I've only been to the tile side of the store, but they have always been extremely helpful in helping me get the right products I need to maintain my tile floors and granite countertops. They always tell me how to do the maintenance as well. I kind of wish I was remodeling something because they have interesting looking tile, but I am quite grateful to only have tile maintenance for now. :-) I'm glad they are here. I have found a number of beautiful tiles at reasonable prices, and the staff is friendly. But I have been frustrated with their outdated computer system- it's difficult for them to find orders in the system and difficult to get invoice receipts emailed. It seems the staff is also frustrated by this as well, because it's confusing for them to locate things in their system. read more

This Abbey carpets in Napa always stock the grout that we need. Our contractor would only use this particular grout and everywhere else needs to order it (takes weeks to get). The worst customer service ever! Went two times to the store, second time was even worse than first one. MELINDA DOWNING was rude, disrespectful and mean. The store is nice and have a variety of products but I will never go back to spend my money there. MELINDA was too rude, never smiled on the contrary. I do not expect people to be overly present to me, however, just a pleasant attitude will do it. My wife and I were in process of a major master bedroom and bathroom remodel when we went into Abbey to browse tile for the bathroom. Damien was very personable, professional resulting in an extremely pleasurable experience. My wife is not a very decisive person when it comes to decorating, so after at least a half dozen visits we progressed to the final stages of picking our tile. I can't review the tiles/carpet, other than to say it seems very high-end and niche (Expensive!). However, after buying cheap tile from Lowes, Abbey helped me immensely with everything else I would need to install the tiles in my bathroom. They have a great stock of kerdi-board products, along with everything else you'll need to complete your installation. You can also get silicone that will match your grout perfectly (However, I recommend that you only use the silicone on the vertical seams of your shower. I used 100% silicone on the horizontal areas around the tub, that I bought from Home Depot. (Abbey probably carries 100% silicone as well, but I didn't make the trip to find out). Overall, very helpful people that make high effort towards customer service. Highly recommended! read more

Melinda and Justin at Abbey always do their best to provide excellent customer service. On my most recent job, Melinda worked tirelessly to come up with a tile that would work for an accent wall I envisioned. My installation was delayed several weeks, and when the day finally arrived an issue was discovered with the tile. Melinda was out of the office, but Justin stepped in and handled the situation courteously and promptly. He expedited some replacement pieces and set them up for a "will call" so I could pick them up ASAP and keep my job on schedule. Some businesses might have held me responsible for failing to inspect the tile immediately, but Abbey simply replaced the tile without an issue. The next time I need tile or carpet I will definitely return to Abbey Carpets Unlimited. read more

Okay, so the 2 negative reviews below are subjective, I read them before I even went into the store and my experience was quite the opposite. I checked out 3 different local installers and multiple online material suppliers. The only thing I can say is maybe it was Jessie and Sharlene's own attitude??? Just thought I would throw that in. I just finished up my flooring with Abbey and couldn't be happier from start to finish. This was my first hardwood install and I spent just over $10 per sq ft in total on 1300sq ft. Leslie was my store rep, Dan Courtney was my installer and Francisco was his worker. A+/5 Stars all the way. Was done in the time frame I requested and even after, I had a question on one area and Dan came right over that day and helped me out. Great people, product and service. Highly recommend them, they will take care of your floor! read more

Not sure how to provide a review when I could not even get someone to come to my house for an estimate for wood floors. I called and requested an estimate and they said someone would call me. He called a few days later and said he would be here Saturday midday. Waited all day and he never showed up - he finally called on Sunday to reschedule with no real excuse. Rescheduled for the next Saturday morning. He called and said he would be here in 20 minutes - never showed up and called and left a voice mail 3 hours later when I had already left the house. Never heard from him again. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. Called another place and they were here the next day. read more

I have bought products from Abbey on a couple of occasions and found them vey helpful and nice to deal with. However my latest discussion with a young lady in the flooring department leaves me under impressed. I was shopping for new flooring and leaning toward LVP or SPC vinyl flooring. The salesperson advised that they have had a lot of problems with vinyl plank flooring with separation or buckling. She strongly advised against using vinyl plank flooring. My house has a consistent controlled environment so I found that curious. In any case I was directed toward using laminate flooring and not vinyl. Additionally, I mentioned that the new product would be installed over the existing glued down wood flooring. I was advised that that would not work and the existing floor should be removed. I am not convinced that I received the best advice on products and installation from this particular salesperson at Abbey and have since continued shopping elsewhere. read more

I can't say enough good things about the crew at Abbey Carpets who made our hardwood install as straightforward as it was going to get. Lisa did a wonderful job with answering my initial query, coordinating the visit/estimate, and taking care of all the administrative stuff. James Turner and his install crew (Jared and Bryan) rolled out excellent work. They completed the work on time with minimal disruption to our daily routine. This wasn't an easy update, given that we were already in the house. So we had to arrange to get most of our stuff away from the work areas and then move them back after. But we survived, and now have the hardwood floors we desired. It is simply an upgrade that we will enjoy for years to come. Thanks to Abbey Carpets for the job well done! read more

I don't know what the problem was with the Petaluma reviewer BUT, I think this place is full of awesome people. "Full of middle aged people" is a comment that reflects an ageist attitude. Debbie, who has the coolest hair, was patient, informative, helpful and all the people I encountered were extremely polite. I was well taken care of. They made great recommendations based on my budget. Today I am placing a carpet and blinds order. They have an awesome selection of tile too. Amazing. read more

All 4 rooms of my house needed new carpeting which seemed like an overwhelming project to me. Lisa and the other ladies guided me through picking out carpet samples, all with the utmost patience and great sense of humor. They assured me their crew of installers would move all the furniture from each room, tear out the old carpet and padding and install the new without a problem. Did they ever! I recently contacted the owner, Janice Clifton, about a problem with my carpet which was a couple years old. She sent someone to my home to inspect the carpet and later stated it would be replaced with no problem. I was astonished by the quick response !
