I was stuck in Death Valley with an overheated car and no cell phone service after dark. Luckily I was right by a campgrounds and was able to call AAA from the office. Their service is awful! And overpriced. I was told to expect a 15 - 20 minute wait. They didn't arrive until an HOUR and TWENTY MINUTES LATER. The driver was completely dismissive of my concern and said, "Yeah, you can believe dispatch, they don't know anything. They're not out here doing the work." Avoid using them! And if you find yourself with no other options and HAVE to use them, DO NOT BELIEVE them when they give you a wait time. I'd give ZERO stars if that was an option. read more

I Called AAA (ROADSIDE) To order a tow and requested a Flatbead truck as I have a large Dually truck. AAA said they would dispatch one to me! A small "2 Star" tow truck shows up? I told the driver I requested a flatbead truck from AAA? He said we have none available, I'll just remove the drive shaft and it should be fine When we arrived at the destination (RAM dealership) he dropped my truck and damaged the front bumper! AAA told me to send "2 Star Towing" the estimate and that yes, I had requested a flatbed Tow Truck and they should have brought one. I Called "2 Star Towing to get there email and to tell them that I would be sending them my estimate which AAA indicated they should pay! They never, and still haven't responded so I am dealing with my personal insurance company which in turn will be dealing with AAA! I have pictures and 3 witnesses who saw the incident? Oh! This is the worst AAA roadside assistance company I have ever dealt with, ever! Count on a 2 hour wait at the minimum if they show up at all. This summer they said they were pulling in my area now. I never did see anyone. I finally paid a passerby to change my tire. There was no follow up from AAA. I am in the process of canceling this worthless company right now. No follow up. It started fine. My insurance co made arrangements & I received a text to track ETA. The tow truck driver was timely & professional; however he was called away on another job which was an emergency from the Sheriff's office. The driver told us another driver would arrive shortly. No one arrived ~1 hr. I followed up with AAA & the dispatcher said that the same driver would return. I wanted the dispatcher to confirm if the original driver understood that (he) was supposed to return because apparently, he did not because he said that someone else was coming. Dispatcher assured that the same driver would return. Another hour passed so I contacted my insurance co to followed up with AAA & I learned that their tow truck broke down. We called them and the receptionist lied about having the tow truck coming here in 30-40 min - when we called again she said the tow track was on its way and when no one showed up after over 1hour 30 min wait she never answered the phone and let it go to voice mail - we called and called again and she never answered closing the calls and or letting it go to voice mail - it was absolutely unprofessional and rude - they have been dishonest but especially a threat to our lives since we were stranded on the road for so long / but thank God we called DESERT TOWING a local Pahrump competitor and even tho they said they would get here in 45 min they came within 15 minutes! Paid 578 in impound fees only to receive my work truck over a month ago and I've been waiting on a family own business to have good morals and standards to find it in there heart and fix there wrong doing This is by far the worst tow yard I've experienced. I talked and tried to settle this matter out of court but they have left me no choice but to contact my lawyer. They didn't even want to look at the pictures and today's was there final opportunity to make this right and all I was asking for was a replacement oem drysthaft from there junk yard and I would replace the part but instead they want to continue to insult my intelligence. Two Star saved our day !!!! Very happy with the service. We got stuck near death valley and ran out of gas. Luckily we still had some cell reception and made call to AAA and they redirected us to Two Star. It took few minutes in locating our coordinates but once it was done they came to our rescue in 15-20 mins. The technician was able to locate us easily even though we were unable to give exact location to AAA as we were at middle of nowhere. Very professional, told us all the details, gave us proper receipts and refuelled our car quickly. Very reliable. Thank you guys and keep up the good work :) read more

Excellent service. My car battery died, I called AAA and Joshua from Two Star jumpstarted my car. Out of habit, I accidentally shut the car off when I was buying gas and was embarrassed to call Two Star, told them what I did and ask if Joshua could return. Terry came to pick us up after a really frightful incident in Death Valley. The Highway Patrol told us it would take several hours, but Terry drove right out of Pahrump and was there as fast as possible. He was a great driver to hitch a ride with and was extremely helpful and a very safe driver after meeting unsafe conditions on the road. If I ever had to return to Death Valley, just knowing that he's out there towing brings a lot of relief. read more

Called insurance company and requested roadside service. We explained our vehicle was located approximately 1/4 mile off a paved road. Insurance company verified our location with Two Star Towing before they were dispatched to our location. We waited over an hour and no one responded. I called Two Star and the lady who answered said her driver had just called and told her that we were not on a paved road and they would not respond. Had I not called them after they failed to show up as scheduled, we could have waited hours in the 100+ degree heat thinking they were delayed on another call. Thankfully, our insurance company found a different towing company who responded to our location quickly and professionally. read more

On 12/26/18 I called AAA to request a tow; I was at a local park, 5 miles from my home when the flywheel on my clutched failed and my truck wouldn't start. AAA said that it would be 2.5 HOURS before a tow truck responded and that I could go home and wait. I asked that the driver call me 30 minutes before arrival so that I could meet him/her at my vehicle as I did not want an "unattended tow". I was working outside (without my phone) when the driver called in 1.5 hours. When I saw the call (I was checking my phone while cutting firewood), I immediately called back. The driver had just arrived a the park, as he had not yet seen my vehicle. I gave specific directions as to where it was parked and said that I would be there in 10 minutes. The driver said "ok"... I stopped with my firewood project and immediately went to the park; when I arrived, there was no tow truck. I called the driver and asked where he was - he replied "my dispatcher told me to go to my next tow". REALLY??? The guy just left me stranded... I dropped everything to meet him as agreed. It was now 4:30 p.m. and I had to leave my truck at the park overnight. I called AAA to complain and ask for a different towing service; AAA told me that Two Star was the only tow company in Pahrump that is contracted with them. Now I am tasked with paying out-of-pocket for a reputable tow company and hoping that AAA will reimburse me. If you want a tow while in Pahrump, DO NOT CALL TWO STAR - Desert Towing is honest and capable - call them instead! 12/27/18 - I called Desert Towing to tow my truck home; they responded within 15 minutes. Using a flatbed truck with a "wheel lift" feature, they hooked my truck up within ten minutes. (this is the same type of truck that Two Star sent in response). The tow home was quick and uneventful; Matt (Desert driver) expertly backed my truck from a narrow residential street into a tight spot in my driveway... so much for Two Star's claim that my truck was "untowable". read more

Absolutely ridiculous! We went there to get a part for our truck. They had the part we needed, but we needed a Jack to get the part off. We ask the lady if we could pay her for the part so we could go home and get the Jack and come back and get the part off. We offered to pay before we left so it wasn't sold while we were gone. She refused to let us pay and said that the part would still be there. We went home and got the Jack and when we came back she had sold the part. Waste of our gas and our time!!! Unfortunately I had to meet Two Star or rather their representative Terry under the same conditions most people meet rescue services. My fuel pump went out on my car while at a friends house. I called Allstate which in turn called Two Star Towing service. They fortunately weren't slammed with a heavy dispatch log and within 30 minutes Terry arrived. This is a Sunday afternoon about 106 out. Terry is very professional and knowledgeable about the towing aspects. I can vouch for that having retired from Heavyhaul transport. I noticed how he was just getting it accomplished and I felt my BMW was in great hands. I am a little apprehensive on who touches my vehicle. I felt at ease and not at all worried seeing a true rescue service provider at work! I don't want to have any more towing incidents, however, if Two Star Towing is sending Terry over to retrieve my vehicle I will welcome the day!! My issue and rating is for the company and the dispatch. I needed towing in Pahrump after a trip to Death Valley. Called AAA, and got assigned to Two Star Towing. They said 1-hour wait, and I said ok. (Sunday, after Thanksgiving, in middle of nowhere) Waited an hour, nothing. Called Two Star Towing directly to have the lady tell me that the driver had a flat and that now the driver was on the way, should be 20/25 minutes. Waited another half an hour, nothing. Called Two Star Towing again, only to have the lady put me on hold for half an hour then tell me that the driver was pulled over, but was on the way. Waited another hour for a total of 2 and half hours before the tow. The towing truck did not have a flat (the driver admitted), but was already had a job when my call request came in. The lady rep/dispatch should've been honest. She did not need to come with with a lie. If she had told me that it would have been a 2.5 hour wait to begin with, I would have called my insurance company and/or my tire insurance company. The driver himself was awesome. Called AAA for a locked out vehicle at County Dump; they referred business to Two Star Towing. Waited an hour, called back to find out that Two Star Towing would not unlock a vehicle at this location. Called Police but they no longer provide this service. Called Mobile Locksmith, Inc. (775-553-1434), they were onsite in less than 15 minutes and had us on our way in less than another 10 minutes. Do yourself a favor and call them instead! read more

If I could leave less than a one star I would. I purchased an engine from their yard and was told I would be contacted when it was removed from the vehicle it was in so that it could be delivered. Over the course of slightly more than a year and a half I stopped by their location at least 3 times and called at least 4 others. I was told I would be notified when it was available. I drove by and noticed the car was gone so I stopped by to find out when it was going to be delivered and was told it was sold, to someone else. I was then told there was another better engine that I could get instead but the owner would have to call me. I waited and about an hour and a half later received a voice mail stating that my receipt would not be honored and I would not be issued a refund for the money that I paid because it had been too long and I hadn't made any contact with them since purchase. I would not recommend doing any business with this company. read more

Called Two Star directly after my insurance company failed to answer calls. Melissa was somehow able to quickly get in contact and approve the tow service. Driver arrived shortly after the call and had my vehicle loaded quick and secure. I was also provided a ride with the driver into Vegas; the driver was polite and professional. It was two days before Xmas & our rv broke down in Beatty, NV. Two Star's driver arrived on time and was courteous. However, was in a rush to get going & did not want to hook up his lights. He asked us to follow him in our jeep with our flashers on. When we began following him he drove over a bunch of gravel which piled up on the back bumper of our rv and began bouncing off onto our jeep hood & windshield for many many miles. This resulted in several small cracks in our jeeps windshield and tiny chips in the paint. Also, the front bumper of our rv was cracked in the front and caved in on the bottom from his tow hoisr. The owner of the Company was notified of the damages within 10 minutes of the driver leaving our destination. He came and inspected, took pictures and said he would get back to us. The next day we called and we're told they were not going to do anything about it. They said the driver denied doing any damage. That there would have been grease on the bumper if he had done it. Let me just say....the bottom of the bumper is covered in grease to this day. We did sign off on the paperwork but did not immediately notice the damage. Also, we did not receive any receipt/paperwork for this tow. We were told we could come pick it up if we wanted, but they were closing soon for the holiday. We had to pick up the rv at that time before repair shop closed., so no paperwork. Needless to say they have no morals if things go wrong and their driver cuts corners and is careless. PS Driver had to remove the rear mud flap to tow, but did not put it back on when he dropped it off. Guess he was in a hurry to leave when he realized I hadn't noticed the damage. Two Star towing barely deserves one star! I was stranded for 9 hours in Death Valley waiting for the tow truck ! It took the driver nearly 5 hours to get to me when they were 100 miles away! The driver PASSED me, WITH MY TRUCK on the back! When he finally turned around to pick me up an hour later, he got a flat tire and couldn't even change it himself! We had to wait 3 MORE HOURS for someone to come help him change the tire! GIVE ME A BREAK! Poor, poor service. read more
