Got some new Geranium bright pink hanging flowers and some new patio furniture for my upstairs deck and front porch. This is the best time to get new patio furniture. It is all between half to 75 off. At this point it is way cheaper than Ikea junk and better quality. I have a real hang up with patio furniture. It has to fit the space and I don't like real wood and I don't like glass and I don't like it when the chairs don't tuck under the table completely when not in use and I don't like it when you need cushions that you have to store in the winter to make them comfortable. I can never find exactly what I want - I didn't this time either - but at the prices they were giving this stuff away for I filled up my truck and went back twice. I put my new table and chairs together quick and it was painless. It makes such a big difference in enjoying my front patio and back balcony. My back balcony has rather tall railings - so I always wanted a bar height situation so I could look over the railing when seated - so now I have that. My geraniums hanging plants I like more than I ever could have thought. I can have a garden full of flowers but when I'm sitting in my living room or every time I walk through the front door these are what I focus on and constantly admire. I might put a few flower boxes in under the window. People in Germany do that often - I will have to build them myself as the exact fitment of them and size I obsess over. Moved to this area three months ago, but I've been taking my kids to the workshops for over two years now. Would have been our third time being at this location we register registered for today. Got there at 12:30 only to find out that they finished at 12 but usually they are done after 1. I was so irritated because we registered and I'm not sure how they would run out if people who are registered haven't shown up yet? Why wouldn't they save theirs? Delivered the wrong product for an online order and then insisted I come in to process a refund I didn't even ask for. I was highly inconvenienced because not only did I not get what I ordered, I had to call customer service to arrange for them to pick up this giant pile of boards I didn't order form my driveway and then go in person to the store for the return. This was NOT my local store, so it was an hour of driving just to help Home Depot process their own mistake. This was an ONLINE order, but they couldn't take my info over the phone or anything reasonable. I had to go in person to an inconvenient location to help them fix their mistake. They should have dealt with it internally with someone higher up who could authorize the refund not continue to inconvenience me. [[ Kids Workshop Review ]] Every 1st Saturday (or sometimes even more), Home Depot offers a Kids Workshop for free to build something which they list on their website. For October 2025 it was the Haunted Candy Box. It was our first time doing it so I wanted to give a detailed review and some things I noticed when I went. 1.) Workshop location is OUTSIDE of home depot on the right hand side. I attached a picture to show the location. 2.) Although you have to register on the website beforehand, the event is relatively chaotic and they do not check. I think they get a set amount of kits and they just hand it out until they run out. 3.) When we arrived at 9am, the event wasn't set-up and a bunch of parents with their kids were watching the setup. I don't think they finished until maybe around 9:15am (setting up tables, getting the materials, kits, etc.) 4.) No Aprons available which was a huge bummer. Not sure why the didn't have any. Maybe Home Depot does not ship these aprons in advance and it's whatever is left-over from previous events. 5.) The Tables themselves are pretty tall and I think 3-5 year olds may be able to work on them a bit easier. If your kid is on the smaller side or younger, they may not be able to reach the table. I've seen other parents bring their own miniature table so their kid can work on the craft. 6.) Some parents just showed up and took kits to work on it at home which is not a bad idea in case you don't want to do it there. Overall, I think it's not too bad for a free event but I wish they were more prepared for it. One employee was also very rude at the event we went to and seem annoyed we were asking questions like "Where is the apron?" or "Do you have anymore hammers or screwdrivers?". She would just answer "No" and that was it. Ironically the younger employees were nicer and went to get more tools for us which made her interaction even worse. read more

August 22, 2026 This review is specifically for the customer service in the blinds/flooring area. We came to Home Depot around 11:30-11:45 AM to purchase a blinds kit that needed to be cut to size. When we asked for help, the female employee told us they could only cut replacement blinds, not the kit. When we asked for an alternative, she simply pointed and told us to buy a saw. Seriously? I am currently injured and was visibly walking very slowly with a noticeable limp. There was no effort to offer another solution or provide helpful customer service. What made it worse was that their area was not busy at all at the time. Please train your staff to be more considerate and helpful. You never know how much effort it takes someone just to get to your store, only to be treated this way. 5 stars to the customer service team at the front, who were very kind and helpful despite being extremely busy. Shout out to Aidan! I needed a voltage tester and multi meter that were locked up. Nobody in the aisles, so I asked Aidan at the pro desk / cust service if he could get someone to open up and get what needed. He paged, and nobody shows up. A few minutes later Aidan sees me still standing there and asks what i need. He opens up the cage and then cashiers me. It wasnt his job, but he solved my peoblem. Home Depot is one of those places that you can spend a lot of time looking around for what you need. Many times it's hard to get help from the employees because their so busy. I highly recommend downloading and using their app to help you find what you're looking for as an alternative for asking for help. Just type it in and you'll get aisle and bay location probably quicker than asking an employee. If you do get an employee, they are very friendly, but not always the best to help you find your stuff. Today, I did ask someone where alternative items were located for what I had already found, and she pointed me to where I ultimately found what I wanted. I appreciate about this place the local proximity to my home, the selection, I know who the Pros are to get expert help and they also recognize veterans with a 10% discount. read more

While we were trying to get things all settled at our home, we needed a bunch of stuff like garden tools, ant baits, insect sprays, garden gloves, etc. We probably went to this Home Depot a lot. During COVID, it was a little stressful because people would not stay away 6ft. So it's really up to you to be on the defense. They have a large parking lot so it's fairly easy to find parking. Same general area as REI in Fremont. There were hand sanitizers at the entrance which is nice. But other than that, you're on your own. You can't rely too much on the "in stock" info on the website which is rarely right, so make sure to call in to make sure you don't take an unwanted trip. This has happened to us on a couple occasions. You'd figure we'd learn from the first time! Otherwise, you can usually find any kind of "home" type of items to help spiff up, clean, paint, or do anything with the home. read more

The 4 stars is for the paint department in general. The 4 stars is because I found that the samples of very light paint colors are off from the real color - Perhaps this is a Behr issue. Behr needs to fix this issue. However, for employees Roman, Nick and Tosh, I give 5 STARS. They are extremely helpful if you go at a time when its not super super busy. So If I have lots of q about colorants etc in the color, or want a color tweaked, I go on a weekday afternoon. They have very patiently answered my questions and I thank them for it. I hope HD management recognizes how helpful they are. read more

Beware buying an appliance from Home Depot. Saw a refrigerator on sale in the Fremont store I liked. Later, at home I went online and made the purchase. Delivery was not possible for the home which was vacant, until three weeks later. Since I was not contacted by phone prior to delivery, a person doing home repairs at the home signed and accepted delivery on a Friday. When I arrived at the house the following Monday, I found the refrigerator sitting on the kitchen floor unpacked. Unfortunately, the appliance was just too big to fit the refrigerator space so the delivery company just left it sitting there. When I contacted Home Depot, I was told I was out of luck and was stuck with it. If anybody signs for the appliance, you have just two days to request an exchange or return, or its your bad luck and you are stuck with it. read more

All right, it's easy to rip on this place! I don't think I've ever reviewed a Homie Depot because usually it's not worth my time to write a review. I'm making an exception in this case. I rented a pressure washer and a concrete washer. Easy process to get the items and get into my truck. Both items worked the first day, the next day the pressure washer didn't work. Rolled in with the pressure washer, wasn't happy. The exchange was done quickly without question and the rental time was credited. The store is huge, thousands & thousand of items. This is the nearest Home Depot to my home. Coming here for years now. Normally walks in, find the aisle, locate the item needs and checkout. It's been smooth all the time. Last week I was there for a specific item. The website said it's available in the store, but I couldn't locate it. While I was trying to find it, a staff approached me asking whether I need any help. I showed the aisle details on the website. But even he couldn't find it. So my only option was to go to the Milpitas store. While I was walking out, the same staff approached me again and told that it's actually on a different aisle, due to some recent changes. He walked with me to the aisle and showed me where it is kept. I truly appreciate the home depot staff for the excellent customer service. That really saved me a lot of time and energy. Great experience. The store is as big as any Home Depot stores. Huge parking lot. It's always self-check out. Smooth and easy. Beware!!! Don't buy appliances here. Was told by customer care team over the phone during the week to go in store and ask for a manager on duty with a specific code to return a dish washer. I show up on a Sunday driving from south San Jose and talk to the team and the manager Amanda does not come out yet the service team upfront (they are awesome) gives me a print out says no returns. It's experience's like this that make me only shop on Amazon being further cemented. Sure glad I'm a Lowes share holder. Hands down will never buy anything ever again from Home Depot. I stopped in to check out some plants and decided to browse around the store. To my surprise, this store let people in from both the garden center and the main entrance. It was a little different than other Home Depot stores during Covid as the other stores counted how many people entered through a single entrance. I couldn't find a very good selection of trees at this store, but did find some cactus plants as well as some nice houseplants that were on sale for the after Christmas sale. There was also a good selection of seeds so I picked up a bunch of seeds to get an early start for next season. read more

This review is only for my interaction with the customer service desk. I was behind a customer paying for an item. The cashier rings him up, then says something to another cashier, walks away and she then proceeds to ring him up. Customer was like uhhh, I already paid for it. Here's the receipt. Not sure what happened there. My one star is for the rudeness that is Shannon. She should not be working with customers. I understand everyone is desperate for workers but geez. I went in to pay on our company account with a company check. She proceeds to tell me I've never seen a check like this. Okay I'm sorry you don't know what checks look like but I've been in here plenty of times and other clerks were able to process my company checks with no problem. She was able to process it after I pointed out the check number, routing number, and bank account info on the check.
