Exactly what we were hoping for - the return of the best Indian restaurant we've ever been to! This is the reopening of the Aangan India Bistro that was near 270 and 23 on the north side, and from the first bite it was evident to us that the magic was still there - pakora appetizers that were crispy without being tough, "regular" naan that had plentiful flavor, and mains that had more depth and richness than anything we've been able to get elsewhere. We had the murgh tikka saag and chicken tikka masala, and suffice to say there were no leftovers! The atmosphere was really nice inside as well, with artwork, lighting and music all setting a mood of being a nice sit-down dinner, yet relaxed enough to not feel stuffy. One of the best Indian restaurants in Columbus. We went on Wednesday night, the service and food were excellent. I had the Malai Kofta and my husband had the Chana Masala, both with the garlic roti. So delicious! I had heard great things about this restaurant when they were at their old location, but never had the chance to try it. First thing I noticed walking through the door is this restaurant has a pleasant look and super clean!! Service was great too. But the food y'all is AMAZING. I had the Chicken Tikka Masala, basmati rice, vegetable samosa and naan. I picked 3 on their spice scale 1-6, which had just the right amount of heat for me. My husband chose a 4 and he thought it was spicy, but in a good way. The portions are BIG! We ordered more naan to take home. They even gave us a couple of samples of Indian dessert. The best Indian food I've had in Columbus. I ordered from Aangan Indian Bistro around 8 o'clock at night. I got the Dal Soup and the Kadahi Ginger Chicken. The soup, first of all, can be bland at some locations around the city, but the Dal Soup they had was flavorful and well-seasoned. It was not spicy or hot; it just had high-quality flavor. The same goes for the chicken dish. In the dish I ordered, you can actually specify the protein you want, and I chose chicken. It was rich, buttery, and decadent. Overall, it's a good Indian restaurant in Columbus and hopefully is not overlooked. We ordered vegetable platter, mango lassi, chicken tikka masala and lamb Rogan gosh. The star dish was the chicken tikka masala. We thoroughly enjoyed and it is one of the better ones we've tasted in Columbus. It was rich, creamy, and they delivered on spiciness which we requested. Mango lassis were very good and we liked the various chutneys that were served with vegetable platter. Was not a fan of lamb Rogan gosh because I don't think lamb absorbs butter cream sauce as well as chicken. I could always try another dish so I won't fault them for that. That's just not my flavor profile. In hindsight, I should have ordered something like lamb vindaloo. Ambience was nice. The building has high ceilings and service was prompt. read more

Absolutely delicious! I tried both the chicken vindaloo and shrimp masala on a takeout order last night. Columbus, Ohio has some great ethnic restaurants with exciting cuisines, but I have fallen in love with Aangan India Bistro in Dublin. The outside signage is nothing to write home about, but my goodness the food inside is so well-seasoned, and the portions are generous. The wait staff was cheerful and informative. I also like to the consistency of what is being plated. The Dal Soup and the many different kinds of Nan with Raita are a great way to begin. Personally, I love the Lamb Rogan Josh and Chicken Korma entrees, but I have tried many of the others and they are all superb! I also like my Indian food on the spicy side, but you can pick you spice level to suit your individual taste. read more

Probably the best Indian restaurant I've been to anywhere. The staff were very kind and helpful. They checked on me multiple times and were very attentive to my needs. I took my wife to Angaan for our anniversary, her choice of course. This was our 6th time visiting the new location, and every meal has been better than the last.
