This business is a piece of shit they installed a extremely faulty thermostat in my townhouse I didn't pick the thermostat as I'm not the original homeowner. I have the thermostat set at 69 and when it is bitter cold it shows that the temperature in the room is 60 degrees or 62. This company knows these particular thermostats have this issue as many customers with this particular one have complained. And guess what this company says there's NOTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT IT. read more

Recently had a split ac installed to replace the carrier unit I purchased 6 years prior. The parts were under warranty but not the labor. Aaron was willing to work with me and we were able to work out an agreement were I purchased a new unit for cost ( not a carrier) which came out dollars and cents wise just about equal to the labor costs to repair the old unit. UPDATE ON MY REVIEW FROM 2017: DO NOT USE - READ WHY! The minute something went wrong with my A/C - they deflected and did everything possible not to take responsibility to do the repair. They told me to find someone else. When I had my A/C installed I had specific instructions that they should put in a bildge pump in case something goes wrong and the pan under the unit in the attic overflows with water. Well that exactly happened. The pan under my unit overflowed and water overflowed and did major damage to my ceiling. So I called them for service, they came and they said they snaked the line and it should drain fine. I asked the service guy why the bildge pump didn't kick in. He said there was just a bildge switch and it drained into the same exact pipe as the pan. I was like what? They didn't put a separate line for the bildge? Have the owner call me please. No one ever called. Well a week later - massive massive ceiling damage. The pan overflowed again. This time the owner John came and started deflecting immediately. The first thing he said, is well you know the unit is 10 years old. (huh?) Then he tried to blame ME for the unit having an issue - while his company has serviced my air conditioner EVERY YEAR since it was installed! He went on and on with bs saying the problem was due to the air filter! How could you even blame me? Your company is the one that has serviced my A/C! Are you kidding me? He didn't want to fix the problem or take responsibility so he told me to find another company to fix it. They lied to me when they installed it. There is not a separate line for drainage for the bildge or even a bildge pump! I asked him the insurance company he used and refused to tell me. Can you believe an owner of a company would act like this? From the moment he walked into my house he was on attack mode and not interested at even taking care of the problem. If you want to find yourself in the same situation I am now, go ahead and use them. Unreal a company could behave in this manner. read more

Hard to rate since they apparently don't want my business. I made an appointment as my air conditioner wasn't working. They came and filled up my tanks and told me I had a leak and needed to schedule a leak check. So I called and apparently they couldn't come by for three weeks; not ideal. Anyway, I scheduled for the day she said they were available, and the day of my appointment, no one showed up. Checked in with the woman who answers the phones and she told me that the owner never confirmed the appointment and that I was incorrect that the appointment was official. Just that she had told me when they were available but it isn't official until they confirm. Well, excuse me. Anyway, I was polite despite my frustration and asked that they call me back to confirm a time that did work. Never received a call back. So it's now over a month, and I'll have to pay someone else to refill the tanks since they're not able to confirm an appointment, nor call me back. read more

Aaron A/C is a gem. I have been using them for more than 40 years in 4 different houses on Long Island. They have now installed central air conditioning units in all 4 houses. What can I say besides they are the best... honest, knowledgable, professional and friendly. One of my 2 central units stopped working last week in the hottest part of the season. I called late afternoon and they were there by 10 am the next day. Worked on the unit to get it up and running. Unfortunately, it still wasn't working properly so I called them after hours and left a message. They showed up at 9 am the next morning. When I asked Steve what a new unit would cost he told me that he'd try a few things first because we'll do it step by step before we decide that I needed a new unit. All together they came back 4 times (at no charge) before I ordered a new unit. Couldn't be happier. They don't advertise because they don't need to. Did I mention that they're the best? read more

I was looking for a AC company to perform a job in my house which was replacing two outside units and two inside units, after a few estimates with different companies it wasn't a hard choice but to choose Aaron. John was a perfect gentleman not only when he came for estimate but also when he and his team showed up for the two day installation. They were super clean and professional . The job was complete after two days as promised and I couldn't be more satisfied with there workmanship. John (owner) was completely straight-forward and no-nonsense with the alternatives and pricing. Don't know if anyone has received service from this company, I am reporting a very unpleasant experience I had this morning with one of their employees (Steve.) I have an inwall Friedrich A/C that's not cooling. The unit is 4yrs old. I called the place of purchase for their recommendation for repair. I was given someone who immediately called. I explained the entire situation, type of unit, etc. He said "I don't work on Friedrich, do very little a/c work, I'm mostly other appliances." (He could have said this from the beginning rather than my going into details..) He said he needed a few days to make contact with someone he knows who works on Friedrich. After a week I called, he said he spoke to someone who is thoroughly experienced, been around a long time, honest, he explained the problem, type of unit and also told Steve to give me a reasonable fee. It took another week to schedule the appointment, my calls were not returned. I mentioned to the person who answered the phone this is an inwall unit. Steve came this morning, looked at the a/c and said "I only work on ductless systems." Needless to say I was quite upset, having waited a little more than 3 wks for service, happy thinking someone was finally coming. I questioned "why did you come, your friend explained the entire situation." I did not get a response. I was charged $103.20 for him to step inside my home. He didn't do anything. Had I known, I would have showed him the unit from outside! I believe in professionals being paid for honest, good services rendered, however, this was totally unfair. Steve was aware of the situation, maybe he forgot it was an inwall unit, maybe the person who scheduled the appointment forgot to write that down. I don't know, all I know is I am going to report this company for unfair charging/practices. I called Friedrich, they suggested a company not too far away. I scheduled the first appointment I could get which is next week, I had to pay in advance, using my credit card, for the service call. I have never dealt with a company that takes money upfront. Having to wait almost a month for service, for the wrong person, company to come, I'm sure you can understand this very upsetting. Installed a double air conditioning unit in my home. 2 condensers and 2 air handlers. 3 engineers, and one helper. They worked all day, very polite and kept my house clean. All contract points were completed professionally. Everything they touched, they cleaned when done. I got 8 estimates, these guys offered best ideas to keep house cool. Did not oversell or do more than what was really needed. Got great price and they even took care of all the rebates offered by lipa and rheem ac company. Followed up on all emails prior to the start of the job. Small deposit prior to job placed on credit card. Installation was a month ago. All good, house is 70 degrees all day. Thanks. read more

We were serviced for our central air conditioning . During a real heat wave this summer, we called AAron. A serviceman came to fix our problem. The next day the air conditioning did not go on. They returned, adjusted something, then instructed me to "wait and watch" for as long as it took to see if the part was effective. After paying over almost$1000 I was left to wait and watch as the rude and aggressive serviceman left the house claiming if I was not willing to cooperate he was leaving. That's exactly what he did. We hired another company. Aaron is a RUDE UNPROFESSIONAL unreliable company that I should have thought to list a complaint to the better business bureau!!!! read more
