Crab fried rice and mango tea

Excellent service and great food. Crab fried rice was plentiful, fluffy, not greasy and with a good amount of fresh crab. Quaint spot that I will definitely return to.

Huge parking lot but might have to park further back since all the gym people park right up front. Pad Thai: got it without bean sprouts and added crispy pork. The pork itself was well flavored but a bit overcooked/dry. Otherwise the noodles were well fried and seasoned Kao soi: a bit of a spicy curry that comes with both dried noodles and ramen-like noodles that soaks up the curry - has quite a strong coconut base but I liked it!

Jury Duty lunch hour brought me here after reading cooking magazine about soups. Tried the Panang Curry with chicken, spice level 6. Definitely hit the spot for a cozy warm my soul type of meal. The curry broth woke up my taste buds. Coconut milk was a nice balance to calm and add depth of flavor. Served with side of rice that I would alternate bites with. Staff is punctual, service is quick. Dining area we'll lit and secluded enough to focus on meal. Enter through Stone Brewing gate

I ordered chicken Pad Thai from here and it was not tasty. The Pad Thai had very little flavor. The color was light and tasted like slightly flavored glass noodles. Hardly any tamarind. I was very disappointed. I wouldn't order from here again.

Nice interior, smells amazing in here. Excited to try their Chicken Satay and Honey Tangerine Chicken. The restaurant is tucked inside of a larger building. If you go to the wrong door they have signs that point you in the right direction. Many mobile food deliver people came and went while I enjoyed my dinner. If you are looking for a peaceful place to enjoy dinner away from the Gaslamp area, come here. It is a 2-3 minute walk from the Green line Trolley Santa Fe Depot Debit or Credit Cards only, they don't accept cash.

We walked in close to closing time, the lady at the counter was visibly annoyed and said no. We asked to order take out, then she eventually let us order. We opted for an outdoor seating at the courtyard by Stone Brewery Pub. And ordered beer from there. The lady brought out our food. We asked for chilli sauce, she sounded annoyed and gave us 2 packs of sriracha. All other Thai take out I went to have those little pickled chilli sauce and red chilli sauces. It's no big deal cuz we gonna sit outside and doesn't need her service anyway. The Tom Yum noodle soups (got 2 big shrimps, 1 egg, and grounded chicken meat) & Basil chicken rice were delicious! 4.5 star for the food, 2 star for the service. A smile would go a long way.

The place smells amazing and service is quick. Upon ordering, food also comes out quickly and they do a good job checking in if you need anything. However, the food was only ok. The Tom Kha dish had muted flavors and the Massamam Curry was a bit overwhelming with spices. Not spicy, but more like a holiday cookie flavor. I did order a 4/10 spice, so perhaps if I got spicier the dishes would not have been so sweet.

Unfortunately they don't have green curry here which is my favorite. So we opted to order the Pa Nang curry and pad Thai. Food wasn't bad and they gave a large portion. Only one person was working the front so she was keeping herself busy. Ended up having to go up to the counter and pay as she never brought our check. Pretty small place inside. Was a tad warm though during lunch time, wish they turned on the AC.

Last night we went to stone brewery and they mentioned that they didn't offer any food, but that we could bring in food from the delicious Thai place next door. My bf was excited as he had smelt the Thai food as we walked into the strip mall and he wanted it. We placed our order at stone and walked over to place a food order. We ordered the crab fried rice and they offered to bring it to our table at stone. They were super nice to also bring us 2 plates to share and 2 sets of utensils. This was the most delicious crab fried rice we have had! It had so much crab meat in it! We will have to be back during our stay here in San Diego. We are curious to try other dishes.

Pad See Ew with soft tofu
    Angela M.

Took my coworkers here for a quick lunch and it did not disappoint. The restaurant had some northern Thai food that my colleague craved and I went with my steady pad see ew with soft tofu. The flavor was delicious and everything was great. Parking can be a little hard with street parking only. Besides that, if you want no frill Thai food that is authentic and is reasonable in price, you got to come here. The setting of the restaurant is like a fast food restaurant, nothing fancy. Again, for a quick lunch, they serve you promptly and they make sure you walk out full and happy.

I recently visited Aaharn, and while it wasn't the best, it wasn't the worst either. I've definitely had more flavorful Thai food elsewhere, but this was decent enough if you're in the area and craving something Thai-inspired. The ambiance is nice--modern, bright, and relaxed. Service is good; but the overall flavor of the food just didn't hit the mark for me. That being said, if you're in the mood for Thai food and looking for a nice casual meal, this place might work for you. It won't blow you away, but it's not a bad option either.

    Red Curry
    Jacqueline K.

Doesn't taste like Thai food. I got the Pad See Ew and the red curry. The food isn't bad but it's not great. The Pad See Ew had bok choy instead of broccoli and it had a completely different profile taste. Usually Pad See Ew has a soy sauce base but this was different. Maybe more oyster sauce based? I'm not sure what they used. The curry was okay. Most of it went to the trash. Don't get the Thai tea, it was trash. Also the restaurant is inside the building.

    Solid happy hour.
    Steve T.

Super tasty! I was across the hall at Stone Brewing and while the beer was tasty (and strong), I wanted something simple as I had been traveling. Happy hour is from 4:30-7. I had the Gyoza and glass of white. Choice of wine was Chardonnay or Sauvignon blanc. I said you choose and I ended up with the Sauvignon blanc. Quick. Easy. Attentive service. Being next to the train station it's not touristy at all. Locals, a couple of cops were all in attendance while I quickly noshed. Those that know, know. Seating is limited.

Parking is horrific by the way and you can ask for valet for $25 or make a few circles to find some street parking. This place does not have a large sign facing the street. It's very easy to miss when you're driving to look for it. I would just aim to park near the giant art sculpture and the entrance will be towards the other side of that. When coming in, the art was already breath taking. They had the Iron Giant painting above the bar area, with very nice booth seating throughout the middle. The blinds were down for the harsh sunlight, but nearing 8 p.m. the blinds were brought up for us to see the sunset (it was cloudy though haha). Our server was excellent. His name was Raphael (Rafael?) and he frequently checked in on us to see if we needed anything else. He was amazing at his job! Shout out to him! We ordered several items tonight: Tuna Kare Kare - has shellfish, therefore I did not try it. Hunan Lamb Chops - amazing! Doesn't taste earthy or musky at all. The cilantro cream was a great touch. Crispy Pig Ears - probably the star out of all the appetizers. Tasted exactly like chicharrones. There's a smell when it arrives, but that didn't matter once you took a bite! It was perfection. Wagyu Corned Beef Fried Rice - yes, therefore is wagyu, but I thought it was okay. Fried rice is rice to me. Crispy Potatoes - this was good. I enjoyed the cream the potatoes were in and its crispy texture. Short Rib Kare Kare - I couldn't have this because of my shellfish allergy. Pork Tomahawk Tocino - FANTASTIC. MUST GET. Perfectly marinated and perfectly soft. Absolutely mouth watering. Sea bass Cha Ca - pleasantly soft and delicious. Did not taste fishy. It was a nice surprise and the curry was great as well. Buko Pandan - tastes exactly like Pandan! It was a nice copy of actual Pandan. Turon Tart - my favorite. Tasted exactly like Turon. The banana ice cream was good. Sticky Rice Crème Brulee - very good! Not my favorite, but my family enjoyed it. Overall, I truly enjoyed this place for its Filipino inspired dishes. The servers were all super attentive. Every time they brought out a dish to us, they reminded us about the shellfish allergy to insure I wouldn't eat it; they were mindful of our allergies. The experience was heightened with the cocktails we ordered as well. Again, an exquisite experience which I'd highly recommend to anyone.

Slightly better but doubly expensive Panda Express, just with an amazing ambiance…read more Food: 3/5 The star of the show was the Honey Walnut Shrimp. The shrimp were huge, and the caramelized walnuts were broken up and sprinkled all over so you could taste it in every bite. The portions were alright--three dishes were enough for two people. The Orange Chicken felt like there was more dough than chicken. I wouldn't say the food blew my mind; it's just a step up from Panda Express, honestly. Service: 3.5/5 Our server was nice! The waitstaff made themselves available if you needed anything while dining. We made a reservation online and indicated it was for a special occasion, but nothing special was done. We didn't expect anything, really, but it doesn't make too much sense to have the option to mark our dinner as a special event on the reservation website. Atmosphere: 4.5/5 It was warm and dimly lit, which made the dinner feel very romantic. We really had dinner by candlelight. The music was a bit loud where we sat--the speaker was right above us. I would recommend this place for a (first) date night, an older family meal, or a place to hang out with friends. Final rating: 3.67/5 (rounding up to 4 on Yelp)

Come for the ambiance but nothing really else! My friend…read morefrom out of town was craving Asian food so I made a Thursday reservation for this spot since I've been wanting to go also! We got there around 7 and it wasn't busy. I found street parking easily a couple blocks away. The restaurant is pretty small, I'd recommend at most a party of 4 here. Well decorated as all of their establishments are. You order family style. We ordered the cucumber salad, noodles, and honey walnut shrimp. Service was alright. The food was really really salty. But aside from that, good portions! Definitely enough for 3 people and then some. Bill came out to $55 which is a bit more than other Chinese food places you can visit in SD for lower quality. I'd visit again but nothing to write home about.

General Tso Cauliflower! Crispy, mildly spicy zing, tender but with some crunch - well sauced and prepared! Definitely a nice option!
