They were very helpful and friendly (and masked) when coming out to look at the place, gave us an estimate in a timely fashion, and helped us understand the best time to schedule the job, how they'd work with other folks (painters that were also doing work) and gave us tips to make the job go smoothly. You can just tell when working with home improvement people whether someone is a real pro, or whether they are out of their league, and these folks clearly knew their stuff. There were a few delays when the carpet didn't arrive all at the same time, but after checking in with me they installed what they had, super quickly, and then came back immediately when the remainder arrived and got the rest of the job done. Great place for flooring if you live in Napa County or the North Bay. We have been buying flooring for our houses in our hometown of Napa for about 30 years, but decided to obtain estimates from several of the top rated places in Vallejo this time. (Thank you, Yelp.) The two flooring places in Napa were higher priced for flooring and installation than the two places we checked in Vallejo. We also checked Home Depot which ended up being more expensive than all four of the others because of their higher installation charges. Plus they charge $50 for an estimate. All the others provided free in home measurements and estimates. Olde Towne Floors was the least expensive for material and installation. With each company I checked out what I could purchase the same material for over the Internet and Olde Town Floors had the least mark up. In fact I could not find a better price anywhere. It seemed that Olde Towne Floors was also the only one of five that did not contract out for installation of floors. Their installation fee was hundreds of dollars less than any of the others. The owner, Mike, actually met us in the store to talk to us and then was one of two persons to install our flooring. Service was great. Prices were the best. The installation was perfect. Olde Towne Floors was also really down to earth, helpful and friendly. I've already had one of my friends contact them and will certainly recommend them to others and continue to do business. From the caring and knowledgable guidance of Cinthia, helping me to choose just the right carpet and laminated tile for me to the speedy and efficient installation by Mike and his crew, this service is unbelievably good. For customer service, i have to give Olde Towne Floors five stars. I visited Olde Towne Floors looking for information on tile installation and general flooring questions. Unfortunately, they don't do tile installs, however they did have a huge showroom full of other flooring materials. Since I plan on doing some other flooring updates in the future, I decided to browse the store anyway. What really stood out for me about this store right from the beginning, more than the variety and selection, was the superb customer service. The sales lady (sorry, forget her name) was very polite, pleasant, and helpful while answering all my questions about things like material quality and source, transitioning from one floor type to another, and installation. I don't know how the hell this place got good ratings. These guys (or at least the girl answering the phones.) are rude, rude, rude. Call them up to ask a couple of questions and setup an appointment for an estimate, start having a hard time Just getting a simple answer or get an appt. I tried to be nice and cool about it but finally told the girl forget it I just couldn't deal with her attitude. She then started to talk over me after I sad said forget it so I just hung up. To bad cuz I have to get some new flooring for my house and was going to give them my business based on these Yelp reviews as well has just trying to support my local businesses. Oh well. Mike and his team have carpeted three places for me. In addition they did some carpet patching in my on a carpet that had become stained from a water leak. These guys do AMAZING work. It's funny, if I hadn't read some of the bad reviews prior to arriving at the store, I probably would have been shocked by the rudeness of the woman running this store. They had so many great reviews, I decided to chalk the bad ones up to people having a bad day. Nope, those people were right. Luckily, I don't offend easily, so I found her condescension, irritability, and disdain almost comical. I knew exactly what type of floor I was looking for, and had a brand in mind, but was open to other options if they had the look I wanted for a decent price. I walked in and explained what I wanted and she told me they only had about 4-5 options to choose from. She said they don't carry high-end flooring, because it doesn't sell in their store (fair enough) . I asked her if it could be ordered, and she did call her rep and confirmed that she could (for the record, the price she quoted was $1.00+ per square foot more than a floor store in Concord) I will save you all some disdain being directed your way by telling you that the prices are AS-MARKED on the flooring, and that they do not make price adjustments for purchasing larger quantities of their products. (That question REALLY seemed to irritate her). I was looking at the options they had available, and made a comment about the wear-layer thickness of the engineered hardwood flooring not being marked/listed on any of the products. She didn't say a single word in response, nor did she get up from her desk to help me or act like she wanted my business in any way, shape, or form. I finally had enough of her dismissive irritability and walked out. She didn't say a word as I walked past her desk and out the door. I rehab houses, and am always exploring supply options. This business will never be an option for me. $15k sale in product alone lost for her today. read more

I can't recommend this company enough. Mike and Rudy and his team were amazingly flexible! Even though they have a store, I purchased the flooring from Home Depot and they installed it without question. They did an outstanding job, superfast! I couldn't believe how fast they worked! They had to demo and even out the subfloor before installing. They did the entire house in 3 days! The estimate was right on, coming in the middle of three different quotes, even lower than Home Depot. There were no surprise costs and were very honest. I think what I loved most is their ease in customer service. Mike was the only one out of many who came to give an estimate who acted like my job was no big deal. All the other installers/contractors were making a huge deal about demoing the original parquet. Mike is obviously very experienced and knows what he's talking about. I'm a local artist in Vallejo who uses different backdrops for my Art. I stopped by Olde Towne Floors to maybe pick up some floor samples and it was the worse experience of my life. The doors are locked during business hours. If she's paranoid about the public relocate. I've never dealt with someone as rude as this woman in my life. By pass this business. Customer service sucks. One more thing. Apparently the woman who runs the business here has been accosted 3 times by the homeless. I absolutely understand her apprehension but life goes on. I'm sure me being black may have been a factor if it were black people involved in those incidents. And most of the reviews here were done by Caucasians. My advice to her is that you work with the public. Shit happens. I absolutely get taking precautionary measures with locking the doors but the look on this ladies face before even getting a word out was " what the fuck do you want". I didn't get 5 feet from the front door to even see the show room while she was on my ass. After that experience I just left. Mike and his crew removed the mexican pavers from our house so a wood floor could be put down. I have never seen any group work harder on such a difficult job. I had a wonderful experience visiting the store last June and the woman there spent a good 2 hours helping me select the perfect flooring for an entire home remodel. She was able to answer all of my questions, and a few days later I was contacted by the guy who coordinates installation. He did not follow through and delayed and I was on a tight schedule with one month of flexibility. Disappointed, I had to hire a handyman my realtor recommended instead to install wood flooring from Lowes, and paid a little less for poor quality work. We are very happy with the quality of their work and their professionalism throughout the process.
