I've used AB moving several times over the past 6-7 years or so. They were recommended to me through a friend. This is my 4th move with them and I am beyond disappointed. I spent over $600 on a move for a one bedroom and some kitchen items. Nothing else. The damaged my furniture, they didn't wrap everything nor handle it with care. I watched them drop a new tower fan in front of me and pick it up like nothing happened, not even an apology. They were given instructions on what to take from my garage. All bedroom furniture. I pointed it out and I told them, we are not taking this twin size mattress or that recliner. All the other furniture is going. I had some monitors attached to my desk. They removed it without saying anything and placed my monitors still attached to the stand on the floor. When they said they were done I did a quick sweep to make sure they got everything. I asked about the monitors and they said they couldn't take them, understandable but they had no intention on letting me know? Towards the end of the move one of the movers asked to use my restroom I said it was fine. He was in there 15-20 minutes. While the other 2 movers were still moving. Once he left the restroom there was another 20 minutes left of work he disappeared. So I'm not sure why I even the paid for a 3rd worker who did partial work. I tipped them anyways because it was hot and I lived on the 3rd floor, I felt bad they had to move me even though I was paying for the service. They left everything seemed okay at the time. I had a mirror that went with my dresser and they didn't install it. I couldn't find the mirror anywhere. When I went back to my old house a few days later they conveniently tucked it behind the twin size mattress I asked them to leave. Which it had not been there when they arrived. The pieces to the mirror to install they HID under my bed after putting it together, which is still there! I'm so upset about my dresser and the damaged they caused to it and they didn't even bother to tell me. They told me there were already scratches at the beginning of the move which there were but they were minor and faint. The damaged they caused was not minor. For $600 and the small amount of furniture everything should have went by like a breeze. Also when I initially scheduled the movers I told them I am a repeat customer if they could offer a discount. The lady quoted me 158 an hour for 3 men. She said they could charge me 138 since I was a repeat customer. She sent me an email/contract on the phone and told me to sign. I said the rate says 158? She said oh yes I'm going to have them apply the discount, I'll let them know. Me working with them in the past I took her word for it. When it came time to pay the movers, they told me the rate was 158 an hour. I explained they told me the rate should have been applied. The movers told me they can't apply any discounts, so.. I took his word and paid the rate and said it's okay I'll call customer service to have to fix the situation. I called and they said they were escalating my issue and would have someone get back with me. Well it's a month and a half later and I've heard nothing. I'll be searching for a company who's a little more honest and reliable my next move. It's extremely disappointing because I've used them for so long and given business through family and friends. Terrible experience. Do not use. They packed up dirty sheets and my stuff has mold. They charged me for paper to wrap things like my dog's rubber balls but didn't wrap actual valuables. I was recovering from hip surgery and had limited oversight. I was overcharged and taken advantage of. read more

The only positive thing about them is that they arrived right on time and had a huge truck! Very disappointing. They were rough with my things even the ones that had fragile on it, They couldn't get my couch out, and they damaged the wall trying to maneuver out. he insisted that I needed a three man team to get the couch out the balcony and that I was lying to him that only 2 people moved it in through the front door. They did a terrible job in stacking the boxes, bins, and the rest of the furniture. I called the next day and they kept pushing me off and finally after all day of trying to talk to the mgr, I finally did, and they were going to charge me another fee and hr rate to come move the couch. He was trying to work out a discount, and was supposed to call the next morning but I have not heard from the since. Through Facebook a friend of a friend had their moving company, they came out and moved it for free to my storage and got the couch out the front door the first time. Will never never us this company again. Also spent almost $200 more than expected because they were so slow. read more

You get what you pay for! I've now used AB twice for my moves and will never use another moving company outside of AB (hopefully the next time I'm within their area, not that I plan on moving anytime soon). Are they the cheapest company in town? Probably not, but what they are is efficient, professional and extremely careful at everything they do. If you care about your belongings like I do, then you need to hire them. They blanket and shrink wrap (Yes! This takes time, but well worth it) everything and ensure your goods deliver the same way they were taken. I choose to pay by the hour and would gladly do it again. They were extremely efficient and at no time did I feel like the crew was taking advantage of that. AB must stand for Awesomely Badass, because that's how this move went. The men did not inventory the furniture, therefore furniture was left on the truck. When checking the truck, there was furniture which did not belong to me and I was not able to see behind it. They did not wrap the furniture in plastic, only using blankets, therefore two antique pieces were damaged. They did not know how to reassemble tongue and groove furniture; nor did they reassemble the sleep comfort bed correctly, leaving it lumpy. There were white paint marks on the furniture where they had bumped into the woodwork. There were scratches on the leather furniture. There were handprints on the wood furniture which can not be removed. They reduced the moving fees slightly when problems were pointed out. However, they did not disclose that by reducing the moving fees, insurance would no longer be an option. They said nothing. Many photos and detailed descriptions of damage were submitted to the insurance department. The insurance department responded that insurance would not apply as the customer had been given a meager discount, therefore the insurance was waived. The crew seemed to be in an extreme hurry as they said they were hoping to be able to pick up an afternoon job. If you have fine furniture, you will want to select another moving company. The experience was a disaster. read more

Worst experience ever with a moving company customer service. I scheduled this move a month in advance because I wanted a early appointment due to the hot July weather and to miss traffic, also sent them an email list of all my furniture minus some boxes. My allotted time was 8am - 10 am they arrived at 9:45AM. The 2 guys showed up put a boxed futon I ordered online on the truck and a bench from the end of my bed came back and said all the rest of mr furniture will not fit on our 16ft truck and he showed me a email I supposedly sent them of my items. I then showed him a updated email I sent them in June which had everything and he told me I needed a bigger truck so the customer care and scheduled a bigger truck and 3 men for the same day but at 1-4pm. It was clearly their mistake they are the professionals, if the would have suggested from my list of items that a bigger truck was needed I would have, but I do not know truck sizes. So they arrived around 345 and immediately start calling the manager and supervisor to see if I could get a discount since it was their mistake and each person gave me the run around and I still have not heard anything. This happened Thursday July 29th and I still have not heard back from anyone.So basically a $600 moving bill turned into $800 due to an hour sitting in traffic. This company truly scammed me never again will I use them nor Friends and family. read more
