Both times I received good service, but today when I had John help me out, he was able to explain the way paint settles on surfaces and how to possibly pick out the color we want to get. John was awesome with how he helped me get towards the color we're looking for. When picking out a color for the outside of your house it can be tricky. The colors don't always look like they do when you're looking at them online or even at the sample they have on paper when you're at the store too. Dunn Edwards puts out quality paint and excellent customer service too. When buying paint the quality matters and getting the help you need does too.

The worker who was on staff at the time was helpful without being intrusive and we were able to select a good primer and an appropriate roller. I appreciate that he gave us the tip of making sure the stucco was dry for at least a couple of days before painting, as we'd hoped to paint soon before it started raining but the stucco probably wasn't quite dry enough (and it's been raining off and in ever since, so it may be a while before we can make use of what we got). Perhaps it is a function of not having to weigh across multiple brands, but it did seem like they were able to determine a suggested product a bit faster than we'd get a suggestion from like Home Depot or Lowe's etc.

I narrowed down my choice to about 3 colors but wanted to find out the undertone in each, so thought knowing the colorant that goes in each will help me choose the color better. Today 3.28.25 at 420PM, I called to ask some simple questions about the colorants in the 3 colors. The lady who picked up the phone was the rudest person I have encountered in my 40 years in the bay area. She was very adrupt and told me 3 times that to ask any question, I would have to come to the store. I was so surprised. I told her that I have received better customer service at Home Depot which is just a Big Box Store. I thought a small specialized store like CentriHouse will be more customer friendly. She yelled, "Then you can go to Home Depot" and banged the phone down on me. I am just so surprised! Wow. How is this lady even working here? Was she chosen for her great customer service and interaction? Because of her extreme rudeness, I give her -10 stars. For the 2 gentlemen, I give 5 /5 stars. I am an older person with severe arthritis. Its not easy for me to hop into a car to go to the store to ask just a few questions. She cd hv said,"I am waiting on customers right now. Could you hold? After I take care of them, I will help you". But no. She just yelled from the beginning that if you have ANY questions at all, YOU JUST HAVE TO COME TO THE STORE. Went to get price estimate to replace left-over paint from contractor that had purchased from…read moreanother store. I showed the 'clerk' the s-wiliams 1-gal can, and she said: "We don't have that brand". I pointed to "Sherwin-Wiliams" printed on can, no response. Then tried another approach by asking her the price of the paint. She replied she can't tell me, that I would have to contact the store that's on the label on the can. The label is from another S-W Store. "What the Heck?" Not being able to reason with her, due to her limited "Customer Service Ability to adequately explain herself, I left disappointed in her lack of care. Got home, called the phone # on the can, turns out to be store in is in Sunnyvale. Told my story to the polite gentleman on the phone, and was able to get a $ price! He couldn't understand why the Mtn View store couldn't serve me. Bottom line.....Don't go to Mtn View store where they are "Customer Service Challenged" .Go to Sunnyvale, where customer service seems to mean something.

It is all between half to 75 off. At this point it is way cheaper than Ikea junk and better quality. I have a real hang up with patio furniture. It has to fit the space and I don't like real wood and I don't like glass and I don't like it when the chairs don't tuck under the table completely when not in use and I don't like it when you need cushions that you have to store in the winter to make them comfortable. I can never find exactly what I want - I didn't this time either - but at the prices they were giving this stuff away for I filled up my truck and went back twice. I put my new table and chairs together quick and it was painless. It makes such a big difference in enjoying my front patio and back balcony. My back balcony has rather tall railings - so I always wanted a bar height situation so I could look over the railing when seated - so now I have that. My geraniums hanging plants I like more than I ever could have thought. I can have a garden full of flowers but when I'm sitting in my living room or every time I walk through the front door these are what I focus on and constantly admire. I might put a few flower boxes in under the window. People in Germany do that often - I will have to build them myself as the exact fitment of them and size I obsess over. I will be back for a few fence posts and see if I can make that happen. Home Depot will have everything I need to do it.

I always hear about BM Aura and that it is the best paint on the planet. Well, it was time to put it to the test! As I walked into the paint store I was pleasantly greeted by James C. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, and he also helped me create an account with them. I discussed my project with James, and he helped me decide on a sheen, mixed up a can of Swiss Coffee/Aura in a Satin finish, and it was a wrap. After laying down a few coats on my walls, I have to say that the quality of BM paint is on a different level. Be prepared to pay a few extra bucks, but also be ready to see your walls come to life! I used to think that paint is paint. Not anymore!
