Recently returned back to Southern California after the last few years as a Vegas resident. Ended up getting a partial refund on my AAA Mountain West Group membership when I signed up with AAA So Cal which was great. Note you have to call the AAA membership provider you originally were with to get this refund. So Cal did not offer this to me when I signed up. Went through the hassle of going to the DMV last week to register my car in CA and also get a Real ID. The experience at the DMV last week was so frustrating that I'm glad I was able to complete my car reg at AAA. They took care of my vin verification and validating my smog check, which were both things I didn't know you had to do to register an out of state vehicle. Then the lady at AAA handed me my new license plates/stickers, and registration and I was on my merry way! Phew. Thanks AAA for saving me from another DMV visit. read more

I had several questions and she answers for every one of them. I was able to renew my registration right there: sticker, official registration - all printed out for me. Then I went to see the woman that works with insurance. (My apologies - I forgot her name. But she was still terrific!) Had immediate answers to my payment and coverage questions. We came here for travel assistance. We wanted to go on a Mediterranean cruise, and we already knew which one. We ended up leaving with the cruise, flights, two nights hotel," before the cruise, and all transfers between the airport, hotel, and ship. Beth took great care of us. AAA is the worst insurance company ever. When I quoted, they input 900 miles per year (I was not aware) for a lower quote just to cheat me in. And then they suddenly doubled the premium with some system error, and when I want to cancel, they charged me another $400 cancellation fee!! AAA is going to go downhill fast. read more

Towing Service I am writing to formally express my deep frustration and disappointment regarding a recent towing service arranged through AAA. I have been a loyal AAA member for the past seven years and have always trusted your service providers. Recently, I needed to tow my vehicle from one repair shop to another, a distance of approximately 12 miles. I was informed that AAA would cover 7 miles and that I would be responsible for the remaining miles. I agreed to those terms. However, when the tow truck driver arrived, he informed me that I would need to pay for an additional 3 miles due to the route he was required to take. This was never explained to me beforehand. After considerable back and forth -- in freezing weather with rain beginning to fall -- I reluctantly agreed to pay the extra charge just to resolve the situation. The experience became even worse upon arrival at the destination. The driver took my payment and left my vehicle in the middle of the street in heavy rain. He refused to properly park or safely position the car. I was left standing in pouring rain with the mechanic, trying to manage a vehicle. The lack of professionalism, courtesy, and basic safety consideration was extremely upsetting. I was so overwhelmed and frustrated that I called AAA almost in tears immediately after the incident. I explained the situation and was told someone would follow up with me. Unfortunately, no one ever called me back. That lack of response only added to my frustration and disappointment. As a long-time member, I expect better communication, accountability, and customer care from AAA and the companies you recommend. I am requesting a formal review of this incident, a response regarding why no follow-up was made, and reimbursement for the additional miles I was pressured to pay around $50 more. The driver telling me that they are doing this service out of courtesy and it is not their responsibility was cherry on top of for me I ended up paying $187.50 and he is doing it out of courtesy?! read more

Bill Tarozzi is the best in the biz. My wife and I recently visited our Son & his family outside of Minneapolis. They're big hockey fans so we wanted to take them to an NHL Minnesota Wild game. The thing is, I know nothing about that arena. Bill did the research and located 6 amazing seats together to a rivalry game against the Chicago Blackhawks at a very fair price. I've only been here to do my vehicle registration, and it's always consistently been a bit of a wait (at least 10 minutes) before getting help from an associate over the past few years. The associates are friendly enough and do actually try to help customers. I think the only issue is that it's an open floor plan, so it looks like there may be more associates that can help you but it feels like I'm just getting ignored until my name is called. However, they do provide water bottles in the waiting area and the service is fine once you do get called up. I don't really care for the small upsell of adding a member to my card or potentially upgrading my membership, but overall it's nice to still have a brick and mortar location to address my vehicle registration needs. read more

Horrible AAA insurance experience. I signed up with AAA condo insurance as I was closing escrow. They cancelled on me a week later saying it was due to a claim filed by an owner 3 years before me. 3 months later they still have not refunded the condo insurance and now they are sending me letters in the mail saying I owe them an additional cancellation fee. I've followed up with the agent Billy Griffin (who suddenly doesn't respond anymore) and looped in his boss Mike Hazeltine (who also no longer responds). Every time I call it goes to voice mail or sends me to another person's voicemail. I've sent several emails, still not resolved even a month after they said they'd fix it and zero follow up. I'll be filing a complaint with the CA insurance board and BBB. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. read more

Was a member for many years but then went with my vehicle's roadside service. Rejoined last year when we moved to Montana. Today, my car battery died and I called for roadside service. After a lengthy wait, I spoke to an operator, who told me that someone would arrive within an hour and that I would get an update. After 50 minutes, I received a recorded message that the driver would arrive within 10 minutes. Half an hour later, I called AAA again and finally was connected to someone, to whom I explained our situation. She put me on hold and then told me that they were unable to find a service person. She contacted the service desk again but there were no answers. Fortunately, two bystanders stepped in and helped us. Four hours later, another AAA operator called me to see if I was ok. I told her that if I was waiting for their help, I'd still be sitting there. Of course, she issued a hollow apology. First ( and last) time I tried to use their roadside service. Been a member for 24 years. I usually use their battery replacement service every 4-5 years, and they usually come very quick. My latest experience was 5 minutes.....5 minutes! The battery service guy happen to be eating lunch at the very same plaza so he drove across the parking lot to help. Then the yearly registration renew. It ranges between 10 minutes to half hour wait depending how how busy they are. The passport photo service is very good. The staff really know what he is doing. I need passport photos for US and my home country and he helped verified the correct size. How do I know he did it right? Both passports renewed without issued. read more

AAA. Been with them for several years and have multiple policies with them from life to car insurance. Recently I canceled my renters insurance and AAA continued to reach out to me about keeping it. It was ok until it continued with multiple emails and phone calls for weeks. The last email came from a representative named Tony Ortega from Redlands CA. Lic #4033956 Advised him to stop contacting me that I already canceled. His response was well to say the least very unprofessional. (See pic posted of reply) I responded back to let this person know how I felt about his reply. Amazing. AAA has always provided excellent service to me and this review is only based on the poor response I received from this agent hopefully someone can course correct this behavior and teach this person how to reply back to existing customers with respect. Maybe he just hates his job. If that's the case find another. Nonetheless someone needs to have a conversation with this agent and remind him what his role is. I don't expect anyone to contact me back however if AAA does it would certainly convince me to consider adding my policy back due to the reply. read more

Been members of 28 years and this may just be my last year being a member. Used to have great service but their recent implementation of virtual assistant for road side assistance is terrible. Highly inaccurate and taking up longer time than needed, not to mention the extra stress. Also, don't even bother coming to this location for passport photos. I had both mine and my mom's photo rejected and they were taken by different person. It seems like they are not trained or just don't care. read more

I have the premium package with AAA since 2010 and I hardly use my 3 free tows with them and the one time I need it they tell me they cannot tow for me since I am towing for storage. They only tow me if I am taking it to a shop to get it fixed!!!! How do they define that when I am a member paying their wages!!! What kind of rule is that? HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE Potential emergency and triple aaa could care less. Sitting on the side of the freeway with small kids for 2 hours in Irvine. Impossible to get in touch with someone on the phone after your request for tow has been placed. They just want your membership fees and will dispatch cheapest rate around despite your situation. We have paid into this for YEARS. Never have needed it for more than keys locked in the car or a flat tire at home. Today had an actual electrical shortage while driving on the free way. Safely pulled over. Long story short, called triple a for a tow. The woman I spoke to acknowledged we were in a unsafe place and said the call would be escalated and someone would be there in 20 minutes. It was 2 hours. I've tried to call customer service now that we are settled home and everyone has been extremely unhelpful, unsympathetic and they DGAF. They just transfer you around and put you on hold hoping you'll just tiSuper disappointed and disgusted in this large corporation. read more

While I have a GPS to guide me as I drive the frustrating freeways and city streets of Southern California, I still prefer to plan driving vacations with a map and guide book so I can plot my route and stops. There's something I still enjoy about spreading out an old-school map on the floor and looking at the roads, cities and geography. And then taking on the challenge of re-folding the map up properly. Needing the aforementioned supplies, I remembered that part of my AAA membership allows for free materials like this so I came to this nearby location. Located in a plaza between Albertsons and Rite Aid, this AAA has easy parking and is relatively quiet although while I was here there were several waves of people who came through the door, all of whom were promptly helped - your wait time will be minimal. The customer service I experienced here was exceptional. I explained my desired trip route and within a couple minutes had a couple of guide books and three different maps handed to me. It's all free if you are a AAA member. They will also provide trip planning assistance if you so desire but I prefer to do that on my own. This office also handles memberships, has a travel agency, can take care of your car registration and sells insurance (auto, home & renters). read more

This is the worst insurance company I have ever done business with. Their app malfunctions and does not add my card for payment on their end and somehow, I am responsible for the non-payment. The app allows you to update your card info and then their sorry ass system is supposed to alert that it is an EFT. It literally removed the card and did not proceed forward with processing my request with the new card. How does it process part of the request and leave the rest undone!!!!! DO NOT JOIN AAA!!! It has been the WORST experience ever!!!! Now they are trying to charge me some ridiculous reinstatement fee and I have never had a lapse in coverage... never late, NOTHING!!! I am pissed and I am going to leave this review on every page I can find. read more

Decided to go here instead of the Jamboree location to use the DMV services. I figured it was smaller and not as busy. Was greeted by a nice person that checked me in. While I was sitting down waiting, I noticed a bunch of people when ahead of me that were in line behind me. Anyways, I finally got called and this big dude was pretty rough around the edges and didn't seem like he was having a nice day. If your job in-tales customer service, you got to be friendly. I get it, you've maybe had a bad day. Customers were jerks. But your a professional! Get it together man. Maybe take your 15 minute break, reset and come back. Don't be taking it out on the next customer!!! Anyways, probably the last time I come to this office. To the manager at this office. Get it together.
