So we finally bought our first house and for obvious safety reasons needed all the doors re-keyed. I searched trusty Yelp and came across Abba Locksmith. The lady who answered the phone was very friendly and gave me a breakdown of the fees involved. On the scheduled day, Rob was on time and ready to get started. I should have checked my house a little better because I initially thought I only needed 2 locks when in fact it was 6. He was excellent in getting all the locks done in a timely manner and even gave me a discount. Well I have read the other reviews of people giving them high marks for their jobs. Mine was 10 dead bolts that needed to be rekeyed by the next day. Mind you I sent ABBA a message through Yelp for a quote. Not only did I get the best quote than the others, I got Pete Escobar (retired Vet) out at my house at 9:00AM the next day! He was finished way before I thought he would and the quote never changed!! In the past I have had other locksmiths come up with excuses to raise the price. ABBA was very responsive and accommodated my schedule. I called mid-morning for an afternoon appointment to get a mailbox lock replaced. My schedule was tight, but they worked with me and even showed up early to resolve the problem. Although the quote was a bit more expensive than the postal service, they were able to come within a few hours vs over week that the postal service quoted me. I would recommend them due to the fact that they have a fast response time and had everything needed to fix the lock. It only took 45 minutes and we were all on our way. I had a great experience with Abba Locksmith last night after locking myself out of my house. The response time was about 45 min. I have to give the guy credit, my Great Dane was occasionally barking and pawing at the door while he was working on it, but he wasn't fazed. The lock was uncooperative so he had to drill it out, the overall work time was about 20-25 min. I got a pretty great discount which was pretty awesome. read more

Called on a Saturday to get three locks replaced since we just purchased a home. Rob offered to call if he could squeeze us in on Saturday - he couldn't make it but it was fine. So, as promised, he shows up on Sunday with a colleague. This is ENTIRELY above the call of locksmith duty since we are now a quarter of the way through the football season and he showed up while his team was playing. (I would give 10 stars for that alone if it were possible.) They replaced keys for 3 doors and were in and out in less than an hour and no one was hurt - bad ass. I felt the cost was very reasonable considering how fast, efficient and personable they both were. Thanks to a rambunctious German Shepherd I found myself locked out of a clients home. (I'm a pet sitter. Dogs inside alone = bad thing!) Called Monday before Thanksgiving, and they were able to schedule me the Friday after Thanksgiving for 12:00-2:00. About 12:00 on Friday, I received a call that they would not be able to make it, and asked if I could re-schedule for the next day. I was initially frustrated as I had planned my Friday around them coming and had plans for Saturday, but I was able to make my schedule work. They arrived just before 12:00. I had hoped they could repair the one bad lock, but no such luck and it needed to be replaced. Luckily, not all doors needed to be re-keyed. Overall 20-minute job and cheaper than highest price originally quoted. read more

This is the second time I've used Abba. Rob did a fantastic job rekeying 3 locks. He was right on time for my appointment, calling me 15 minutes before arriving. Originally I asked him to rekey one door, but then thought about problems with 2 other doors which he also made time to do. Some of my doors have never worked right, but they do now after Rob fixed them. The job included more than rekeying - fixing deadbolts, etc. I'm very happy with the results! read more
