Outside temp was up in the 90s and inside it would not cool under 79. We called Flex Air on a Thursday afternoon and they came out the next day. They took their time to review all the equipment. They listened to what our needs were. They ended up giving us 4 different options to choose from on how to proceed. They showed us a side by side preview of all 4 otptions and then went into details of each one. This included two with repairs and two with full right replacements. They took their time to answer all of our questions not shying away from the positives and negatives of each option. This gave us a clear picture on how we felt we needed to move forward. They came out the following Monday to put in the new equipment. During install they were polite and friendly, again answering any questions we may have had. We have been using it a week now and everything is running great and nice and cool. We also love the new thermostat. I appreciate them being upfront with us. Again listening to what our needs were and they did not try to push some high end products with a bunch of bells and whistles that we did not need. My wife and I are very happy with service and product. Thank you So much!

All of my initial questions and possible pricing scenarios (of course, they could not quote an exact price) were discussed on the Yelp platform. The technician who showed up is Rueben and he was fantastic. He examined the systems and then explained all work that needed to be done and gave specific pricing for the work. The hubbs and I only had a specific amount to spend at this time on the system, so Rueben let me know what had to be done immediately to ensure we'd have AC throughout the summer, and then what we could wait on, but need to have done by early fall. We had to wait on some parts, but Rueben gave us a realistic time frame and let us know when he'd be back to install the parts. He was very thorough and I sincerely appreciated how well he explained everything he did. I will definitely be scheduling my follow up appointment in the fall, and I am now using Comfort Masters for annual maintenance on my ac/heating systems. Fast, friendly, and reliable service from a company that hires exceptional employees. That works for me!

When Service Still Means Something - Bates Heating and Air Sets the Standard…read more I want to take a moment to recognize what true customer service looks like, because unfortunately it has become rare. Bates Heating and Air in Granbury proved to me that it still exists. When I called them, I was convinced my pipes had frozen and I was facing a major problem. They responded promptly and professionally. After diagnosing the issue, I was told I would likely need a new coil. Instead of just selling me the repair, they did something that speaks volumes about their integrity -- they called the distributor to check the warranty first. That one extra step saved me a significant amount of money. The unit was still covered. They then quoted a very fair labor price, explained everything clearly, and made sure we would be protected as the Texas heat approaches. They even told me if the freon ever dropped, to call them and they would come right back. No runaround. No fine print. Just confidence in their work. Today Andy and Donny arrived with the replacement coil. Within about an hour, everything was installed and running perfectly. What impressed me most wasn't just their technical skill -- it was their attitude. Professional. Respectful. Efficient. Positive. The kind of people you actually feel comfortable having in your home. What makes this even more meaningful is something they did not know: I am currently battling cancer. Yet they treated me with a level of kindness, patience, and professionalism that genuinely made a difficult time a little easier. That kind of character cannot be faked. I have been in business long enough to know the difference between companies that just do a job and companies that build trust. Bates Heating and Air is the latter. I could call twenty HVAC companies in the Granbury area and I doubt any would leave me feeling as confident and well-taken-care-of as this team did. They didn't just fix our system -- they earned a customer for life. If you want honesty, skill, fairness, and old-school customer service that still believes reputation matters, Bates Heating and Air is the company you call. This is how business should still be done.

The Owner David is always a phone call or text away and is vested in customer satisfaction. A recent service call by Adam, shows that Bates hires the best techs and people too. When it time for an all new system, I know who I'll be calling. Highly recommend Bates Heating & Air.

I have used them to replace one of my entire HVAC and was pleased with the installation (That was expensive though as anyone reading this would understand.) The technicians have always been top tier and generally speaking the administrators have also been pretty darn good. I am cancelling my membership, i thought it was a good investment and in their defense it IS in the agreement, but getting a service charge to fix a fuse on an HVAC when a bi-annual service call is still pending is rather ludicrous to me (Maybe not to anyone else), but 37$ a month when only called about 1.5 times per year (Give or take) is just not financially smart, simple math 444$ a year and you only save 50$ on a service call. Lastly (I know this is long), but the real questions arise when you see an un-itemized bill. The total fee to replace a 2 pole 40 amp 24 volt connector was about 298$ (After the very service minded technician managed to talk them into then waiving the service fee of 54$). I own a small business I understand overhead etc, but the entire service took about 45 minutes and the part is listed on amazon and for 13.99$. So the total would have been (Without the service minded tech) Service and installation - 352$ Part 14-20$? lets go high end 50$ = 302$ I am then surmising Daffan charges roughly 300 per hour for calls. If we do take out the 54$ service charge Service and installation 298$ Part (Again high end) 50$ total= 248$ So again I guess its 248$ an hour for Daffan. The invoice I received only says "Unit controller" they do not itemize.
