It's a challenge to find a shoe repair shop these days. I'm an era of fast fashion, things are no longer made to stand the test of time. They are meant to be replaced after they get a few miles on them. I broke a heel on a pair of boots I'd only had for a year or so. They definitely had more life to live. I stopped into Aaron's shoe repair hoping to having my boot repaired. The turn around time is about a week. And I got my boots back better than new. The heel had been replaced and the scuff on the fire engine red heel had been touched up as well. I'm looking forward to wearing them again soon! Just a side note, I will be bringing my Birkenstocks in the spring. To re-sole them is approximately $70 which is half the price of a new pair. read more

Meh. It's definitely overpriced for the value you get. $15-$20 for new heel tips?! I thought, well it's fine, it's a locally owned store, and I'm sure they will clean up my shoes a little. Nope! They were dirtier when I picked them up. Every single pair of shoes I dropped off had dried mud all over them plus they were COVERED in this gritty material (maybe rubber shavings?). If they had happened to glue a cut in the fabric or wiped away the excess glue from the new heel tips I wouldn't be so upset, but they did not, and they did nothing extra. I don't recommend this place and I will be traveling to a STL county shoe repair shop that did an excellent job for me in the past. I went here to buy a pair of birkenstocks and they were super helpful. They helped me find exactly what I was looking for and even offered to order a pair in a different color if that's what I wanted. They sealed the leather on the shoes i bought and offered to reseal them as often as I needed. I would absolutely go back here again! Love this place! As a chef, there are a few things that are VERY important to me. Comfortable shoes are a must. Not only do these kind and friendly people have an amazing selection of Bernkenstocks, but they did an amazing job replacing the non-slip sole on my Londons.
