Initial clean up was ok, they accommodated for doing it over multiple visits since it was lot of work. so we signed up for regular service. Was paying $120 monthly service. -Kept missing obvious weeds growing in the middle of a tiled area across multiple visits. -Didn't know how to set the sprinkler system on auto and said they'll ask someone else to drop by and adjust it but no one came by. - last visit they only did 10-15 minutes of work before leaving because we were busy and didn't show them which the things needed to be tended to. read more

There is very little quality to their work. Communication with employees is incomplete. They also do not stay in touch with customers.

Super unprofessional. Billing office can't keep the billing straight, can't figure out what they have charged for and after I disputed a bill from two years ago that they had incorrect, emailed me saying they could no longer do my yard work. I've been a customer for over 10 years. The guys do the very minimum anount of work and most services I end up doing what they didn't or cleaning up what they missed. If you're looking for reliable and professional, look somewhere else. read more

I hired them to do bi-weekly maintenance on my rental property. We don't have a lawn, all they had to do was keep weeds down, blow leaves, and alert me of any irrigation problems. I dropped their services a year ago because I had quit my job. I tried to start service recently again and they sent a two man crew and spent a total of 10 minutes working on the front and back yard. They barely did anything other than aggressively cut back just three of my bushes in my back yard and did not even touch any others. I told the employees we were showing the house to buyers and it needs to be perfect. they could even bother to pick up leaves or finishing weeding around the edge of my small concrete patio. Again I made it very clear the yard needed to look "perfect." I feel like I got burned by this business. read more

I have a lot of Privets along our fences and they need trimming twice a year. Todd came out and met me at the scheduled time to talk about the work needed. He gave me advice on several areas that will make the work easier and less expensive the next time around. The day the work was scheduled, the crew was at my door on time. The crew at every encounter was polite and professional. They asked me if all looked good at the end and it did, except for a couple of tidbits they shaved off and took care of before leaving my yard very nicely trimmed and CLEAN. About the work. The guys don't just come in and blast a trimmer at all of your branches...no no no, these guys hand cut many of them for the healthiest grow back. This is about the tenth time we've cut he branches back...the first 8 times, butchers...the last two times? Surgeons. read more

Upgrading to five stars after 2.5 years of great service. You get what you pay for, and AB is a perfect example. You could probably find a cheaper gardening service but you probably wouldn't get the same level of professionalism and skill. They also do fruit tree pruning, something a lot of gardeners don't do (or don't do well). They pruned our out of control plum/apple/persimmon trees and grape vines today and the result is as I'd expect...top notch and everything was cleaned up and hauled away. read more

I emailed AB Gardening Services on Sunday, providing a general description of the work I needed to have done. I also expressed my hope that the work could be scheduled for that Friday, as I was going to be off work that day. Colette returned my call Monday morning and arranged for Todd to come the following day to scope my small project and give me an estimate. A quote was promptly emailed to me and the work was scheduled for Friday. I was impressed by this rapid response, given that it was such a small job, by their willingness to work around my scheduling needs, and by Todd's obvious concern for cost effective solutions. On Friday the crew came earlier than planned and Todd was there to personally explain to the crew what was to be done. The fellows were pleasant to have around, they did exactly what was planned, swept up all the debris, and left everything very tidy. They even spoke with the man who was coming later that afternoon to work on the drip irrigation system, so as to prep him for what he would find. Poor customer service and irrisponsbile! Their gardeners didn't show up for couple of months. I had them on auto-pay. I happened to be home for a month and noticed their absence. I stopped the auto-pay and tried to reach out to them via phone and email printed on their invoice to see what was going on, but the phone was out of service and got no response to my email. When received another invoice a month later, found another phone number off the Internet and left a message. Finally, someone returned my call. Of course, they denied receiving any emails. I forwarded them the email I had sent asking them to call me ASAP b/c I wasn't happy with the service that i didn't receive. Decided to give them a second chance. Asked for new gardeners and an estimate for a landscaping project (Spring was around the corner). Weeks passed by and no one cared to make any effort to address those two requests. Called and emailed them again and asked them to make sure everything was canceled. Got another invoice from them with a total amount for 3 months of service and a note saying that I would face collections if I didn't pay. Called them to see why I should pay for the service I never received. Both Todd and the office manager ignored everything I said, yelled at me (literally), and accused me of lying and being rude (!!??). Not sure how not taking responsibility for their failure and yelling at me for confronting them with facts made me the rude one. But anyways, I'm done with them and I hope this review helps you with your decision. read more

We have been using AB Gardening services for more than an year and we are very satisfied with their services. We have a fairly large garden with mature landscape consisting in a variety of plants: boxwood hedges, trees, busses, over 20 roses, azaleas, and lots of agapanthus. All these are served by a rather complex irrigation system. We are the type of customer with "particular" requests. Colette always made sure that my wishes are fulfilled. I change the schedule based on the season or have problems with the irrigation system - she promptly responded and always deliver beyond my satisfaction.
