I was referred to Ann by the manager of our reception venue, who had worked with her numerous times. Unfortunately, my experience with her was NOT that positive. Ann was hard to get a hold of, was unclear in her written and verbal communications, and given the fact that my husband and I were planning from a distance, this created a lot of headache. When she did respond, she often said she was busy and would get back to me days later. After each conversation, I was always left feeling uncertain that she truly understood what I was asking. For clarity, I provided Ann with an annotated list of items needed, complete with pictures and positions. I had to go over these items with her numerous times because I never got the impression she fully understood what I was asking for. And when she asked to be paid the full amount upfront, I was legitimately worried she wasn't going to do what she promised and would walk away without being held accountable. The worst part was that on the day of the wedding, her team arrived LATE and were still setting up by the time guests were arriving. Our guests had to wait in the front of the restaurant as Ann's team set up. She didn't even show up that day in person to supervise. As for the decorations themselves, they were only partially what we asked for: the napkins and chair sashes were the right color, and the photo backdrops were the correct design. She also provided some nice flowers for the cake. BUT the cake itself was not what we asked for, the sweetheart table had the incorrect table cloth, the sweetheart backdrop and centerpieces didn't have the lights we had requested. Overall, the presentation was still good, but I didn't appreciate that she and her team weren't able to accommodate the simple, clear requests we had made and confirmed with her numerous times. I would not recommend working with Ann: her lack of attention to detail is not worth the exorbitant prices she charges. read more

My partner and I needed simple decorations for the venue which included chair covers and a photo backdrop. We worked with Ann in person to select and coordinate the colors. On the day of the event, Ann's team was very prompt on completing decorations on 300 chairs, as well as setting up the photo backdrop, before guests arrived. Clean up was also very smooth and we were able to vacate the premise on time. Ann's company also provided a day-of photographer service for a competitive price and Johnny was very easy to work with. He made us feel at ease while helping us take photos throughout the evening, which included visiting each table. One area of improvement could be clarity in communication with Ann through email, but any in person communication was fine. My wife found Ann through other Yelp recommendations when we wanted to hire someone to do our chair covers for our wedding reception in July 2018. Where do I begin. I first became familiar with Aab when I saw their beautiful sweetheart tablescape at the Bay Area Bridal show. Upon going to my first meeting with Ann I immediately felt so comfortable with her. She asked me what my vision was and I provided her with lots of pictures and ideas. I was referred to Ann by my cousin, who had her wedding back in 2011. I was planning my own wedding at the San Leandro Marina Community Center for June 2018. Originally I was only going to order table/chair linen from Ann, however given how empty the hall was (since decorations were not included with the venue), I knew I needed more help. I ended up hiring Ann and her team for decorating the entire hall (including the center stage), tables and chairs, table centerpieces, flowers for the cake, as well as my bouquet and my husband's boutonniere. From the moment I contacted Ann for quotes, to meeting with her in-person, to meeting me at the wedding venue to go over the details, Ann was/is phenomenal. She listened to what I wanted from color, style, and would also give me her honest opinion which I appreciated. She is very honest with you on what is possible within your budget and what isn't. With that in mind, I showed her sample pictures of what I wanted and she made it better than I had envisioned! Many of our wedding guests, and especially my husband, said the decorations were beautiful. Ann would always text me or call me to confirm and make sure we were on the same page. I also had to put in a last minute request to have our names displayed on the center stage (since it was one of those expectations my mother had that was not communicated to me earlier).
