Shortly afterward, the same hose became disconnected again and the washer started leaking water. If the technician already knew during the first visit that a connector was needed to properly and permanently fix the problem, why wasn't I given the option to have it installed then as part of a complete repair? Instead, I paid $170 for a temporary fix, was told it had a warranty, and now I'm being asked to pay even more for a second visit. When I contacted him, he claimed it was a different part of the door latch and therefore not covered under the warranty. To make matters worse, he wanted to charge me another $400 for the repair. I again had to chase him just to even come take a look. At that point, I gave up and bought a brand-new washer and dryer.
