You can score some real steals here! Anytime I come in, I make a beeline for the clearance section at the back first. While I love browsing, as someone with an 8 1/2 wide foot, I don't always find the right fit, especially with boots. I lucked out on this most recent visit, as even though the calendar says January, I found not one, but two pair of flip-flops on clearance for $19.98 each. But wait, there's more! Clearance was a full 50% off. Even though I didn't find boots or sneakers this time, which is, what I went in originally seeking, the vast selection always makes it worth checking out. They have numerous large mirrors and plenty of benches to rest (from all that shopping) or simply to sit down for try ons. With a harder-to-fit foot, I don't typically shop online, but of course, that is an option with DSW as well. Be sure to download the app, as you will get even more offers that way. If you have a problem with your delivery, don't even bother calling "customer service." It's just an automated message that sends you in circles. My order said it was delivered but it never actually was. It was a nightmare trying to resolve it. Don't order from this company. read more

I returned a pair of shoes to the Mid Rivers location on Oct 7th. I had ordered them online. I was told my credit would be on my credit card in 3 to 5 days. It is 2 months later and I still don't have my credit. I have talked to customer service many times. Each time I'm promised the credit will be credited within 3 to 5 days. I am so disappointed in DSW. I just want a refund or a credit. read more

I wear expensive running shoes and when I'm finished with them there is usually a lot of life still left in them. I like to recycle them and my regular spot hasn't been taking them since the beginning of the pandemic. I found out DSW takes shoes for recycling so I dropped off 2 pairs of shoes on a Saturday. Turns out not only do they take them they also give you DSW loyalty points for dropping them off. Excellent! I did some shopping while I was there as well and as always, they have a great selection! read more

This store is just like any other DSW stores I have been to...and I have the same luck as with all the other DSW's I have been to. They have tons of shoes, but I can never find anything worth buying. I must admit, it's still fun to browse. There are no deals to be found in the clearance section in the back of the store. I swear they mark up prices just so they can mark them down and call it a clearance. In a way, it's good for the wallet because I always come out with what I brought in. read more

If you're into shoes or bags, DSW's store rewards may make up for the moderate pricing. DSW is one of those shoe stores that has too much open space and not enough shoes. You'll wear yourself out walking here and there in the store. Maybe they do it like that so you wear your shoes out faster and way to buy a new pair. I don't care a lick for designer names and I don't pay high prices for shoes or handbags as a rule. I'm the type to wait for things to go on super duper clearance and even then I'm very selective about what I purchase. Occasionally I will have luck at DSW with their different colored stickers marking a different % off the original or clearance price. While I'm not a fan of having to do that much math at the store, it's occasionally worth it, especially when I have a credit for $20 off my next purchase as part of the store rewards program. I paid only $5 plus tax for a pair of strappy black heels last week. I would love to see them expand their bag selection. Right now, it's comparable to the ratio of bags to shoes at Payless. I'd love to see ¼ of the store full of bags. The only location I've visited is Mid-Rivers, so I can't say how it compares with other locations. read more

Returned a pair of sandals purchased online. The lady was very nice however she didn't inform me she was returning it to a Visa gift card I no longer had. After waiting several weeks with return not showing up in my account I called. Customer service was terrible and they refused to refund me which is very poor customer service. They kept telling me to call random phone numbers to request my money back from Visa even though I no longer had the gift card. Tried to explain that but managers just spoke over me and said they had no way to refund it. Will no longer return to DSW where I previously purchased almost all of the shoes for my entire family. read more

Good selection and decent prices. I always attack the discount rack. I found a pair of $90 Saucany workout shoes for $15. They were ridiculously overpriced initially, but after the discount I was more than smiling. I have never walked in and not purchased at least one pair. Something for ALMOST everyone. read more

Love the clearance aisle! The selection and price are on point. The rewards program is also nice and you cannot beat the coupons.

Selection is good and the clearance section is great to shop for deals. The employees however are not great. They ignore customers and seem put out if you dare to ask them a question. I walked around the store for 15 minutes without being acknowledged despite multiple employees walking past me. When I left without buying anything I passed two employees chatting at the front. They just looked at me as I walked by. read more

As with most DSW stores, there are a lot of shoes to choose from and they usually have my size 10 if not out, somewhere in the store! Are used to head to DSW for really unique and interesting shoes, but it seems like they are just pretty run-of-the-mill, nothing really special shoes now. But hey, getting those basic black shoes are sometimes hard to find other places. On my most recent visit to the mid Rivers store, I was disappointed at the lack of cleanliness in the store. Literally, the bathrooms look like they haven't had a good cleaning in a couple of years. I mean seriously, the women's room was downright disgusting. I was never greeted or asked if I needed help by any of the at least seven employees that were all having a great time with each other. I probably wouldn't bother most people, but I figure if I'm going to drop two or $300 in the store, I'd like someone to say hello! read more

Once upon a time I really liked these stores. I felt like they had a good selection of shoes for a decent price. Those days have came and gone. Now all of their Men's shoes are horribly outdated, yet their prices don't reflect that. They had Sperry's from 2 years ago that were only 5 dollars off retail price? Are you kidding? They don't have any unique styles of dress shoes, no monk straps, no modern looking wing tips, etc. They also don't have any unique colors of shoes. No blues, greens, cordovan, cognac, etc. For guys I'd stick with Macy's, Nordstroms, or Aldo. The girls selection seems to be better, but prices still seem to be entirely too high for a warehouse store. read more
