It's really frustrating day at AAA at jamboree; I was here earlier for vehicle registration and I paid all then found out it needs a smog. I completed smog test and came back within an hour. Unfortunately I had to be an along line again to get the sticker for reg plate. Even though went to same person name TAYLOR who collected dmv amount upfront earlier,he verified my name then said to be in line again he could have handed while he verified my name. The associate that helped us was super friendly and very efficient. She handled all three licenses in under 10 minutes. We were expecting to pay a convenience fee for using credit card, but found out it is only charges for DMW transactions so ended up paying $60 for 3 licenses on my credit card without extra charges. read more

I went in to the Tustin AAA location to get a Membership and Insurance quote and met with agent Vartan Kivork. I was in the area and thought i would stop in, I should have know better and gone to my local office instead. I found him to be very unfriendly, and not pleasant to work with at all. He was dismissive and short with me when I was inquiring about insurance. It seems as though I was taking too much of time because I was asking too many questions about the AAA services and policies. In the end, I was very offput with his attitude and his customer service skills and he should not be in Sales. If you ever visit this office, do not go with agent Vartan Kivork, and request a different one. One who will spend the time and want to help and assist you without any judgment. She was incapable of appropriately responding to simple questions of AAA Insurance overcharging my account over the past two [2] years based on 20,000-to-25,000 annual miles RATINGS when in reality it is ONLY approximately 3,000 miles driven annually. Rather than reiterate the facts of the conversation that went around in circles 6 to 8 times without her acknowledging the Root Causes of the Fraud issues I raised. I think it would be much more beneficial to review the audiotape and then contact me so we can engage in a conversation to finally bring this billing nightmare to a successful conclusion. I've been a AAA member for about 15 years now but seldom need to go to their office. I dropped by the Irvine location on a Saturday at 12:20pm needing to request an International Driving Permit. Their parking lot was full and there was a line. However, they were very efficient and had multiple agents to assist. I was given a form at check in, waited a few minutes, had my picture taken and my IDP was processed by Austin in a timely manner. I was surprised that the whole process only took less than 30 minutes. Austin was very nice and showed genuine care. It was a very pleasant experience. Convenient location next to the Ralph's on jamboree and Irvine blvd. I used to be a AAA member and have used their travel services and roadside assistance but let my membership lapse as my auto insurance includes roadside assistance. Recently came in to get an international drivers permit, which is a service they provide to all guests, and no additional charge for non-members. There seemed to be quite a few people ahead of me when I arrived 15 minutes before closing but overall was done within 30 minutes, which isn't too bad at all. In terms of coming here to avoid DMV related paperwork, this place has been reliable and straightforward. The main perk I enjoy of being a AAA member is being able to pay and renew registration, although I was advised by a front counter associate that the DMV is planning to move their renewal process online (which would be a great step towards the right direction). Word of caution, you should have a check or cash to pay for DMV related items as using a card will result in an additional charge. I had to actually order checks at one point because I rarely carried cash and found it hilarious to have to pay for checks to simply pay for a transaction. The wait can be long depending on the time of day, such as lunch time or after 5 PM. However, the service is consistent and the associates are friendly enough that I have not had an issue with waiting. The only challenge is that parking can easily get filled as the allocated lot is extremely small. I have parked in the adjacent lot (across from Ralph's) and walked an extra minute just to get to AAA. Overall, the convenience factor and membership perks is solid enough that I would certainly recommend being a member here! read more

Thoroughly disappointed with recent tow service provided. City of Anaheim, Orangewood Ave/Rampart Street. on 6/12 at 5:22pm, I called AAA number. My car broke down in the middle of the road, blocking traffic. It took several minutes (15 at least) to explain where my location was, even though you sent me the link to "Pin Point" my location, which was successful. You still could not locate me (Customer Service rep). Finally, after fumbling through the process, I was located and was told a tow/driver was on its way. At 6:17pm, I call to find out where is driver. I called for an update, you didn't call me. I asked what is taking so long, I was told that driver was 15 minutes away. At 6:42pm, I called again, searching for the driver. I was told now that would be 25 minutes. I asked why the delay and why was I told "15 minutes" during the call at 6:17pm, It was at that moment I heard someone whisper, "We Lie". I immediately asked your rep who said that, she did not respond and then claimed she did not hear "WE LIE". I have been a AAA member for many years now and my experience is usually positive. AAA gives me the peace of mind that if my parents have a flat tire or random car troubles, they can call up AAA to help them when I am not near or able to personally help them out. It's worth every penny. In addition to the towing and other roadside assistance services, we also take advantage of their hotel discounts, movie ticket discounts, amusement park discounts and more... Recently I came by this Tustin location of AAA for a Passport photo. With a AAA Plus membership and it was only $8.62 after tax for 2- 2 inch by 2 inch standard passport photos. This location is definitely on the larger side. They have a check-in area who will redirect your waiting to the correct "department." The girl at the front desk on the day of my visit could have been more professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I was not a fan. Fortunately the wait was brief. My Member Services Specialist, Cody, was very professional and informative. He was definitely experienced with the requirements of passport photos. At the same time he was very sweet to ensure that I was happy with the outcomes. We took a few, some with absolutely no smiles and some with a low key smile. The smile definitely looks better. The no smile just looked mean!! After we confirmed the best image, the machine printed the photo and Cody placed the photo in a protective photo holder. Overall I had a positive experience with my AAA Tustin visit. I am glad I went here instead of Costco. Costco always has a wait for the passport photos, even though it is barely cheaper. Also I don't think I would have been allowed so many photo attempts elsewhere. I am stuck with this passport photo for 10 years, so I am grateful Cody was so accommodating. read more

When we thought we'd be saving money by switching our auto and home insurance to AAA we got stuck in bureaucracy runaround in regards to our home policy (we had roof repairs done which were covered by State Farm and documented as well, including the certification).... which meant the bundle would not work either and we decided to cancel. Our sales rep was not able to assist and basically started to ignore us, same for her direct manager (I'll leave the names out). All that was needed for a proper cancellation was the registration of our 3 vehicles... as a desperate attempt I decided to take all the paperwork to the local AAA office and I was lucky enough to talk to Harleen Phull. My friend recently bought us AAA memberships so I had to take advantage of the special offers and the fact that this office is just down the street from where I live! I used to be a member of AAA so I knew about some of their benefits already but my boyfriend and I came here because we were headed to Japan and needed our International Driving Permits. For those who are interested in doing so, you will need the following: - Application (I recommend printing this out online to save you a lot of time) - 2 passport photos (you can take them here or go to Costco where they are $5 for a 4-pack) - Current Driver's license - $20 fee (cash, check, or credit card) Despite it being relatively busy, we were seen in about 10-15 minutes and the whole process took just under 5-7 minutes. We walked out with our permits and were super relieved at how painless AAA made it be! We were also quoted for car insurance during our visit but found that the agent was none too aggressive but also seemed very disinterested like he didn't think we were taking him seriously. He spoke with a lot of jargon which was mildly offensive despite actually knowing quite a bit about policies which ultimately led to us not accepting the quote. We did get a free umbrella out of it and will be revisiting the option once again but hope that we get a different agent to assist us. Overall, I will definitely come back here often for other options like travel & tourism but just be wary since the parking lot is super tiny and always packed! (7/100--2019) read more

I've had AAA for 5 years and used it for everything car related like towing up to 100 miles at no charge, passport photos, to getting my title transferred, and each time they were quick and friendly. Compare it to the DMV where it feels like a kindergarten class, this place was courteous and professional from the line to the teller/desk. Note that it's cash/check only even during COVID-19. So make sure you have your checkbook as they don't do cards. Oh, and best part is that the wait times are minimal. You walk in, you get it done, then leave. Not very good, their policies are crooked and the workers don't care about the customers after they get them in. You'll notice when they never answer the phones, they come across as arrogant. I had AAA (triple A) insurance for my 2014 car, not going to say which make and model, but I got this insurance when I bought the car. I had their insurance for about 3 or 4 years when my car, had trouble and we needed to get it worked on. The lady I called acted like she didn't want me to get my car towed, and she hung up on me. It's really not her place to tell customers not to get their cars towed, I just needed it towed to get it fixed. Anyways, the next month I dropped triple A, got rid of roadside assistance and everything. Suddenly my agent called and promised me all sorts of junk but I told her no, she texted me and I blocked her. There's no point in getting this insurance, they don't care about their customers. I got a new insurance, and my current agent calls once a month just to make sure whatever car I have is running well, and I've been satisfied with her being concerned. It's a huge difference from triple A, because they don't care about the customers. They're just concerned when they lose customers, all those numbers are people they trick, you're just a number to them. And the DMV they have is just to pay off tickets or fines, you can't renew your license there. It's basically a court house, they have it to scam money out of customers more than anything.
