I called Aardvark ant and pest control to get an estimate on eradicating the gophers in my rental front yard. I in fact called 3 companies for price comparisons. I never received an estimate from this company in writing, an email or face-to-face. In fact, I never even received proof that they even looked at my rental front yard and had no idea that they were secretly charging me $75 to tell me I have gophers when I can see, I HAVE GOPHERS Two months later, they called and from there after, continued to try to extort $75 from me. Harassing me on the phone. This company and I have no agreement on any cash or monies owed or a contract. I requested an estimate they never submitted.They also never revealed that they had a secret charge for agreeing with you and confirming to you that they too think you have Gopher's. Oh, thanks for nothing. I may have hired you to eradicate them in which, in that case we would've had a contract. And I would not still have Gopher's. Aardvarks side Their story is that an estimate cost $75 which was not divulged and certainly wasn't agreed-upon, ( since I already knew I had gophers ) and I have no verbal contract or contract claiming otherwise. This is a well deserved but long overdue review. My mom has used Aardvark for years. The guys that do the spraying are all top notch. We live on an ant hill (according to 93 year old mom). Every 3 months, they come out and let themselves in the back and spray the perimeter and then specific places we have previously discussed. If for any reason the bugs specified come back, Aardvark Pest is right back out here to remedy the situation. The owners have been so good to my mom, I cannot recommend them enough. On another note, I had a neighbor who was on a very expensive yearly plan with a major pest company for termites. When it came time to sell her house, one of the inspections showed (and unfortunately I saw a glimpse of this repulsive site), an infestation - thousands of these critters moving (total heebeegeebees!). It cost her thousands to fix. That will be forever etched in my mind. Makes you wonder if the big named company was spraying water instead of a termite killer. We've only had Aardvark back once and lastly, we had another issue ourselves with maggots (omg, total ptsd after that one-yuk!) near a trashcan and Aardvark, while they could have easily charged us out the ***, instead refused to come out, saying we needed to find the source ourselves first, that it would be a waste of our money having them come out. And I'll be honest, I was ticked off (get it?) she wouldn't help me We took care of it after all. I would highly recommend Aardvark Pest. You can have the big brand pest control companies. I had gophers So So Bad, all over my front, side and back yard. These little pests were killing all my rose bushes and just destroying my yard and plants. I tried to handle it myself - but failed. I was not a good gopher trapper.. So I called Aardvark. They were professional on the phone, quoted me a great price and was out so quickly, and what ever they did was just Amazing. The guy did say, you did have gophers bad, haha . He took his time and did his job and 2 weeks later, the gopher mounds are gone, my roses are so happy again. When my husband comes to me and ask if I can do a review on a business because HE thinks that they have excellent customer service, then I better get my but in gear. We have been customers of Aardvark for at least two years and I am ashamed to say that it never occurred to me to give them a review. But here I am and here I go... Aardvark Ant and Pest Control has the most outstanding customer service we've encountered in a long time. From the beginning all our questions have been answered, when we happen to run into our tech during the day if we are home and they are here to spray, they are friendly and open to answer any questions. Per my requests, they have worked around my flowers and plants and more importantly were very careful when spraying knowing that our grandchildren play in the patio. We have called them with a couple of last minute requests such as "help! We are under an ant attack!" or "The black widows have landed and they are looking to get in the house.." and they responded quickly and happily. When you call and they tell you they are going to call back, they do so shortly. We had our house tented back in September. We ran into a few issues with some of our plants being killed during fumigation, but after some phone calls and discussion back and forth, Ardvark decided to write us a check for the cost of the plants that were killed during the fumigation process. Been ant and termite service customer for six years. Originally I tried (unsuccessfully) to control our ant problems due to fruit trees etc. The quarterly service from Aardvark is excellent. On those rare occasions when there is a minor problem, Aardvark sends someone within a day or so to fix. No problem with ants for 6 years. They also helped through the years w minor termite issues. Had to have a termite inspection for sale of house and they quick responded to some fixes (very accommodating to our needs and schedule). I was referred to Aardvark in 2012 and signed up for quarterly ant control. It has been fantastic - no more ants on the toilet seat! The ants had really gotten out of control. If there is any ant activity between quarterly treatments, I make one phone call and someone is out within a day to take care of the issue. There is no additional charge and everyone is always friendly. I have also seen a huge decrease in water bugs and earwigs in the house - such a relief.
