Aaron's is my first choice when I am calling a taxi in the Amherst area. They are prompt and courteous, and I've never had a problem where they said they would be on time but weren't. They are also a family-run business, which I find admirable. read more

HORRIBLE! waited on the sidewalk outside the hospital for over an hour after being discharged from the psych unit car was filthy and duct taped together, also stunk like weed and BO. driver had no idea where he was going and drove like a maniac. but if you're hungry there's mcdonald's sauce packets all over the floor that you can chose from! 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND especially if you need to be somewhere on time or you're trying to leave the hospital... read more

This terribly unprofessional service actually has a contract for service with my university. They said the would pick me up, I called 5 minutes after the ride pick up time to ask if I should be worried because no had come yet, the woman said no, they'd be there soon. No one ever came. I tried to call a second time 15 minutes later and my number had been blocked by Aaron's. Twenty five minutes later I blocked my number and called back, she answered. When I said no one ever came, she simply hung up. I missed a very important , hard to get appointment with a cardiologist. This service is extraordinarily awful. Do not count on them for anything. Who ever heard of a TAXI service who blocks your number for calling once to check on a late pickup? Absurd. read more

Utterly disgraceful. Refused to honor their return pickup, stranded us in Sunderland. A cowboy operation, completely disreputable and unprofessional. Avoid at all costs. A little while ago I arranged a pick up and return journey for my wife and I when we had dinner at the Blue Heron in Sunderland. Drive out was ok, except having to stop so the driver could get change. The initial dispatcher we talked to recommended we call about 40 minutes ahead of when we wanted to be picked up for the return. I did so and was told that there weren't going to be able to send a car for a while, as they were all in Springfield, but would call me when one was on its way. No problem I thought, as we could just have some more drinks and wait. After 40 minutes I call back, wanting to get an update. The dispatcher again says it's going to be a while as they haven't been able to send a car out (I forget the full explanation). 40 minutes go by and this time we're the last people in the restaurant, I call again, and the dispatcher says a car's on it's way, and should be about 30 minutes. We wait and wait and wait again, and I call for the final time - the dispatcher gives me some BS about trying to contact me, he's been calling my phone since we last spoke but I didn't pick up and he left a message - neither happened, my phone never rang and no message was left. What he wanted to tell me though, was that the drivers had been dispatched to Springfield (or somewhere) again, and no car could come get us for another hour and half. I flipped my shit with this cretinous waste of matter, this (as Shakespeare says) "tedious fool "..... "who speaks an infinite deal of nothing" and hung up. Tried calling around other cab companies, but it was now 11.30pm on a Sunday. Now feeling very stranded, and with no clue what to do, our waitress comes to our rescue and offers to give us a ride back on her way home. Never, ever use this company, it's fit only for transporting college kids filled with liquor and ready to vomit. I hope they do. read more

I used to love them. Cheapest prices, etc. But, twice now Ive called them for a taxi and theyve just not showed up. I tried to call, no answer. Now, I almost always tip the driver and I help with directions. Im far from a bad customer. As fas as Im concerned, they have serious issues with loyalty. read more

I've had a lot of trouble getting cabs in Western Mass, especially from places like Leverett & Turner's Falls. I called Aaron's Transportation to make a reservation on Saturday night for early Sunday morning. Steve from Aaron's Transportation was on time, and he called me to let me know he was outside. He knew where he was going, and got me there in a timely manner. I appreciated Steve's friendly professionalism and arriving at my destination with plenty of time to spare. I know who I'll be calling when I need a taxi in Western Mass. Relieved to finally have a reliable option when I don't have a car. read more

The driver was creepy. I took the van/cab from Smith College to Hampshire College. Made weird comments belittling me and my friends, calling us "girls" repeatedly - we are women in our twenties. Once we clearly showed we weren't interested in his small talk, he drove recklessly, tail gating the car in front of us, and braking multiple times. He also kept making erratic, violent movements with his hands, which were bandaged. I wish I knew what his name was. Literally about to call the cops, so freaked out. Oh, also the van is child-locked and doesn't open from the inside, so unless the driver decides to let you out you're stuck. Don't use this company, use the extra money for any other Noho cab company. read more

I would give them ZERO stars but that wasn't an option. I was very clear I needed a taxi for six people with luggage to the airport. The driver showed up 15 minutes later than stated and there were only five seats available due to a driver in training and there was no room for luggage. USE A DIFFERENT TAXI SERVICE. read more

Do not EVER use this taxi service - EVER! Called for a pick up at the Hampshire Mall in Hadley today around 3pm. Estimate was 15 minutes. It's 4:40pm and they have not arrived yet. I called back at 3:30 and supposedly the driver was on their way. Yeah right. Ok, apparently the first car got rear-ended on the way to get me. I hope everyone is ok. However, my second call to them was at 3:55pm to which they said that the driver was enroute to get me. I'm not sure where he was driving from because it sure doesn't take 45 minutes to get to the mall from anywhere in Hadley. Like I said, don't ever use this taxi service - ever! read more

At 7:15am on Wednesday February 11, 2014 my ladyfriend called Aarons for a 4-mile (15/20 mins) one-way ride to her workplace where she was to start work at 8:00am. The dispatcher informed her that the taxi would arrive in 15 minutes. 7:30am came, but no taxi, so I called to inquire for her as to when the taxi will arrive, and the dispatcher replied, "He's on his way right now, hon." The taxi arrived well past 8:ooam and dropped her off at her workplace at 8:30am, thus causing her to lose 30 minutes of pay. She had paid $15 for that ride (Go Green charges $12.50 but was unavailable), and--of course--the driver will keep his job. My ladyfriend and I decided that there would be no point in complaining, verbally or in writing, to the dispatcher, for we knew that nothing would be done to improve service, such as calling the customer to inform that the taxi will be late, so that the customer can decide to wait, or cancel the pick-up request, and find alternative transportation. So much for "world class service" ! Never again shall my ladyfriend or I call Aarons, and we will urge our friends, family members, and co-workers to call Aaron's competitors FIRST ! read more
