On 2/11, I confirmed with Jesus that he would arrive between 1 and 1:30 PM--at no point did he mention that someone else would be handling the estimate. On 2/18, I took time off work and made the trip from Santa Rosa to my San Rafael property, only to be completely stood up. No one from West Coast Floor showed up, called, texted, or emailed. At 4:30 PM, I sent Jesus a message, assuming something might have happened. Despite his previous responsiveness, he never replied. On 2/19, I called the company and asked to speak with the owner--turns out, that was Jesus. I explained what had happened and asked why no one showed up. His response? "Jeff went home sick." This was news to me since I had been expecting Jesus himself. I pointed out the inconvenience, expecting any reputable business owner to immediately take responsibility and apologize. Instead, Jesus seemed aloof, only offering a half-hearted apology after I pressed him on the lack of communication. He then mentioned that they were doing a lot of "night jobs at resorts" and that their "days are short." If that's the case, why take on more work? The complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic communication is unacceptable. If you value your time and expect reliability, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. I wish I had more closely read similar reviews before wasting an entire workday with WCF, Jesus, and whoever "Jeff" is.

They showed on time with two workers who got right to work, knew exactly what to do, and how to do it, very professional, laid down covers to protect interiors, collected the waste materials carefully, installed the new vinyl floor, baseboard, installed toilet, and completed by 5:00 pm. It was like watching a find oiled machine work, plus vacuumed cleaned all work areas like new. My wife was very happy and pleased, and now everybody is happy! Thanks Alan and crew A+++ job!

They do get…read moretwo stars instead of one because they were able to get my house on the schedule before my movers came. That said, they did not do a great job with the floors. I have found gaps, a floorboard chipped, and ones that obviously just weren't laid in line with the others. I was also pretty unhappy with the quality of the floor material - but since I selected it from their options, that's on me (although they told me that they really only had one brand option which was this Cali bamboo vinyl) Photos attached. When they did my closets, the guy only came after hours and he was basically drinking the entire time. He was nice enough and did a great job on the closets, just very unprofessional. I contacted the owner Allen shortly after I had the floors done and he said he would send someone to fix them. Like I said, it's been a year and a half and I haven't heard anything.

This business came highly recommended to us, and after our experience, it is easy to see why they have such a stellar reputation. From the start, Ulysses was incredible. He helped us find a choice that met all our expectations for color, plushness, and ease of maintenance. He even allowed us to bring samples home to ensure they were exactly what we were looking for. His responsiveness was unbeatable; while other vendors (both big and local) said they'd check in "next week" for a measurement, Ulysses offered to be there in just a few hours! His character and professionalism really sold us on supporting his local business. After speaking with him about our circumstances, he offered a very competitive quote that we were happy to accept. Since they are local, you really feel that personal, residential touch. When the shipment arrived, they were quick to schedule an installation date that worked for my family. They moved our furniture and belongings with such care and finished the job with ease. We are so grateful for their help with our downstairs living space. It feels great to support a local family-run business that truly delivers better, more personal service than the "big guys." We look forward to working with them again for our upstairs! WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND ALL ABOUT FLOORS!!!

When Ulysses arrived to provide an estimate, he brought additional samples, which we were delighted to see. The selection is simply gorgeous and amazing! Our living room had old, worn-out carpet, and the new hard floor complements the adjacent family room perfectly. One thing we wish we had known earlier was to cover our furniture and the rooms next door to prevent dust from circulating throughout the house. Ulysses's team, Rick and Francisco, were professional, punctual, and experts in their field. They truly deserve major kudos! I relax and enjoy my new living room. I highly recommend that others compare different companies, conduct thorough research, and consider patronizing a local business like All About Floors.

I DO NOT recommend this place for many reasons. The Snap Crackle Pop video…read morehttps://youtu.be/9Zl4Na4wSuA shows the results of their installation of Shaw flooring. These 'pops' do not happen in isolated areas - they are all over every single room in the 1400 sq foot of our upper level. 1 - Rugworks did NOT share recommended manufacturer installation instructions with us. We purchased the wood from them, they delivered it, unpackaged it and did not share 'manufacturer recommended installation instructions'. 2 - They do not appear to be a NWFA installer. The NWFA also recommends glue assist for wide planks of over 5" as shown in this video https://youtu.be/WDsMY_sXfjc The wood that we purchased from Rugworks is well over 5" wide and glue-assist is recommended to prevent the issue that we have in the entire 2nd floor of our home. 3- ZERO post-install customer service, owner would not come to see the issue in person or propose a solution to the problem. 1 - INSTALLATION recommendation - not sharing recommended installation instructions. Rugworks installed an engineered wood floor in July 2020 which should have been glued down in addition to being nailed down due to its width. This was a 'recommendation' of the manufacturer which was NEVER presented as an option by Rugworks. If Rugworks had told us about the 'recommendation' which is also the preferred method recommended by the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) - we would have chosen that installation method. The installation instructions are "For products greater than 5" in width, it is recommended to use a combination glue down assist when using mechanical fasteners" to prevent the wood from moving and causing the problem shown in the video. The wood is 7/16" thick engineered hardwood - SW485 Castlewood Oak - 7.48 inch wide planks - way beyond the 5 inches. Post installation - We noticed that there was a lot of snap/crackle/pop - see video here https://youtu.be/9Zl4Na4wSuA We contacted Rugworks - they assured us that this would subside over 12-18 months. This did not change. We contacted them 12 months later and still have no resolution to this issue. 2 - NWFA certification - Certified installers will share the industry recommended and manufacturer recommended installation instructions. Choose a NWFA installer that reads the install instructions, and will act as a trusted advisor in sharing those with you to ensure that your installation is done to your satisfaction and does not Snap Crackle and Pop with every step. As the seller of the hardwood, and installer - Rugworks should have presented all installation options and did not present the recommended method. 3 - Follow-up customer service and ownership. I contacted their owner Jon Sevenau regarding this issue and invited him to witness the defective installation in person; and he would not come over to see it. He denied that there was any problem with the installation and offered ZERO assistance with any remediation. He mentioned that he was contacting the manufacturer - Shaw Industries - but there was no follow-up on this topic. We had a NWFA inspection and Rugworks had one also - both showed that the flooring issues were because the floor is moving, which it wouldn't be doing if glue assist had been used as recommended by the manufacturer. I would not recommend this place as a result of the issues that you see in this video https://youtu.be/9Zl4Na4wSuA which could have been avoided if they had 1 - told us about the manufacturer recommendation 2 - And, followed the manufacturer recommended method of installation.
