very impressed with their prompt service and friendliness of the staff. In and out in 15 minutes! You simply cant beat that convenience!
