A group of 6 of us visited Abbale' for dinner on a Sunday night (Memorial Day weekend), sitting at one of the outdoor tables. Our server was great! Very helpful and he explained all the dishes and was a good advocate for the restaurant. We had two gluten free diners in our party, one with celiac, and our sever and Chef handled it well and adopted as best they could. We tried a lot of different dishes. The salatim trio, the persian cucumber, and steak shawarma hummus & pita (one of everyone's favorites) were all great. The local fish ceviche was very good as was the feta & pistachio. For main meals we tried the branzino (2). Also the braised beef short rib was excellent (hearty and moist) and the double cut lamb chop was cooked perfectly. A South Beach restaurant for foodies not (just) tourists! Amazing food, amazing service, amazing vibe. The Persian Braised Bone-In Beef Short Rib with its pomegranate-red wine jus and apricots exceeded my high expectations! The Prime Steak Shashlik was lovely. The Moroccan Cigars were the surprise of the evening, always order these! I ordered a trio of Roasted Beets, Whipped Feta and Pistachio, Walnut (from the 7 options available) and the Pistachio is my clear favorite. Great service, beautiful salad, and the best dips ever. Came for a late lunch and we split 3 dips (comes with pita), and a fattoush salad with protein. We found this restaurant on a whim after shopping In Aventura Mall, and loved it so much we had to return a few more times!

We came here for dinner over the week. The staff greeted us and we sat outside in their lovely patio for our reservation. My friend ordered a beer and I got their Passion Margarita which they had to sub with vermouth as they were out of agave (?), weird. It didn't taste the best and was ok. For food, we shared the Salatim trio dip of Babaghanoush, Muhammara, and Whipped Feta and Pistachio with pita. The dips were so delicious, we loved them. We also got the Ahi Tuna Tartare mezze, Pan Roasted Double Cut Lamb Chops entree, and Fire Roasted Carrots side. The tuna tartare was fresh and the lamb was tender and had a great charred flavor. It was plenty of food for the both of us and all so good. Overall, the service was ok and so were the drinks. The food was the highlight for us here. read more

Our first time visiting this place -- Pricy , but of course Miami Beach prices , but that is not the issue- we loved the food, service, and atmosphere, UNTIL ..... Although throughout the service we mentioned several times that we are Jewish American and one Israeli, the server, at the end, couldn't help herself and had to show her pro‑Palestine side and saying her piece about Zionism. She completely ruined a perfect night- I am not sure if I'll go back to this place just to be scolded for being a Zionist. Great experience! It is hard to find Israeli food anywhere in the US. This is actually our fray into trying cuisine that claims to be based on the delicacies from Tel Aviv. And it was good. They have a special menu for dinner, being $45 for a 3 course meal per person. We consider it pretty good value. For starters, we had the hummus with grilled mushrooms, the local fish ceviche and the garlic bread Frena. All three were fantastic for the palette. The hummus was the smoothest I have had, both the pita and the Frena were flavorful and fresh out of the oven. The fish ceviche was delightful. Our mains were lamb kefta and the sumac lemon chicken shashlik. These were actually the weakest parts. They were good but I have had similar dishes before of comparable qualities in a few other restaurants. The desserts more than made up for it. The coconut malabi and the coffee affogato were great, being delightful without being too sweet. Our server was funny and informative. The meal came with a mandatory 18% gratuity which we felt justified. The ambiance was classic and intimate. We do recommend this place for your future south beach outings. read more

Went here for the first time recently and was so impressed! Our waitress was such a sweetie, the restaurant was beautiful inside and out (loved all of the plants!) and the food was bangin. The service was extremely disappointing. Our waiter, Martin, was inattentive and did not check on us at any point during the meal. I ordered a drink that was never delivered, and my food arrived significantly late--after my boyfriend had already finished his meal. After we finished eating, we requested the dessert menu, but Martin took over 20 minutes to bring it. By that time, we were ready to leave. We then asked for the check and experienced yet another delay of more than 20 minutes. During this time, I noticed that Martin did not appear to be busy, as he was standing and conversing with the hostess. Eventually, my boyfriend had to go inside himself to request the check. Have been loyal customer at the south beach location due to incredible food and mocktails. Made a reservation for 6 people a few weeks ago for April 12th for Passover as my parents were coming to town. When we arrived, they immediately told us they were sold out of Passover experience and we have to order a la carte, to which we agreed. Then they attempted to seat us at elevated tucked away table near the kitchen exhaust or some sort of giant AC unit that was making loud noise that was not possible to have normal conversation with your family. When we asked to be reseated the host claimed everything else outside was booked for Passover (which we were there for too!) It was half empty outside, but they would not seat us. Offered us a table inside that had no people, was cramped and was freezing cold. We left and had to scramble to go elsewhere last minute for Passover. What an incredibly disappointing experience for the high Jewish holidays from a place that I truly loved No apologies, no manager on duty. Pure chaos. read more

We had a friend recommend this to us. The service was excellent and it was a cute, very intimate setting, but I was underwhelmed by the food. We had the Salatim (muhammara, babaganoush, charred anion tahini, fire baked pita) with a side order of the Fire Roasted Za'Atar Laffa. The tahini and babaganoush were fresh and flavorful, but the muhammara was super salty. Our favorite part of the entire meal was the Laffa. I had the whole Branzino which was decent, but dry and lacking seasoning. I'd asked if it was completely deboned incorrectly assuming that meant without the head or tail. My poor fiancé was a little freaked out by the fish eyes Fiancé had the PERSIAN BRAISED BONE-IN BEEF SHORT RIB ($55 pomegranate-red wine jus. apricots. fennel-radish slow) and it was SO SALTY it was almost unpalatable. He only ate a few bites and left the rest. It was a special and reminded me of something I'd eat in Israel. The falafel was good, so was the shakshuka. Although my favorite was probably the chicken. Abba's Breakfast was also really good. Went back to Abbale for the last time. The slow service, the nickel and diming for every little thing, and the unfriendliness of staff was annoying. Starting with service - we couldn't start with the salatim and were asked to place the full order at once, which was fine, however she (the server) didn't come check on us for the next 10 minutes. This is likely due to the fact that she spent that 10 minutes chatting an another table. The restaurant doesn't have filtered water which is disappointing, but fine. The portions were on the smaller side. Hot sauce was brought, up charge of $4 added. One tiny pita was also brought, up charge of $5 was added. We left with a hostess standing over us with menus in hand ready to seat the next party, no goodbye thank you as we left. Wish I spent my $350 and hour and a half elsewhere. read more

I'm not sure why I thought taking my besties here for brunch to celebrate their wedding Anniversary would be a hit or miss even after reading all the positive reviews but the choice was nothing short of perfect. First of all let me give the well deserved flowers to Martinique, the absolute best server we've interacted with as of late. She was so welcoming, accommodating, helpful and went above and beyond to make this brunch date special for my friends and I. Won't get into details but after having a "not so positive" interaction with the host at the door and end up seating inside after I requested and outside table, Martinique turned the experience the other way around to a positive and memorable one, she is HER. So after getting comfortable outside, which is a gorgeous space with the right vibes and aesthetic, we started with some limonanas and stuck with those for the rest of the meal because talk about a refreshing drink that also packs a hell of a punch. Now we ordered a LOT of food so I'm not gonna break it all down but everything was phenomenal. Dishes that stood out and I recommmed are...crunchy cauliflower that would turn a carnivore like me, vegan. You couldn't tell me this was not chicken; The Shakshuka with ricotta cheese on top to die for; Steak and eggs that were some of the best I've tasted in a while; Grouper ceviche of the day was impeccable; Masabacha and those addictive Jerusalem bagels were perfect together and last, for dessert...Lemon-olive oil pistachio cake, pistachio ice cream and baklava with pistachio ice cream. We ended up taking some food home which my besties love to do so I was proud for picking a good restaurant that they enjoyed and loved as much as they did. Sunday at 10am with my friend and his family ( 2 little boys ). We took a chance and sat outside despite the expected rain . While the inside looks cute, the outdoors is more cozy and perfect when you have kids who want to be able to walk around . The food was unbelievable. After spending almost a week in miami ( downtown , brickell and Miami Beach ), it's nice to have a different cuisine for a change ( there's a phlethora of modern Asian ). The entrees are a good portion but because I love the food , we decided to order additional items ( we shared the apps ) and a spinach / feta burek. The crisp cauliflower was so tasty, nice and crispy. We both ordered shakshuka with feta. Our server recommended adding Lamb kofta so we added it to one. Wow! Best decision. It was absolutely delicious! We didn't leave a morsel on our plates. As a side dish we shared the homemade chips. They were fresh, crisp and full of flavor. If there was an award for the best salad their Kale and grapefruit salad deserves it. Perfectly seasoned, their cheese as croutons a great unexpected surprise. Every bite was perfect and fresh. We also tried their lamb chops which were delicious and cooked to perfection paired with their carrots and couscous side dishes it made for a delicious dinner. The service was prompt and accommodating. The staff was sweet to our baby girl and had fun talking to her.
