Lemon sherbet
Fox E.

If Bacharach owned this place and performed crooner concerts every night, it'd be Ab-Burt's. Similarly if Smokey and the Bandit was filmed here, it'd be Ab-Burt's. And if a gay Sesame St character went in 50-50 with his friend Ernie but insisted on the naming rights to it, then it'd be Ab-Bert's. So now you know, girlfriend. What to get: Lemon Sorbet, Vanilla or Salted Caramel Custard. Can you be more specific: Get the f***ing Lemon Sorbet. If a yellow spiky-headed punk cartoon kid owned it, it'd be Ab-Bart's. And it'd be full of drunk fathers and saxophone-wielding sisters. And ugly clowns and maybe even Sideshow Bob aka David Luiz. It's an in-joke for footy fans. Look it up. Another wonderful Abbott's location, this one way out in Brockport. It's not in the cramped little centre of town, it's further south, so it has a nice spacious parking lot and you can get "in and out" without being caught up with the students, shoppers and traffic. If Hipsters came here, it'd be Ab-Beard's. Sort of like Blackbeard's but with much less piracy and much less Ab-development (custard is not equal to hot abs). I don't know why pirates are so bad at developing Abs. They just arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. What I liked about it: (1) The Lemon Sorbet was *amazing*. It must be "dairy sorbet" because I had the non-dairy version at Abbott's Webster and hated it. This on the other hand is some of the best sorbet I've ever eaten. (2) The girls working here are so nice, it's almost painful. And they give out great big portions too. Such sweethearts. You just want to scoop them up and hug them, they're so nice. Or maybe you want to do other things with them but that's your f***ing business, creep. (3) The prices are slightly cheaper than at other Abbott's. (4) They had Salted Caramel Custard which was really good, although the Lemon Sorbet was the hands-down winner. Lemon Sorbet was creamier and milkier than I expected but so damn amazing. When you spend the entire "Salted Caramel" portion of the review talking about the Lemon Sorbet, you know how damn good it was. (5) They have inside and outside seating, since I know you love it outside, and love it inside even more, baby. If Matt Damon came here using a fake passport driving a tiny VW Beetle or Citroen or whatever it was, it'd be Ab-Bourne's. And Paul Oakenfold would DJ while you slurped down your Sorbet. And made out with random French girls. What I didn't like: (1) The regular cones were a bit hard and stale. It's OK, I often throw them out anyway. (2) They have weird pseudo-political uber-patriotic army stuff all over the walls. Maybe Brockport has a ton of soldiers heading off to war. But the propaganda on the wall almost made me deduct a star. Freedom isn't free and don't mess with USA and all this crap. Plus they have "country profiles" on Somalia and Afghanistan. Surprisingly the profiles didn't detail how many Somalians or Afghans have been killed by our troops in the last 20 years. Nor how many of our American kids have died or been crippled or maimed or psychologically damaged over these wonderful wars we've been waging there. But these are just my opinions, you're welcome to your own. And Abbott's are welcome to their own too, but is plastering their political opinions all over the walls really a good idea? I know it p***ed me off. It probably has a similar effect on some others too. (3) I didn't like the hate-mail responses to my 2nd point. Which I didn't get yet, but I have premonitions. So in advance: I'm not trying to offend you and nobody loves the USA more than I do - believe me. We can love the USA in different ways. I don't have to support wars to support this amazing country. Other than that, this is an absolutely wonderful little custard shop and one of the highlights of Brockport (not that it has too many, lol). I'll definitely be back to this location for the lovely service and products. It's in my top 5 Abbott's locations for sure and I've been to almost all. If this were a training regime that focused squarely on the mid-section (tummy and rear end) then it would be Ab-Butt's. Actually I think that idea could make a lot of money. Hold on while I patent it and buy a 4am infomercial slot on a channel that nobody watches. Chain info: Abbott's is the best local custard chain in America. Abbotts/Bill Grays share space like Taco Bell/KFC do in many places. However this location is only Abbott's. If everyone here wore thigh high stiletto latex footwear then it'd be Ab-Boots. And I'd probably come here way more often. In all kinds of ways. It's one of my "best 5 custards I've ever had." I think I like custard more than ice cream, more than fro yo, less than real gelato. For custard specifically, which is sort of like soft-serve-but-creamier, the best in the country are Leon's in Milwaukee and Nielsen's in Vienna, VA, and then Abbott's in 3rd. But get down here and try this delicious custard. No ifs, Abs, or Bott's about it.

So good! Creamy and smooth. Be careful, the servings are huge. Love the flurry. Always stop by when I'm visiting family.

J P's Farm Market - It's a gas station. What can I say that's funny, jerk. Jp. Just playing.

This gas station is in the middle of Holley, NY, and I try not to go here too often because I ain't…read moreno Holley-back girl. JP could stand for "Jokes Please" which is what you all say when I write a serious review. Or "Jigantic P****" but if that is the case, someone has their priorities arguably wrong, not to mention a spelling deficiency. What I do like about JP's is that it's not horribly overpriced like some of these "only gas station for 10 miles" are, and since it's the only gas station for 10 miles, it can help you out late at night (although not too late, because it closes for the night until the crack of dawn, so be careful not to rely on it). Usually I will give this sort of mid-price gas station a neutral 3-star rating, but because it helped me out in a pinch, and because service was friendly, it scores a 4. And I figured out what JP stands for. Don't think... "Just Pump."

I went to get a sundae tonight at jp's farm market. I ordered a standard Mexican sundae. I…read moreordered it as a large sundae since they had 2 different sizes. I asked how many scoops would that be? the counter person said she did not know, but they keep scooping till it was full. my friend also ordered a sundae. When I received my sundae it was not looking that good. it only had halfway up with ice cream whereas my friends cup was full of ice cream. I asked the counter girl why they looked so radically different overflowing compared to anemic. When i further protested the person who made mine said it was fine with 3 and a half scoops, but she did not make the other one. The person who made mine was rude and condescending in her tone and attitude. She said it's nine and were closed and then she shut the window.... I was left with a substandard sundae. I came to find out that the person who was so rude and naSTY was the owner of the business in question. i would strongly recommend to avoid this establishment since the owner is outright rude. She is unprofesional highly recomend avoiding them.

I definitely recommend this place for a good all you can eat Chinese buffet, at a reasonable price…read more Now it doesn't look like much from the outside. I had stayed away from it in the past, because the strip mall looks rundown, their signage looks 30+ years. Do not let that fool you. The inside is very clean. I would call it the first trendy Chinese dive I've been to. That is a very high compliment, if that is your jam. If you know, you know. I did not take pics of the outside, it's a mess, with easy parking, that's all you need to know. BUT!!!!' I did take pictures of the Bathroom, TADA!!! Because we don't do that enough on yelp. Especially, when visiting cool dives. There are just certain things you want to know in advance. lol. I'm happy to report, they were very clean. We popped in on a whim. We didn't have a lot of time, but BF zipped in on a whim. it, Saving time on menus, ordering drinks etc.... Without eating typical fast food. It is hands down the best Chinese buffet in the area. If you do not live in Brockport, it's worth the drive. Or maybe plan some errands there. The inside is quite funky! A little different from your usual Chinese buffet decor. Made me wonder if they left some things up on the ceiling that were there before them. It was super cool. Had more of a family vibe, with a trendy twist. It would be a cool casual date night place, or run after working up an appetite shopping at Ollie's, next door. They had some tables that looked private, with the right person could make it Romantic. My BF surprised me with it, and I felt our booth was private, and had a little of that low cost romantic swoon. Haha!! And I'm old! They do not have as much as other Chinese buffets I've been too, but what they do have is so much more fresh and delicious, it makes finding the good stuff fast. Also, don't let that comment fool you. They have all the good stuff, that buffets are made for. They had frog legs, which I haven't seen since I left Chinatown in DC. They were also delicious, steamed clams, Hibachi chicken, chicken and pork on skewers, that were juicy and tasty. Many of the usual staples, egg rolls, dumplings. Ooh side note their dumplings tasted homemade, not doughy or thick. I took pictures of our plates, but it is hard to decipher what everything is, because we piled up. The service was quick and impeccable. She asked what we wanted to drink while bringing us to our seat. Something I appreciated, due to us not having much time. We were able to head straight for it. It's worth it just for their chicken wings. Since everyone else is charging ridiculous prices for wings. Ooo wait that reminds me, they have blue cheese dressing. Which has been an ongoing complaint of mine with Chinese buffets. Now of course this is not fine dining, it's a buffet, of course you are going to have things you do not like. But when it comes to buffets, I just focus on what I do like. Great family place, they are less expensive than most other places too. They also do have take out. But it was 12.99 for lunch and 15.99 for dinner during the week, and so think weekends are a 1.00 or 2.00 more for dinner. I didn't get a chance to see the kids prices. But there is a lot there for kids. French fries, chicken tenders. Their salad bar was really fresh. All condiments were available, clean, and full. They also had it all, including non Asian condiments, like American Salad dressings , hot sauce, ketchup. We were able to check out as quickly as we checked in. Just go and treat yourself the next day you're running around crazy, and take a quick break there. The staff was busy the entire time, even though the restaurant was not so busy. They were cleaning, refilling, assisting kids, families, us. They all just kept finding things to do. No one sitting around gabbing while you are trying to get their attention. They really do cater to their customers.

Usually a good experience, I've been coming here my whole life. But this most recent time, our bill…read morewas $43. Dinner buffet was $15.99 and my bf got a soda - $2.99. Tax was somehow $9? The owner then made my bf feel stupid for asking. This has never happened before to us. We didn't receive a receipt. Possibly it was that we were at a table of 8, however there was no notification of automatic gratuity or anything either.
