The WORST pool company in the valley. I'll spare the long awful history and sum it up. They are liars, deceitful and actually hateful. They went out of their way to deny a claim to our Home Warranty to replace a filter that split. Funny part was it spit b/c they installed the plumbing incorrectly and caused the split. They did not want to pay to clean up their mess so they lied to the Home Warranty. We spent over 2 months fighting this. My pool is black, and destroyed. Aaron pools is rude, untrustworthy and basically have no clue what they are doing. DO NOT PAY THEM $$$$ TO TOUCH YOUR POOL. read more

We had a technician from Aaron Pools come out to conduct home warranty repair on our pool today 4/16/2020. We received the worst service we have had in a long time from any company. First, when we set the appointment we requested the tech wear a mask due to the Coronavirus health risk. He showed up with no mask on. His attitude was terrible. Seemed angry to have to be doing the job. He replaced the timer but did not spend any time explaining to my wife how it works. He informed us the pool filler float valve was not working and said he could replace it but it would not be covered. We agreed to pay the charge to replace it. He was supposed to service the pool light which does not work. We showed him where the switch and electrical box for the light was but he said that was not it. We have owned the home for 20 years and we know where the switch for the light is. He went to an electrical box in another location which has been unused for anything since we owned the home. He opened it and then said this was why the pool light doesn't work. He argued with us when we repeatedly told him that this has never been associated with the light. He left after we paid for the uncovered float valve. I called their customer service to complain and was told the manager would call me back. I get a call from an abrasive asshole who claimed to be the owner. This ass wouldn't let me speak. Talked over me each time I tried to explain the problem and then called me a moron. When I complained about the fact the tech had no mask on as we requested he said the tech is not a mind reader and we should have requested him to wear a mask. When I told him again that we had requested that with the scheduler he shouted me down and didn't care. This company is unsafe to do business with. The tech had a terrible attitude and the owner - if that is who he really is - is a loudmouth asshole who apparently doesn't care about his company's reputation. One star is more than these guys deserve. After my original review I sent a message to Aaron Pools through their "contact us" form. Below is the response I received from them (I removed last names): Dear Becky, We have no idea who you are or who you think you are judging our company who has been in business for over 35 years...you are not our customer. Mr. A. is who we have been "dealing" with because HE is our customer and with whom you should perhaps show this letter to...he can contact us to dispute anything contained in this correspondence. Mr. A. had an appointment for us to replace the grids in the filter at 2939 E. Bonanza Road, Gilbert, AZ. HE is the one who cancelled the appointment so he could research the grid cost and find them at a lesser cost to him. He did find grids and advised us he would drop the grids off early the week of May 7th but that he would call us to advise us when he in fact had dropped the grids off. About the only thing you did agree with our office staff is that he did not drop them off until the afternoon of May 10 and when he called us that day he expected an appointment immediately. We advised him we could not guarantee somebody out there as our schedule was full but we would try to get somebody there that day or Friday. He was aware that we were booking at that time for the following week. If he had dropped the grids off earlier in the week as he had advised us he would we would have been able to get this resolved before the weekend of May 12/13, 2012. We realize Mr. A. is busy, as are we, but we cannot make him find the time to drop them off as he had expected. Additionally, your pool is cloudy at worse, not green. If these filters had been taken care of as set on OUR ORIGINAL TIME FRAME APPOINTMENT before Mr. A. cancelled to look for grids on his own, you would not be having this problem created by the grids not being authorized by Mr. Angelotti for us to handle. It is understandable that home owners are trying to cut back on expenses but we cannot take the heat for that situation. You really need to take this up with Mr. A. After our pump was finally working again, the pool cleaner guy came out and I asked him about the chlorine level because I had been testing it and it was reading very high. He dipped his little test strip in and told me everything looked fine. After he left I took a sample over to Leslie's and had them test it. The chlorine was at 15ppm! Good thing I didn't let my kids go swimming. Stay away from these guys. How they have managed to stay in business for over 35 years will remain a mystery. read more

Absolutely the WORST pool company that I have EVER had to deal with. The customer service is horrible. After leaving many messages over the course of a few weeks I was only able to contact them when I called them AGAIN. I asked to speak with the actual pool tech who initially came to my house. The RUDE lady on the phone told me that she was more than capable to answer my questions - about a pump that SHE HAS NOT SEEN, and about a conversation I had with the tech THAT SHE DID NOT HEAR. I was assigned to them by my home warranty company, and I will be filing a serious complaint with them and the BBB. I was told to take the cash out option from the warranty company for the part and then they would do the work and I could just pay them directly. After I received the cash out and called to schedule the appointment I was told that I need to replace the entire pool pump system and that would cost an additional $400 and that there was an electrical problem and that it would cost additional money as well. I was then told that the salt cell that I need is no longer on the market, even though I was able to find them on Amazon. This is the reason that I am STILL trying to discuss my options with the tech who ACTUALLY SAW MY POOL AND THE PUMP. I wish I could give Aaron pools a negative star rating because they don't even deserve a 0. I called for a technician to look at my pool filter and when they came out they were very rude. Mike treated me like I was stupid and didn't want to listen to anything I had to say. He was very combative and arrogant, not wanting to help me with my problem. He seemed very lazy and told me a bunch of different answers that didn't make sense. It seemed like he was trying to get out of the work. When I called a different pool company they gave me an answer and fixed the problem right away. They told me it was an easy fix and Mike's answers did not make sense. And don't even try to report a problem to the manager. They are even worse and more rude. She didn't to listen to me or help me at all. Extremely poor customer service. Aaron was sent by home warranty co to repair our spa. They showed up unexpectedly without scheduling. Woman answering phone in office was apathetic and then defensive and extremely rude (she hung up on us!). Technician was condescending and curt, and was not interested in helping or answering questions. When we lodged a complaint with our home warranty company, Aaron said they refused to return because things were thrown at the technician and profanities were screamed at the secretary (all absolute lies). I could never recommend this company. Unfortunately for me I was assigned this company through my Fidelity Home warranty. The technician has zero customer service skills, and was very unfriendly to my wife. My issue is that my pool filter was leaking and he refused to investigate the reasons why. He immediately assumed that my filter was dirty with out even opening the filter to investigate. And you guessed it.. he wanted to charge me $90 to fix. It gets worse from here, but I wont go into it here. This is actually my second time dealing with this company and both times have been horrible. Each time I was consistently greeted with professionalism throughout the process from the office scheduling to the technician calling me when on his way. UPDATE: My warranty co. wanted them to come and give a second opinion on something. Do you know they demand that you give them availability for AN ENTIRE DAY? I notice that the company convinced Yelp to remove part of my original review. The first visit from Aaron pools was a young man with a bad attitude that took my pool apart, then tried to leave my property with some of my parts. He said he needed to go to the store to buy a new part and that he "would be back in a few hours" Why? I am less than a half mile from a Leslies, an Ace Hardware, and a Home Depot. He was just buying some PVC fittings. So, I told him I couldn't wait another "few hours" for him. he got snotty and rude, so I told him to put my pool back together. I had already waited for him for hours. I would still like to know why he was leaving with my plumbing-he couldn't figure out that he needed to buy some 1.5 inch PVC and a coupler? The women that answer the phone there are also unbelievably rude-that made me wonder if this guy was one of their sons. So, several fruitless phone calls, one ridiculous pool technician, and I got hung up on once. If you have a good experience with Aaron Pools, I want to know your secret. read more

I placed a service call with my Home Owners Warranty company regarding my pool heater and it was assigned to Aaron Pools. The called me very quickly and were very professional on the phone. AJ arrived at the scheduled time, and called ahead to let me know he was on his way. He was very knowledgeable about my heater and determined quickly what was wrong. I mentioned to him that I had guests coming for the weekend and hoped to heat the pool. He took care of getting the parts and repairing the heater in time for me to have it working for the weekend. The sad thing is I actually asked for Aaron's pools from my home warranty service, since they treated me so well a few years ago... They were unable to accommodate my desire to be at the house, timewise so I reluctantly agreed to have them check my filter while I was at work.. The tech was supposed to call me, and report what was found... but did not. The first call I got was from my home warranty company denying the claim. The claim was denied because there was supposedly algae in my filter, (well gee isn't that what a filter is supposed to do? remove algae and debris from the pool). Our entire pool water was emptied and replaced about a month ago, the pool was crystal clear and the filter was working beautifully until the night it burst. The filter is probably 20 years old, and no longer manufactured, so parts are not made for it. I spent two hours going to pool companies this afternoon trying to understand, corroborate, or invalidate their statement. Each company I walked into, told me that the pool filter ripped apart due to age. That algae would NOT cause the break in my filter. When I called Aaron's pools they would not allow me to talk to the tech, I opened the filter up to look at it and I was told that the grey tinge to the outside of my DE was algae. When I touched the grey, the outside flaked off and was white inside. I was told that the fins were crushed, they are not. I Truly feel that Aaron pool's just did not want to take the hit on the repair from AHS. I have a filter that wear and tear finally got the best of, and under my warranty should have been replaced. read more

John at Aaron pools did an awesome job replacing my pool pump. With the summer heat kicking in, the pump motor decided to die on me. John ended up completing a new motor install after only 2 hours of his initial diagnosis. Thanks John, great service and attitude. I can enjoy my pool again. Horrible customer service. AARON POOLS was "assigned" to my home warranty pool issue. I called them on a Thursday after receiving the work order # from my warranty company. They stated that they had 48 hours to call me and schedule a visit, and they would call me back. I FINALLY received a call from them the following Monday, 47 business hours from when I started the claim. They obviously don't care about customer service. Don't give them your business! read more

I would have to agree with the rest of the reviews on here. Aaron pools came out and said my motor was covered in leaves and that is what caused the motor to heat up and shut down. There were no leaves around the pool pump and one week later the same problem occurred and they told me it would be a week before they could come back out. I understand that home warranty companies hire the cheapest and by the looks of it the worst companies they can find so I am not surprised and i will be canceling my home warranty and will not have Aaron Pools back to my house. read more

Both times the same tech was a total schmuck to my wife. condescending, not very good at quality... mostly if they replaced the dirtbag late 80's ex rocker for a tech, i could deal with the work. Mike came out in response to my home warrant call. I was contacted by the company right away and Mike was even running ahead of schedule! He was incredibly knowledgeable, able to correctly predict was was wrong simply by looking at my pool. It turned out that my issue was not covered by the home warranty and was about to cost me. However, Mike found the exact part I needed without replacing an entire section, and so I only had to pay the basic call fee. All the while, he explained everything that was going on and answered all of my questions. What a positive experience! read more

Someone things that were working just fine all of a sudden don't when they leave. His response "bad luck". I just moved into a house with the water valve leaking. I had a pool guy come check it out and bought different pieces for it and it still never sealed the leak. I actually had the leak for about 2 weeks. After my pool guy couldn't fix it, I ended up calling my home warranty company to come and fix it. They had Westin come out from Aaron pools. He came to check the valve and ordered a new piece. The next day, he came back and replaced some old piping and replaced the whole valve under the home owners insurance. We had a pool pump that was acting up, so we called for an appointment (we've used them before and were happy with the service). Mike came out to inspect/fix our issue, but while he was here everything ran perfectly. He looked over our system and everything checked out just fine. He advised us to keep an eye on things and call back if we have problems again. I appreciate that he didn't try to sell us services we didn't need (my biggest fear with pool companies) and didn't even charge us for the trip. We will definitely use Aaron Pools for any future pool needs! read more

Mike came out to home after I had to get a second opinion through my home warranty. He came out quick and even though I wasn't home called me directly before and immediately after service call. Unlike the prior contractor he explained everything and had the issue diagnosed correctly. This company 100% sucks. I had to use them because of my home warranty company. Needed a new pool pump installed. Took them 2 weeks and many many phone calls. We live out of town so when my pool guy went by to Check on our pool the new pump had lost its prime because their tech didn't tighten everything up. Almost burnt up the new motor and did damage to the existing plumbing. Their technician was probably the rudest person I've ever talked to, like I was bothering him. Terrible service. A tech came out 3 times to fix a leak and low pressure in the filter. Each time I had to call the office to figure out what the techs did and kept telling them the leak was worse than before. Now the filter isn't working at all anymore and I had to sit on the phone with my home warrenty company to request another pool service company come out and repair their fuck ups. I have had one of the worst experiences with this company. They were sent to me by my home warranty company American home shield, they were very clear and detailed with my appointment right off the bat so I thought this was a good company. The technician came out looked at my major leak, and told me that it was not gonna be covered by my home warranty. I asked him to submit the invoice to the home warranty so that they can deny it and let me know what my coverage is especially since this was a major leak to the my complete circulation of my pool. I waited a couple of days with my pool pump off Hoping to hear a response. This is when the communication from Aaron's pool and the technician got horrible. I never got a callback but I did get a text message saying that I had a scheduled appointment. I called the office Mandy the office manager is quite rude and I asked her if they were going to cover all of the plumbing issues she said she had no idea no notes so I asked to have the technician call me. The technician called me and said that my home warranty company was not gonna cover the major leak and that I would have to pay $175 out-of-pocket to them personally, which would've been on top of my hundred dollars I paid to my home warranty company for the service call. So I made the decision to call my home warranty company ask him why that this issue wasn't covered, and of course I was told that Aaron pool never sent an invoice to them and they never denied any service. This company is lying and scamming people. My home warranty company requested them to send the invoice for the last week and a half and that never got sent. Do not use them!! I even decided to call back to talk to Mandy the manager of the office to explain my concerns she was quite rude and laughed at me unfortunately this is not how you run a business and you guys will be out of business soon! read more

Owner is a loon!! He came out to do service per my home warranty and never verified primary contact info with his receptionist. This resulted in a nasty conversation over the phone with him complaining about my dog (which he was warned of and that's why he needed to call me to neighbor could take him), complaining to me about gas getting there and how no one answered the door! I called my warranty, changed pool repair people because he said he couldn't get back out till Friday and in this heat with a motor problem that's too long. Once he heard I was going to call my warranty company, he called them and lied, saying he couldn't do the work because I was "argumentative and combative." I wasn't even home and he never even called the right number in the first place till I had to complain to the receptionist. If an owner can treat a customer like that and LIE to my warranty, that's one company NOT to be trusted!! read more

Aaron Pools was assigned through our warranty company (AHS) to take care of pool motor/pump and overall I am very satisfied with the service they provided. They were prompt in scheduling my appointment and the service tech (Michael) showed up on time. Michael was pretty quick in diagnosing the problem which unfortunately was a melted piece stuck in the motor that was causing the motor not to work. He replaced the motor and the pump was back up and running in less than 30 mins. Overall it was a pretty nice experience unlike some of the horror reviews that I have read. I give both AHS and Aaron pools a 5 star rating. read more

I put in a claim with my home warranty about the pool pump not working and was not hopeful since the woman calling to set up the appointment thought it was okay to interrupt continuously when I had questions-this is my first home with a pool so obviously I don't know much so I get that it's probably annoying but how else do I get answers? However, the technicians that came out were amazing-Andrew, I think- was quick, friendly, and even replaced the timer which wasn't even a part of the original claim. I'm happy to give five stars despite the bumpy start solely because of him. read more

Aaron pools was sent to my home through American Homeshield warranty. The tech is not the friendliest guy, maybe a little customer service training would help. Pool motor needed to be replaced and was told they would have one Friday (i was told this on a Thursday). I received a call Thursday afternoon telling me that they would have a pool motor Friday and they would be out to replace it (no time was given). I called Thursday shortly before they closed and the gal that answers they phones said she has no idea what i was talking about and no service had been scheduled (she was rather rude and really couldn't care what your problem was). i was then called on Friday and was told they did not get a motor and it probably wouldn't be until Tuesday or wed of the following week. Meanwhile my pool is turning green since the filter motor was out. On monday i called back to find out when they would be out. i was told probably tuesday. I asked that the owner called since the gal that answers the phone was the manager and really couldn't care less what your issue was and certainly did not want to be bothered with it. They replaced my motor on Tuesday (they had to make 2 trips since the 1st motor went out in the first 45 minutes of operation.). now it looks like i will have to drain my pool and refill it since they could they drug their feet on getting the service done. I will make a complaint to American Home shield and press them to remove you from their vendor list. Also if home shield schedules them to come you can request another provider. I tried to air this with the owner before posting and obviously he doesn't care either. I was hoping to use them for monthly pool service but ill drain it and fill it in before i use your company. take the other complaints on here seriously. read more

Terrible customer service skills!!! I had Aaron pools come out to my home to change a light bulb and the light has been falling out ever since. I called several times to report it and I finally got a hold of them and was told I would have someone out to fix it. Well that NEVER happened. I recently called since pool season is around the corner and they will NOT fix it because it's been past 90days and it's not in their notes that anyone was supposed to come out so not their problem because he doesn't live at my house (his words). Mike (manager) and the receptionist have by far the worst customer service skills. I will never do business with them, nor recommend them to anyone. I was better off without a light. I had an issue with my pump motor not starting after a rain storm several weeks ago. Home warranty assigned the ticket to Aaron Pools. I was contacted immediately, described the issue, they scheduled a time that worked for me, confirmed the day before, and Mike showed up on time, and quickly replaced the bad capacitor. He took the time to go above and beyond to answer questions about the pool, and repaired a couple of things that I pointed out that weren't in the original ticket, in a couple of minutes.... Fast forward two weeks - pump stopped working entirely, called home warranty back, who got ahold of Aaron Pools, who again, contacted me immediately, and scheduled a time that was convenient for me. The technician (Mikey) called ahead of time, diagnosed the issue, and returned later that day and replaced the pump motor. He followed up the next day with a part that he needed to complete the job, and everything is working great. I don't understand some of the other reviews - perhaps they should review their customers? Everyone I've dealt with has been extremely pleasant and professional, helpful and knowledgeable. I'd recommend Aaron Pools to anyone! Thanks guys! read more
