Beyond a consultative call or two, she was continually responsive via text & asked many detailed, clarifying questions that we'd overlooked in instructions. Highlights: 1. Detail-oriented & thorough: From slideshow, name cards, seating charts, food allergies, timeline, vendors ranging from music to cheese/ice cream, to flower placement for our cake, there was no detail overlooked by Doris. 2. Superior judgement for issues that didn't have prior instructions, ex. cross-vendor communications: There were many day-of details that we couldn't have coordinated, as bride on the wedding day. For example, Doris worked with our venue coordinator & DJ to coordinate our entrance timing for dinnertime bride/groom introductions. 3. I found them within a few weeks of my wedding, so I was worried about things being last minute - but they totally came through and everything was flawless! Melissa was our coordinator and she brought along 2 assistants to help set things up for my wedding. She came to our rehearsal as well. I saw the good reviews and decided to choose Lady Marry to design and coordinate my wedding, but to my dismay I had a very bad experience with this company. First off, the wedding designer was very different from what I imagined it to be. From my knowledge, wedding designers are supposed to work with the couple to talk about the theme, color, and scheme of the event and then produce models or sketches to demonstrate options. They are also supposed to work with coordinators and vendors to implement the design plan. Given a specific theme and color scheme, though my designer did make a proposal, the work seemed effortless as many of the designs were pictures already given to them, there were no additional creative work done. When I wasn't satisfied with the proposal, they gave no effort to do any major changes, furthermore, the options they gave were very limited. Adding on, they didn't put budget into the whole plan at all. For instance, with my suggestion of putting up string lights, the vendor they gave me was really pricey for just a simple design, but after doing further research myself, the venue actually only has one approved vendor for string lights and not only did they offer more designs, but also it way cheaper. This also brings up the point that they didn't do their research on the venue. On the day of the wedding, it was found that the photo booth couldn't be used the same time the kitchen was in use. Not only did they not check beforehand, but during the whole situation they didn't even think to come up with any solutions before asking me. I expected the day to be worry free and with setbacks like that to be solved within the coordinators. In addition, even till the day of the wedding, the floor plan and wedding layout was still unknown. There was no communication between the designer and coordinator as the coordinators felt really lost on the day of the wedding. They didn't know how to set up the tables/decorations nor coordinate vendor arrivals and deliveries to their places. Another crucial point is that the designer actually suggested to be on be on site on the day of the wedding, but the coordinators told them it wasn't necessary. Lastly, coordinators should also remind you of obligations, appointments, and payment deadlines. What's surprising was that the coordinators never even gave a reminder for the payment deadline of their own company, to the point that the company had to contact me directly to ask for the payment, may I say in a very demanding way too. I hired a designer and coordinators to help me through this wedding planning process to guide me through the unfamiliar territory of wedding planning, to really lessen the workload and piece together disjointed elements to create a unified look, but it felt like your company just wasn't giving your utmost effort. In the end, after my complaint to the company, they agreed to refund me 1/10 of what I paid for, but in exchange not to post any negative comments. I didn't end up taking the money. A company shouldn't be telling their clients not the write negative reviews, it is a way for customers to critique their service and for the company to make room for improvement. read more

I did not have a great experience with the using Lady Marry. I used the service for a Wedding Coordinator, but you select your coordinator by a list of 5 qualities. You do not get their name and so you are unable to look up reviews and you do not speak to them beforehand. Unfortunately the wedding coordinator I received did not assist in the duties that were stated on the contract. We hired LadyMarry based on the good review on Yelp and was very disappointed. I told them my vision and showed them pictures of how I want things to be set up and nothing was set up the way I asked. I even shared with them google doc with images and exactly where things need to be. I had friends helping to set up the reception, and they told me the LadyMarry team was rude to them and didn't know what they were doing. We bought 3 cases of wine for our guests to enjoy, and LadyMarry team did not help us put them out when I specially wrote in the shared google doc about setting up wine and drinks, etc. We had to take 3 cases of wine home that night :( We had one extra table, and I specifically said, please don't set it up, and of course they set it up. My friends had to call me on my wedding day asking me where I want things because LadyMarry team said they don't know. Had I known my friends were going to take charge of setting up the reception, I wouldn't have wasted my money on LadyMarry and wasting time going to the initial meeting when they didn't even follow my vision. My friends that were helping out ended up putting things where they think look best. LadyMarry is a waste of time and money, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone I know. read more

Our designated contact, Birte, was horrible at communicating with our vendors and left the company a few weeks before our big date. Our day of planner and cake person wasn't even contacted until a few weeks before the wedding leaving them very little lead time to plan. We also had billing issues with them as the person who picked up our contract changed prices and refused to honor a $425 credit we have in writing.
