I wanted to wait before writing this. Back during the pandemic in late 2020 my subzero stopped cooling. I found this company and was happy with the quick response. Upon arrival after inspection they said that I have a small leak and the coil would need to be replaced. I asked could we find the leak and repair it? No, not possible. Any other options? No. In the meantime they added coolant. I told them no as, I wasn't working and would pay well over 1,000 to repair. Also wasnt given a good reason why the leak could not be found and fixed. They said ok and overall charged me over 500, just for the gas and visit. Long story short, my unit is still working today. Must really have a super small leak that it's been well over A year and it's still fine. Reality is that if I was working and busy I would have paid without question. They could have given me proper service with Proper maintenance and I would still be a customer today that would recommend them instead of warning my friends to stay away. read more

Called about my subzero refrigerator- mike B. came in to repair it. He was thoroughly professional and fixed the problem immediately. After he left I noticed that the light in my other subzero fridge ( I have 2 ) was off - apparently the bulbs need to be replaced from time to time. Not only did he make a special trip on a weekend, but he actually went to the hardware store himself to buy the bulbs AND fit them in for me. Wonderful service! I called subzero with a problem and the connected me with their local NYC authorized service provider. My refrigerator was not working and the best Pinnacle Service could give me was an appointment 10 days out. I complained and the best they could do was to put me on a cancellation list. Since we need our refrigerator I called Aaron's Refrigeration Service and he was able to come later that day. He diagnosed the problem as a burned out fan motor. He had one in his truck and he replaced the motor and we were good to go. He was very professional and very personable. His pricing was fair and a week later the refrigerator is still working great. I have a Subzero built-in refrigerator that is 19 years old. The freezer stopped working. I called L&J Appliance Who is a recommended Subzero technician. The technician came look at the freezer told me absolutely everything needed to be replaced and it was going to cost $2000. I thought this sounded fishy so I contacted someone else for a second opinion. I called Aarons on Saturday morning and they came Monday morning they repaired the freezer for $500 right there. I really hate leaving bad reviews for businesses that do not have many reviews, but I think that this information should be shared. The first time Aaron's was called was a year or two ago, it seemed Aaron had fixed the sub-zero fridge the first day and a half after he came. However, ice began building up on the second day, and he needed to come back. He said that the freon was low and refilled it. Then, something else went wrong and Marcus had to come back the third time. Now, Aaron and Marcus were very friendly and as everyone else has said, they arrived in a timely manner. However, my real qualm with this business is what happened a few weeks ago. Another sub-zero fridge needed to be repaired in a different apartment. Marcus came this time, and he was, again, very nice. Everything seemed fine until two days later when the temperature kept dropping. When Marcus returned, he said that the freon was running low and that we would be charged. I think that it's pretty sketchy that both times after Marcus or Aaron came, a different problem that had never occurred before would arise and their answer was freon. We pay for that btw. Furthermore, if this is such a common issue, why aren't the freon levels checked in the first place? When I called about five other sub-zero fridge repair services my suspicions became even stronger. Take my experience for what you will, as I have no proof that the fridges were tampered with. However, I've worked with many different people as I help manage several different properties, especially in New York, and my gut is normally right. I just think that people should be aware of my experience (and hopefully I'm wrong). read more

Fabulous! I started a conversation with Aaron at about 9pm. Our subzero freezer was not maintaining temperature and the service light was on....and we were leaving for vacation. Aaron was able to accommodate us and his son arrived promptly the next morning. He took a look and determined that we had not kept the compressor clean enough. He vacuumed the compressor and told me that he was pretty sure the problem was solved. He was right. $125 for the service call and the promise that he would come back if he was wrong. He was right and I was embarrassed! They are honest and prompt. Can't ask for anything more. read more

I did not expect this story to have a happy ending. But I am indeed a fan. A co-worker told me about Aaron's, and then I read the reviews here, so decided to go with Aaron's over L&J who I have used in the past for my Subzero and is much more expensive. The appointment was this past Saturday, between 9am&11am. At 11:30am still no tech or call from company. I called, got Aaron and he apologized and then tech got in touch with me. Tech told me he was running late and it would take about another 45 minutes to get to my apartment. I was upset and asked why he could not have let me know this at 11:00am. I had appointments I need to change and busy day ahead of me too. Tech did not get there until after 1:00pm. By that time I had loudly voiced my displeasure to Aaron and the tech. HOWEVER, my subzero was not really in need of repair, I just did not know I was supposed to lift out the whole freezer drawer to get to the back and clean it, I thought the drawer was stuck. But when the tech got there, he did this for me and showed me how it was done....AMAZINGLY they did not charge me for a service call. I will be loyal forever, and recommend with confidence. For me it's hugely important that a business, goes out of the their way to please a customer and keep one. I would have been happy to pay something, but this was truly a generous gesture, and they were so honest..they could have easily told someone like me that something else was wrong. Very Cool. Avoid this place! Our refrigerator was leaking and I called Aaron, who did pick up promptly, and scheduled service for the next day AM. No one showed up - after calling he couldn't send anyone that day so had to reschedule. No apologies or anything. They showed up the next day and we told the repair person the problem and he said nothing was wrong, that it was "condensation". Because of the no show I refused to pay full price.
