Abbibo: to drink or consume Looking for a new place to drink or hang out...entering the long hallway was a little confused at which way to go left or right but when I saw the line of booths on the right and went for it. Inside was a slightly dark sports-type bar. Small wood floor with a lit up red wall and podium for karaoke or a small band I could only presume. Sat down at the bar. Thought it took a little while for the bartenders to approach me but they were nice enough. Don't get me started on my fellow customers though, I'll just judge the place an service and atmosphere. The mixed drink was fine, just enough alcohol. 3-4 bright flatscreen tv's. Back and front entry, plenty of parking in the back because it's Downtown Clem. Other then that, not a bad little sports dive bar. Menu prices average from about $7-$15. $10 for the Jack n' Coke Burger. I'm curious about the food though, most nights kitchen closes at 11. From what I saw before closing though the food looked alright; Juicy wings and potato wedges. Loud crowd but I might go back at least one more time read more

This is my second time coming here for dinner. First time I had the 6oz Fillet for only $8.95. It was very delicious and came with many side choices. The second visit I had the Abbibo burger. Just came with fries, and it definitely was very filling. Had the same waitress both times and she was very friendly! Highly recommended for good food with low prices! read more

First time I've been here since the name change. We entered through the back door, no customers in the "dining area". Several servers sitting in a booth. Five customers sitting at the bar. Thought this was very odd as it was Saturday night (last night), and 930p. A pub on a Saturday night at this time should be packed! After sitting there for 5 mins, a server came to the table. We both ordered a beer, mine bottle as they didn't have Labatt light on draft. I took one sip, it was luke warm!! When the server returned about 10 mins later, I asked her to take my beer back and give me a Labatt draft. After I told her why, she developed an attitude. Ordered dinner, pulled pork sandwich and I the fish and chips. The fish was still somewhat raw inside, quite obvious the grease temperature was too high as the fish was golden brown on the outside. The waffle fries were very good (not sure if they offer a potato choice or not or french fry choice as the server offered NO options. I've never been served fish and chips from anyplace without a choice of slaw or salad. Again I wasn't asked and none was delivered with the meal. Apparently the pulled pork sandwich was very good. I should have stuck with my first choice. The server (Cassandra), sat our food on the table, walked away to sit something on an empty table, returned within 3 SECONDS, how is everything, so you need anything else? I hadn't even put salt on my waffle fries yet!! We never saw her again until she left the bill. We sat there for a good 10 minutes before she collected the money. We were going to have another beverage after dinner but decided to go someplace else for an after dinner drink. When we left... one couple was in a booth and 3 people sitting at the bar. I only know the servers name as it was on the receipt. I honestly don't know if we will return or not?!?! read more

This is at the old Detroit Pub Location. Not a whole lot changed inside, not much needed to change. The new menu is great! Lots of fun tasty new additions. My husband got a Monte Cristo and was in heaven. Fries are waffle fries, I'm not a huge fan of waffle fries but they were good. The new owner (we met one of 2) is fantastic. He is very involved and that's great to see. Come out and try the new Abbibo, you won't be disappointed. The food is great and the prices are low! We will be back. read more

The food here is great. But that's not all that's great about this place. Its the neighborhood bar. Its the go to place for you and your spouse in the evenings but you can take the kids there for an early dinner still. The prices are great for the food and the bar. Abbibo is a great addition to Mt Clemens and picks up right where the Detroit pub left off and has improved on it. They still have Thursday ladies night with a great band. They have a super cheap taco Tuesday. We love this place and don't want to see it close! So come check it out! read more

Had the Abbibo burger. Egg was perfect. The fries were crisp. Our waitress was the only one serving tables at lunch. She was running and still taking care of everyone. Great service and good flavor. I can imagine the night crowd being different but lunch was great!! See you again read more

What a gem in the heart of the downtown area of Mt. Clemens. Abbibo is a family owned restaurant with a fun atmosphere and friendly waitstaff. Their menu is all over the place which is something I seek out because I like trying new things all the time. Full service and impressive full size bar. They have a dance floor and live music. A few arcade games to keep your buzz going (; The facility is clean and kept. Overall a good customer service experience. I will be back! read more

Finally tried this place the other night. Great fast service, drinks were made well. I had the Monterey chicken and it was perfect! They have a lot on the menu so many choices. I also got a side salad and it was very fresh and surprisingly big. They mixed up my husbands order but instantly made it right. We will definitely be back. 4 tables in the whole place when we sat down - order a Patty Melt and waited 37 minutes before being told - it'll be out in a few more minutes - had to handle 2 orders ahead of us and not much room in the kitchen. A table of 7 and a table of 4. Seriously?? She avoided us the whole time and the copped a major attitude when we said we waited long enough and were leaving - got the big "Fine - $3.25 for the beer" Could not have been more disappointed in the slow service, piss poor attitude. Funny thing is we watched two other parties sit at the bar and walk out because they too long to even be greeted. That should tell the story. read more

We really liked this place. Where else can you get upscale food in a down to earth atmosphere. We had the Filet Mignon for $8.95 (can you believe it?) It was cooked perfectly, seasoned very well. It was served with Zip Sauce, Baked Potato with Sour Cream and Chives, Roasted Brussels Sprouts (they were so yummy) and Soup or Salad. Yes, it has a Bar atmosphere with the TV's and Dart Board, but at least we don't have all the noise of families and kids like the local chain steakhouses which would be another option for a meal like this for twice the amount of money. They have other items daily they they feature that are not on their menu. We look forward to coming back and trying some of those. The owners are very friendly. read more

So first time here. Music selection is good, 70s 80s mix, but played a little too loud, seems to be a lot of regulars and not very busy for a Friday. Bar is clean and a decent selection of beer. Good place for cheap drinks and people watching. They have a few bright spots on the menu (Monte Cristo being one of them), but there's a lot of duds as well. I wish they would condense their menu and make more items in-house, opposed to serving previously prepared garbage. They often over-serve and don't monitor their guests. The crowd is pretty raunchy after 7pm or so... It's not a place that I would take a date, or go to enjoy myself with a group of people that didn't want a ton of interjection from outside participants. read more

I've been here a few times for food now. I don't pay much attention to the bar, just go to a booth. Their prices are very reasonable and their food is worth the price. Last Tuesday we went and had a super bitchy waitress. Normally the waitresses are fast and pleasant. She just had an attitude. Yeah... No. Never again. Boyfriend and I came in on a Saturday night for dinner. Walked thru the back, the place was basically dead besides a couple ransoms at the bar and one table of two people. Maybe it should have been a clue. No one greeted us. So we walked close to the front door. One bartender and two servers were walking around and but it took anyone 5 mins to say hi. We finally got seated. Asked for a drink menu and the girl looked bewildered.. And said, no menu, we have a couple beers on special. Boyfriend chose a miller and it was warm. We asked for a calamari app after listening to the cook/servers screaming at each other in the back. They were out of calamari. The server went in the back to double check and the cook basically yelled at her "yeah, I told you before we are out". We asked her to give us a few and weighed our options. She came back and we asked for the bill so we could leave and she said ok and laughed and said "you must have really wanted that calamari!" Excuse me?! No. We wanted to be seated properly, given some options, not had to listen to screaming. It was an incredibly unpleasant experience and the reviews made me want to like it. Visited for the second time on a Friday night. The place was almost empty, a few people at the bar and 1 or 2 tables filled. Sat down in a booth and a waitress came by shortly with menus and left. She came back and took drink and food order at the same time. My partner ordered a salad with ranch dressing with his meal. She brought the drinks and we didn't see the waitress again for about 20-25 minutes. Meanwhile, our drinks are gone and so is she apparently. She finally came back and said "no one made any ranch dressing, do you want something else?" This took 25 minutes to figure out? He chose another dressing and she brought the salad and then brought both entrees. I noticed she passed by our booth carrying the food and then came back. I have to say the food was good along with the prices, but the service was really bad. We had to ask for a refill on a drink which we never got but were charged. As we were eating we heard loud yelling from the kitchen "didn't anyone make any f***ing ranch? Where is the f***ing ranch?" This was so unprofessional and just so wrong. Who needs to hear screaming and profanity while trying to have dinner? A young man then came out with a little cup of dressing and asked if we wanted it. Too late, salad was finished.. When we said we never got the drink refill but were charged the waitress said she would take it off the bill but never did that. Very disappointing - will not be back. read more
