(I will start by saying that the manager of the facility is nothing but nice and helpful. I think she has tried to resolve the issue on my behalf but her hands are tied by the owners.) The issue is that the lights in the storage facility are on a timer based on movement in the hallway. Which I get. If there is no movement, the lights will go out since it figures there is no one left on the floor (floor 3.) But the timer is set to a ludicrous 3-5 minutes before the lights extinguish. The movement sensors are placed very far apart and will go out after not sensing my movement down the hallway. There are no windows on this level and it gets near black in my unit. Every 3-5 minutes, I must then walk about 25 yards down the hallway to re-trip the timer and have the lights turn back on. On a normal visit, I have to walk up and down the hallway 5 or 6 times to simply have light. I have resorted to bringing a flashlight with me for light. I have requested that the issue be resolved to allow more time before the lights extinguish- like even 10-15 minutes. Or to install another sensor or two to sense movement. Each time I complain I am assured that an electrician will come out to fix the problem. Nothing is ever done and I am feeling like a nag. So, I feel like I must just accept that I will not get get any resolution regarding this manner. This review is a last resort after double digit complaints. So... just be aware that if you lease a storage unit on the third floor, and if you are not right underneath the one or two sensors in the hallways, you will be in the dark most of the time.

If access hours are being changed, that needs to be formally communicated and updated everywhere it's advertised -- not handled verbally by staff or by a piece of paper taped to the gate keypad. There have also been repeated issues with the on-site manager, Dana. I personally had a problem regarding my service animal when she instantly yelled at me that dogs were not allowed on the property and would not listen to anything I had to say. I ended up leaving and contacting the district manager, who clearly told me that service animals are allowed on the property as long as they are leashed and said he would speak with her. Dana had also put up "no animals in the building" signs, which mysteriously disappeared the day after I contacted the district manager. Lastly, I've had two rent increases within one year and am currently paying around $280 ($300 with late fees), despite requesting multiple times to move my payment due date to better match my pay schedule and being ignored. Meanwhile, the exact same size units online are listed between roughly $108-$170. I've been at this facility for over three years and have watched it steadily decline. At this point, management either needs to honor the 6 AM-10 PM access customers are paying for or clearly update the policy.

They threw away my stuff by "accident." AVOID…read more I rented a unit this past Monday, because I needed to start moving my stuff out of a very bad living situation. I brought all my most precious and important items there, first. It's now Saturday, and apparently, they accidentally had my unit still marked as vacant, and assumed the four boxes, five bins, and giant bag I just put in over the last few days, was all abandoned by a previous tenant, and they "discarded" it, to rent the unit to someone else. The only employee on site called the one who actually rented me the unit, who screwed up, named Nae. Nae said she was going to call the area manager, and call right back. We stood there for an hour. No callback - which is a huge middle finger to that employee who was onsite, too, leaving her in the crossfire with no answers. The area manager, Anjuli, finally emailed me after the facility was closed and I had already gone home, to tell me that my stuff was all gone, refusing to elaborate on how it was "discarded," and basically dismissing the issue to be dealt with on Monday. Avoid this place like the plague. And Anjuli - you need to make this right and give me every single detail of where my stuff went, NOW.

The crew members were polite, efficient and excellent with dismantling and re-assembling beds, furniture etc. They moved a really heavy marble table too! The best part was that JC worked with us on how to get the best value with the number of crew and trucks so that we could get it all done in one day. It turned out we were accidentally canceled, JC was very apologetic and gave us a discount. So the positive in this was that JC apologized for his mistake! I would have left it at that but... The bad: 1. The lead mover was quite grumpy, when I would tell him where boxes or things could go in the house he replied "Yes I wasn't going to ask you". 2. The movers chipped our stairway railing, which would have been okay except they didn't tell us about it. 3. Several bags were forgotten in the truck on the day of the move and one of the movers returned unexpectedly the next day. I appreciate him returning, but it makes us question if anything else was left in the van and overall seems quite unprofessional. All in all, not a great experience with JC Express Movers. Would not use them again.
